I think it is immaterial to their bottom line, but it does make them a less likely acquisition target. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?2 points

Totally agree, I have seen that many companies both in the High Tech sector and outside but use high tech products are slowing purchasing and drawing out change and investment. This has me seeing a slow down also. I truly believe we are looking at the start of a Bear Market globally.2 points

So, about 11 years ago, I started talking about how the economy was unstable and Something Bad® was going to happen. That was 4 to 6 months before Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers. I wasn't the only one who saw it either.... some finance guy at Ford saw the writing on the wall and that's why they mortgaged everything before the crash hit. There is enough going on right now that I feel that Something Bad® is going to happen to the economy again in the next 6 to 12 months. It is unlikely to be as bad as what happened last time as the structural deficiencies aren't nearly as bad, but there is going to be a reversal in the direction of the economy. I am starting to take steps to try and insulate myself financially. Also, before anyone suggest it. It is not due to Trump, he is only a minor part of what I see causing the change. Edit: I made the prediction on here on April 6th, 2007.2 points

S Class doesn't even offer a hybrid in 2018. GTFO with that S Class has X Y and Z but they don't even offer a hybrid in freakin 2018. Thank the heavens the S Class has a start-stop system though... ?2 points

I'm good with styling changes but I'm not good with ugly ones. The entire internet is ripping apart the new Camaro. Your the first person to say it doesn't look like complete ass.2 points

Oh yeah? Their electric motors? Their battery module system? Their AWD system that connects the batteries and the motors and the drivetrain in general? All the computer computing power to enable 335 mile range and ludicrous mode? (obviously those times are probably not gonna be duplicated on the particular EV conversion car one wants to convert. Maybe...Maybe bested too?) You mean one could have a Tesla Model S P100D in any body shell one wants? That is awesome!!! However, I read an article about Porsche's EV sedan and those engineers sneered and laughed at the Model S... They said that their sedan will have more than 2 or 3 neck snapping drag race runs that will best the Model S P100D ludicrous mode times. They laughed that the Model S could only achieve those runs 2 or 3 times before having to recharge. Their sedan will be able to do that multiple times. OK...I find what the Porsche engineers are saying as just plain stupid talk...the Model S has been with us since 2012. 6 years... Their effort is still in concept mode... So still awesome that one could convert a classic muscle car if one chooses without resorting to a junk yard to find a totaled Model S...(because laugh at Tesla all we want, the Model S in ludicrous mode is one helluva beast of a machine...) The Porsche sedan will probably be a beast machine too...it ought to be though! They have 6 years of newer engineering technology and the Model S to start off with to best the Model S with... The thing is, the next generation Tesla roadster will showcase Tesla's next generation tech too...and that tech will most probably make itself into a Tesla Model S... The Model S will probably suffer with the same body shell though.1 point

True, I agree as you say not the full reason of why I believe we are starting a Bear Market, but it is one of many noticeable check boxes. Dell Technology pretty much has made all travel restricted as skype meetings / webex sessions are to be used with customers unless they are certain prime top 10% accounts then you can travel, but even they are have restrictions. I have also seen we are now on 5yr internal refresh of hardware versus 3yrs only a year ago. Many of our customers have informed us that they are moving to 5yr refresh cycles. Then you have the loosening of financial markets, the reduction in cash reserves that banks and investment firms have to hold onto. etc. etc. etc. Like you there are many signs that we are going into a slowing market or bear market world wide and that will have effects. Even in China, things are slowing, course Trade wars do not help either. Interesting times we are in.1 point

We have to have a proper definition of ass...because if the definition of ass is this: Then that would be a good thing... However, when it comes to the 2019 Camaro refresh...I believe swamp ass or plumber butt is what we are referring to....1 point

As high tech as a 2008 Saturn Aura Green-Line.1 point

Interesting. The LS400 (1990) had a 4L V8 producing 250HP. The LS430 (2001) had a 4.3L V8 producing 290HP. The LS460 (2007) had a 4.6L V8 producing 380HP and the LS600h had a 5L V8 hybrid producing 439HP. And only this year does Lexus drop the V8 entirely because of CAFE and other restrictions elsewhere. Sad. Too bad that the best sales years were prior to the last recession (2007).1 point

Such a shame to see GM saddle the Malibu with a CVT. It is other wise a very competent car that I find quite compelling within it's segment. GM is going backwards with some of their products.1 point

I couldn't imagine paying those prices yearly to just maintain my vehicles(highest list). I could only see those making practical sense if I expected to go through a set of tires every year but if not, those are outrageous numbers.1 point

2019 Camaro is ASS and like Honda had to do a 6 month refresh, I suspect Chevy will have to do the same! Terrible0 points
