The M3 will be a beast, of course, with the M5's V-10 minus 2 cylinders, why wouldn't it be? It might be hard for the purists to take though...seeing a V8 in an M3...I mean, the original M3 came with an I4, followed by the I6's, but those lively inline engines were what really made the cars...I'm sure the V8 will be great, but it's just not the same...
On another note, I find it interesting what they did with the halos on the headlights...The E90's halo's look sooo stupid. Instead of having a cutoff at the top, they have a cutoff at the bottom...makes them look all googley-eyed. With this though they kind of cut off the top, but they also kinda of half-assed it...instead of designing the housing the correct way which would cut off the rings naturally, they just stopped the celis lighting. (btw, celis is the technology developed by Hella (the headlight manufacturer) for the BMW halos and the LED light bars in the taillights which can kind of be seen illuminated in my sig...they're basically prism light rods more or less)
I don't know if I like this new turbo stuff...I know BMW used turbos a bit in the past (most notably on the 2002's, sick cars btw), but generally, BMW has always been about high performance in terms of naturally aspirated engines. This new engine should be magnificent, don't get me wrong...sounds like it will be awesome. Forced induction is a common modification on BMW engines (turbos especially for the I engines...superchargers more for V8's like my engine), but I don't know...I feel kind of apathetic to it being available as standard.
