Guess Who Coming To Chevrolet's Lineup? The Spark

Featured Replies

THESE ARE THE CARS THAT MAKE THE EXCITING CARS POSSIBLE.

I thought we long ago established that 'it doesn't cost any more to design a good looking car'?

I'm not calling the Fiesta 'art', but it's certainly cohesive and inoffensive.

The other one is not attractive on so many levels.

This is still (conceptually) viable IMO:

I'D drive the up! (dumb name aside) way before I'd drive a Spark.

Of course, that's a concept that would be watered down/ VW-ized for a production model.

Yes, the other 2 are stylistic turds.

fiat 500 competes here size-wise, no? It's OK, nothing great but a number of steps above the Spark.

Spark is hideous...

Both are pointy and green. More similar than different. Similar light clusters, fog light openings, lower grilles, etc.

Sure; that's why redesigning the Aveo into the Sonic was so unnecessary.

Shoulda saved the money and str-e-e-e-tched it out ala the Impala. :P

The Aveo was outdated and uncompetitive in the market. The Sonic seems to be more competitive and up to date, and the Spark goes for the entry level market below the Sonic.

The VW Up is a perfect example of how a small car should be done.

At the rate things are going this will be the new Impala in 2030! Sad!

they're all just little eggs.

Yes, but the Spark seems to be vying for ugliest in class.

Where is the Hyper I know? Your not jumping for joy that GM will be making a load of cash and that we should be happy that they still make a Caddy version of the Sonic for those that want a large Lux auto? Sorry but that's the way you come off most of the time. And the way you beat the Impala wow I didn't think you cared for it at all. :confused0071:

The production VW Up, as shown in Bimmer's photo, is a much more attractive tiny car than the Spark, which is just WAY too trendy. Its shelf life is already dangerously close to being over, and it's not even out yet. Even with the refresh as seen in the picture of the blue Spark, it appears to be designed for a very short production run.
