A day after GMC announces pricing for the new Acadia, Buick has gone ahead and revealed pricing for the new Enclave. Starting at $39,270 (includes $825 destination charge), the new Enclave is about $2,000 more than the outgoing model, but comes with a lot more standard equipment.

All Enclaves come with HID headlights, LED daytime lights, rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, remote start, a seven-inch touch-screen with Buick’s IntelliLink infotainment system, GM’s new front-center air bag, a power liftgate, and a direct-injected 3.6L V6 producing 288 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque.

The 2013 Enclave will come with two option packages (taking the place of CX and CXL)

  • Leather Group (starts at $43,285): Adds leather-appointed upholstery, heated front seats, an eight-way power passenger seat, memory seat settings and Side Blind Zone Alert with Cross Traffic Alert.
  • Premium Group (starts at $46,450): Adds 19-inch chrome-clad wheels, articulating headlamps, a Bose premium audio system, cooled front seats, power-folding side mirrors and a power tilting/telescoping steering column.

New 2013 Buick Enclave Priced at $39,270

Modern style and advanced technology define new luxury crossover

DETROIT – The Buick Enclave – the top-selling three-row luxury crossover SUV in the U.S. market – gets updated for 2013 with new styling, more standard equipment, added safety technologies and IntelliLink connectivity for a suggested retail price of $39,270 including an $825 destination charge.

The 2013 Enclave will offer three different equipment groups, all with standard content including a seven-inch Color Touch radio with IntelliLink, high-intensity discharge headlamps, Rear Parking Assist, a Rear Vision Camera, remote start, a power liftgate and other luxury features. Every 2013 model also comes standard with the industry’s first front-center air bag, which is designed to protect drivers and front passengers in far-side impact crashes.

An Enclave with the Leather Group adds leather-appointed upholstery, heated front seats, an eight-way power passenger seat, memory seat settings and Side Blind Zone Alert with Cross Traffic Alert starts at $43,285. Radar sensors monitor surroundings and alert the driver when a vehicle is in a blind spot or when a vehicle is approaching from either side while the Enclave is in reverse.

The available Premium Group includes all standard and leather group equipment, along with standard 19-inch chrome clad wheels, articulating headlamps, a Bose premium audio system, cooled front seats, power-folding side mirrors and a power tilting/telescoping steering column for a base price of $46,450.

Enclave offers 7- or 8-passenger seating choices with no added cost for either. Additional options vary among equipment groups, but all Enclave models can be equipped with all-wheel drive ($2,000), navigation ($$795-1,540) and a trailering package ($525).

New LED daytime running lamps and LED-accented taillights add design and technology on the Enclave’s exterior, while new ambient interior lighting adds a cool Ice Blue glow to the cabin.

Dual-flow dampers at the front of the vehicle are among the Enclave’s chassis refinement advancements. These new components provide a smoother ride and improved handling by controlling suspension dampening across a broader range of driving conditions.

Wow. Buick is now actually expensive. Buick has come a long way from being a slightly upgraded Chevy. I guess the Traverse will still start at around $30K. . . . or so I hope.

I guess the dealer was right in saying that the Enclave is Buick's flagship. . . . for now at least.

I know Buick is really trying to push up their prices to separate from being cheap Chevy's. And in this case with all the improvements and standard equipment......but overall, car prices are getting scary high. This is fine for the segment I suppose....when Explorers are pushing 45 and 50 g.....

I remember reading somewhere (I forget which magazine article it was) where they mentioned that a lot of automakers are vying to build a profitable $10K car. Only problem is is that regs and standards are so high that cars can seldom be sold brand new for less than $12K. I bring this up because GM could do a lot of people a fairly big favor by moving Chevy downmarket to get those customers from the used car market and build truly affordable cars. That of course would help Buick and Cadillac out too, in terms of market segmentation.

In other words, Corvette and Camaro aside, why are so many Chevy vehicles at or above $30K?

not much on the market under 20k anymore, really.

touched a Chevy Spark the other day. That's like 13k. I was amazed at the packaging for the tiny size. But if that is the future of cheap cars...........

      Buick's compact convertible, the Buick Cascada, won't be returning for 2020.  Buick has informed dealers that final orders for the car need to be in by the end of the month as production of the car is scheduled to end in the summer. The Cascada is produced by GM's former Opel division, now owned by PSA, in Poland.
      The Cascada was Buick's first convertible since the the Buick Reatta.  Approximately 17,000 have been sold since the car went on sale in 2016.
      The discontinuation of the Cascada, along with the pending departure of the LaCrosse, mark Buick's slow creep towards being an all-crossover brand.

