Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum, I'm Marc and I'm from Denver. I drive a 2004 Silverado Z71 and I love it. My wife has a 2001 Blazer, but we're going to be retiring that one soon for an Avalanche. Looking forward to hanging out with y'all here on the forums.

Welcome Marc...we're a friendly bunch... I'm sure you'll love it here!

Welcome vader33 (love the name and the fact you're a GM truck person too!). Hopefully some of the nut jobs around here won't scare you away!! :P

0MFGzzzzz! a n000bbb!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Wow, now that I got that out... Welcome to C&G! I'm NOS and I'm one of your resident Cobalt SS/SC owners. :smilewide:

Welcome, Marc. I hope you enjoy your stay here. We're a friendly bunch of crazy characters.

Hi Vader 1/3rd of a 100:

I am one of the nutjobs that GMTruckGuy was talking about. :smilewide:

Your two BOF, RWD, GM-made trucks* seem to paint

a good picture though, as does your (great) choice of an

Avalanche for a future product. Trading in a 4.3 V6 for a

(4.8/5.3/6.0/8.1 liter) V8 means you mean business!

Welcome, fellow GM fanatic.

* I don't take this term lightly... a Ridgeline is NOT a truck.

A real GM fanatic would know that the 4.8 never touched an Avalanche engine bay. Only the 5.3 and 8.1 <previous generation> and 6.0 <current generation; replaced the 8.1> have ever powered Avalanches.

Welcome vader! Enjoy your stay, and don't be intimidated by the crazies, they're part of what makes this place so great.

I save brain cells for much more important 411.

For the record when the Avalanche was launched in cy2001

I was one of the first to drive one in the north east, outside

of the guys who delivered them to the dealers high atop

Peterbilt 379 car carriers & KW900s....

And I always knew my $hit as a carsalesman, I was the

go-to guy on (useless and otherwise) facts. I just do not

give a flying crap about anything post-1973 anymore.

just a friendly jab from a fellow nutjob

....and (former?) Avalanche owner.

Welcome, Vader33!

This place is a little nuts, but it is a lot of fun.

Oh, and I'm into small cars but I love trucks too. Congrats on owning a Z-71, I am jealous!

Chris

Are you my father?

Welcome to the board, sir. Check my signature for my ride.
