hehe, i used to have a Macintosh Performa 631CD with 8 mb of ram upgraded to 24mb and a 500mb hard drive. 66mhz Motorolla 68040 processor.

I also remember using Mac IIci or whatever they were called at school that had no hard drives and in whatever their version of BIOS is called was options for processor speeds of: Slow, medium, and fast.

ONE FULL MEGABYTE OF RAM

Our first Mac was a Performa 600 which we just got rid of a few years ago. Since then we've collected:

Performa 6116CD (dead video)

PowerBook 190 (dead)

PowerBook 5300c

iMac DV SE (dead CRT)

12" iBook G4

Newton MessagePad 2000 (dead)

two 1GHz eMacs

Macintosh Classic

17" PowerBook G4

And some HP thing my dad uses for his business.

My G3 is running behind me as I type. It's 10 yrs old this yr- good for a few games & graphics programs & PageMaker (which I still use for business).

The only Apple I've ever owned is a G3 an old girlfriend of mine gave me. My cousin, however, is a big time Apple nerd. His most prized possession is a brand new, never used Apple IIgs WOZ edition with every optional drive and accessory brand new, sealed in the box with every ounce of paperwork. He bought it for $300 off an old boss of his about 15 years ago who bought it for his daughter to use in college but she ended up not going. He tells me it's worth a small fortune.

Cool...

Apples are for eating. :P

Back in elementary school, all we used were Apples. The old nasty ones like these:

Wow, my school was using discontinued computers...
