Today my father would have been 80 had he lived...I miss him also. Ohhh absolutely. And while we are on the subject of liquid fuels... Everything from railroad locomotives to Jet aircraft to spacecraft to god knows what else...only has a limited ability to be switched over to electric. We will be using liquid fuels and ICE for a LONG time....for the rest of the life of everyone reading this for sure.3 points

I can see VWAG building a Bugatti EV to out do Tesla’s new roadster. Something insane with performance like 0-60 in 1 sec and 300mph top speed...2 points

I had a random thought when I saw a Yukon Denali pass me on the opposite side of the street today... I was stunned to realize how phoquing huge that Yukon grill is. Then I started laughing hysterically all by myself thinking about it.2 points

At this point now I will be surprised if there is a nex gen challnger. or maybe it goes back to front drive! R/T! Turismo! GLH! Shelby! The market is not driving these changes, it is outside forces. I like electrics but it is now starting to get forced down our throats. should compete well with the next Camaro! inspired by citation X11! Front drive, electric option and look at the improved visibility! just what everyone is asking for!2 points

Cadillac needs to be Cadillac. Cadillac needs to produce and sell products that are true to its brand's historical image. Cadillac needs to stop trying to sell to every Tom Dick and Harry. Yes, this is volume and volume is good for fast cash. But Cadillac shouldnt be fast cash. That is what Chevrolet and GMC are for. Cadillac also needs to start building those products that make everybody dream. And we know Cadillac still has the brand image to do that just with a handful of concepts they revealed over the last 15 years. And yeah, broken ass cigars shouldnt be buying Cadillacs. This should be Cadillac's internal battle cry plastered on every single Cadillac headquarters wall and their new slogan! For public media advertising, it should be the short version: THIS IS CADILLAC2 points

Well, to me it is a good looking, chunky little useful conveyance. Love the diesel with stick. Europeans still love stick shifts. If you want something more whimsical, choose its sister vehicle, the Citroen Berlingo... Plus, ya gotta know how to switch hands, otherwise certain things get very boring! ?2 points

Nope, loud pipes cost lives, I see more people freak out due to the abusive noise of Harley's and be it pedestrians or drivers, the bikes still get hit. Tuned pipes is different, but the idiot Harley crowd seems to think ear breaking noise is best, must be deaf most of them anyway.1 point

Nope, did not miss that at all, just pointing out a different kind of Demon that has better low center of gravity due to the battery pack in the skateboard concept that should give even better track grip. I see both ICE and EV Demon having a place on the auto lot.1 point

I made some serious changes including daily working out last year as at 51 I thought about all my grandparents who lived into their late 90's, some physically well and some not so. I want to live life to the fullest so that means a nice Cadillac or other luxury activity auto to drive and my being physically fit. Working out means I get to eat bigger variety and drink what I want all in moderation. Rock it! my friends and live a full life.1 point

In my ideal world we would be two teenage boys cruising my old hometown in a Cutty 442 and burning the living PHOKKK out of those old 50 series bias plies on the rear while we were listening to some Rock on the 8 track...1 point

I think were are, or should be, just about done with the EV having to be different just to stand out to tell people you "care" for the environment. EVs are just about getting ready for the big time mainstream spotlight. No need for this weird styling. That was all crap marketing and the folk that bought into that just wanted to pat themselves on the back "for doing the right thing" Poseurs and posturing. All hypocritical.1 point

General Motors has that...in Chevrolet. And if they want, Buick and GMC. Rolls Royce does not have that, nor Bentley. Maybe Cadillac should align themselves closer to Rolls and Bentley? Like how they used to be since day one of their existence up until the 1970s...1 point

I bet the bulk of these will be in private car service. I would be surprised if any ended up in just normal private ownership service. Thinking on this, I bet they could easily keep this going with a 250-300 production a year. This would truly give special ownership to a conti of this style and build.1 point

Totally agree, when my son was part of the USA Gymnastics program, just way too many competitions across the US, so we always drove everywhere except if on the East Coast. That had me doing between 30-40K miles a year. Once the kids were gone and out of college, dropped to 15K miles a year on average as my wife and I still love road trips.1 point

90? Why is this news????? OH!!!? Because Cadillac publicized that they sold out the 275 CTS-Vs in less than an hour??1 point

I put almost 30k a year on my car, almost 100 mile a day commute. Unfortunately, my department doesn't allow working from home even though plenty of days I could do it. No way I could use public transportation either.1 point

I love how the owner, to maintain the pride of his or her image debadged it. The truly the finest case of having a sleeper car...when no one know's its a Mercedes... That's a Mercedes? (That's a Buick meme) OHHHHH WOWS.....take my money!1 point

There shouldnt be ANY Cadillac identity that is as low as the highest Chevy and mid Buick though... If they wanna do an ATS sized Caddy, that is fine. But that ATS sized Caddy better be of high luxury in workmanship, in quality and in price worthy of a Cadillac badge that is on it. Not of workmanship and quality and price of the best Chevy you can buy...but of the best workmanship, quality and HIGH price that is worthy of a Cadillac! That means that there shouldnt be an Impala LTZ on the lot with a Cadillac ATS and the Cadillac ATS is the SAME price of the Impala. I dont care if the Impala is the bigger car therefore the Impala gets to be equal to a Cadillac ATS. BULLSHYTE on THAT! For me and what I care for Cadillac, its that a Cadillac is supposed to be unattainable for the broken cigars. And therefore we fall back to the sales thing again... The Cadillac CUVs and SUVs are selling just fine. Therefore all this banter we are doing is maybe all for nothing!1 point

She maybe fine, but no thanx...let the music be played by musicians worthy of the tune. This is how a REAL rocker chick does AC/DC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sky1tt8vLA1 point

I always hated these. That and the BMW 318ti. I never understood the hate for the Cimarron still in the year 2000s when both BMW and Mercedes stooped to LOWER Cimarron standards and no fallout for BMW and Mercedes yet even in 2019, Cadillac detractors still laugh at Cadillac but those 2 shyteboxes are just brushed under the rug... I HATE that double standard! PS: There is nothing wrong with you liking that Benz. Its just how I feel about Eurosnobs giving Cadillac a hard time. PSS: Those two German cars were not even good on European roads BTW...yet Eurosnobs defended those shytboxes... I still shake my head with disbelief on that!1 point

Nothing to do with Cadillac and GM but... I just felt like quoting that quote. Its something my dad always said. I felt the need to be...my dad just now... And this is just the weirdest shyte ever. As Im here typing this nonsense to you, the TV is on the the movie Walking Tall is playing. Im not really watching it, but then a song comes on... My dad used to sing that all the time... I love you dad! I miss you!1 point