The model will now start at $21,895 for the sedan and $24,495 for the hatchback - includes an $895 destination charge. For those keeping track, the 2019 3 sedan is $2,905 more expensive than the 2018 sedan, whereas the 2019 hatchback is $4,255 more than the 2018 model.
      The reason for the higher price tag is due to the 2019 model being only offered with the 2.5L four-cylinder producing 186 horsepower and six-speed automatic. A 2.0L SkyActiv-X compression-ignition engine will be joining the lineup later in the year and possibly help drop the price somewhat. Those wanting a manual will need to pony up $28,395 for the top-line Premium hatchback. It isn't available on the sedan All-wheel drive is optional on the sedan and hatchback, but only with the automatic.
      Standard equipment on the base sedan includes 16-inch wheels, cloth seats, and a 8.8-inch infotainment system. Stepping up to either the Select trim on the sedan or base hatchback will add 18-inch wheels, keyless entry, push-button start, i-Activsense active-safety features, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Higher trims add a power driver's seat, heated front seats, Bose audio system, LED lighting, and a heads-up display.

      A new year marks the beginning of the reduction of the federal tax credit for Tesla - from $7,500 down to $3,750. To counteract the reductions, Tesla has instituted a $2,000 price cut on all models. Here is how the pricing looks like,
      Model 3
      $45,200, Mid-Range $52,200, Long Range $63,200, Performance Model S
      $77,200, 75D $95,200, 100D $134,200, P100D Model X
      $83,200, 75D $98,200, 100D $139,200 P100D This reduction comes on the same day that Tesla announced fourth quarter production numbers. The past few months saw Tesla making cuts in colors and equipment to help reach their goal of delivering 100,000 Model S and X vehicles by the end of this year - they narrowly missed it with 99,394 deliveries. For the Model 3, Tesla was able to deliver 145,846 vehicles in 2018.

      PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 02, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --In Q4, we produced and delivered at the rate of nearly 1,000 vehicles per day, setting new company records for both production and deliveries.
      Production in Q4 grew to 86,555 vehicles, 8% more than our prior all-time high in Q3. This included:
      61,394 Model 3 vehicles, in line with our guidance and 15% more than Q3. 25,161 Model S and X vehicles, consistent with our long-term run rate of approximately 100,000 per year. Q4 deliveries grew to 90,700 vehicles, which was 8% more than our prior all time-high in Q3. This included 63,150 Model 3 (13% growth over Q3), 13,500 Model S, and 14,050 Model X vehicles.
      In 2018, we delivered a total of 245,240 vehicles: 145,846 Model 3 and 99,394 Model S and X. To put our growth into perspective, we delivered almost as many vehicles in 2018 as we did in all prior years combined.
      Our Q4 Model 3 deliveries were limited to mid- and higher-priced variants, cash/loan transactions, and North American customers only. More than three quarters of Model 3 orders in Q4 came from new customers, rather than reservation holders.
      There remain significant opportunities to continue to grow Model 3 sales by expanding to international markets, introducing lower-priced variants and offering leasing. International deliveries in Europe and China will start in February 2019. Expansion of Model 3 sales to other markets, including with a right-hand drive variant, will occur later in 2019.
      1,010 Model 3 vehicles and 1,897 Model S and X vehicles were in transit to customers at the end of Q4, and will be delivered in early Q1 2019. Our inventory levels remain the smallest in the automotive industry, and we were able to reduce vehicles in transit to customers by significantly improving our logistics system in North America.
      Moving beyond the success of Q4, we are taking steps to partially absorb the reduction of the federal EV tax credit (which, as of January 1st, dropped from $7,500 to $3,750). Starting today, we are reducing the price of Model S, Model X and Model 3 vehicles in the U.S. by $2,000. Customers can apply to receive the $3,750 federal tax credit for new deliveries starting on January 1, 2019, and may also be eligible for several state and local electric vehicle and utility incentives, which range up to $4,000. Combined with the reduced costs of maintenance and of charging a Tesla versus paying for gas at the pump – which can result in up to $100 per month or more in savings – this means our vehicles are even more affordable than similarly priced gasoline vehicles.
      Tesla’s achievements in 2018 likely represent the biggest single-year growth in the history of the automotive industry. We started the year with a delivery run rate of about 120,000 vehicles per year and ended it at more than 350,000 vehicles per year – an increase of almost 3X. As a result, we’re starting to make a tangible impact on accelerating the world to sustainable energy. Additionally, 2018 was the first time in decades that an American car – the Model 3 – was the best-selling premium vehicle in the U.S. for the full year, with U.S. sales of Model 3 roughly double those of the runner up.
