I wonder what the new fascias will look like on the XLR?

A few dealers who've seen it on a Cadillac forum I frequent said this:

I saw the new 2009 XLR-V

comes with new wheels, Side vents like the CTS, New front and rear end new grill upper and lower. .. New colors.. New dash, cluster,

It should sell better now.. Don't know if the HP will be raised or not.. New interior and wood.. Door skins have different switches on them too. Bluetooth.

The vents actually look pretty nice unmasked. The powertrain is unchanged for '09- still 443hp.

As far as the other cosmetic changes, there's no more "Supercharged" emblem on the door (just a V), the new rear and front fascias look really nice, and the interior gets a few subtle enhancements- Corvette style font on the gauges to replace the BVLGARI, new window switches, mirror controls and an Alcantara headliner and sunvisors.

Well, that didn't really discuss the front much...but think CTS-STS-Escalade like, finally, and no longer the last gen CTS like nose, and you'd have it.

Speed limit notification! Look out because big brother has you covered.

What? Didn't see that......

But a few of the manufacturers are coming out with a system that you can pre-set a speed as the driver that when you exceed it, the car gives you some sort of notification. It's supposed to operate like setting a cruise control.....but doesn't keep your speed down, only notifies you when you've exceeded your own pre-set speed......

Speedminder? Buicks had that at least back to the mid-1950s.

Dominic's 1957 Century has it.

The GTO has that... it beeps at you when you exceed a certain speed which you can set from I believe 30 to 135mph. Mine's set on 135 :P
