Beyond Hot

Yeah, the side profile looks awesome. But I've got a couple gripes: the front and back look retarded and it looks like there's NO chance of fitting anything under the hood (and it doesn't have ME proportions).

Looks like there is room for an LSx to me. I love the look of the profile and front end, though the back end may bit just a bit over the top.

Not boring in any way, that's for sure.

I love the 50's style teeth in the grill and the body is beautiful! I see Saab Aero X and the SS concept sedan in the body profile and front fenders. I am on the fence with the rear end. Too much going on back there for my eyes. Something along the lines of the 67 would be kick ass!

WOW!!!

This design makes the current Corvette look

like a 1st gen. Ford Probe by comparison.

I LOVE the Corvette, I really DO, but both

the 5th and 6th gen. redesigns are just

slight departures from the 4th gen. All that

talk of 2nd gen. |DNA in the 6th gen. before

it as unveiled made me think the C6 was

quite boring... it's performance is SO much

better than its styling depicts.

PLEASE GM, PLEASE, build something THIS

radical... it will sell better than ever!

Very interesting.... the images at Leftlane that I linked to are no longer there. Must have gotten a little too hot and close for comfort for somebody. The image Camino posted first shows most of the detail that were in the new one, for those who did not get to see it. I agree, this is a step that should be taken to make the Vette more credible; however, a friend who has a C5 ZR1 thought it was a bit dramatic. There will always be purists. If the Vette takes this direction. maybe this means that we will see a Caddy Cien after all. Hey, take a look at the new Aston Martin One-77 and you can see it is time to move forward.

Eh... the Cien was awesome but not even half as cool as the

Sixteen, there's a million "EXOTIC" mid-engined V12 supercars

out there but the Sixteen was a car the likes of which we

have not seen since the era of coachbuilt Dusenbergs, 452

powered Cadillac dual cowl phaetons etc...

It's was a billionare genetleman's family sedan, a car with the

potential to be considered adult, not a toy or a sports car, a

car that was something a Rockefeller Aristocrat or J.P. Morgan

would be impressed by....

The Sixteen made the Maybach look lame by comparison, like a

BMW 5-series makes a Lincoln MKZ look stupid by comparison.

Off topic, but:

Aston is owned by american investors now, right?

From Wikipedia:

On 12 March 2007 a consortium led by Prodrive chairman David Richards purchased Aston Martin for £475m/USD$848m.[13] Prodrive has no financial involvement in the deal.[14] Ford will keep a stake in the company (valued at GBP 40 million / USD 70 million). The consortium also consisted of John Sinders, an Aston Martin collector; and two Kuwaiti investment companies, Investment Dar and Adeem Investment Co.
