I would love it if GM had a conquest rate of 66% on ANY of their vehicles; ideally all GM vehicles would have such a high conquest percentage. Lincoln seems to be doing some really good things with the new Navigator.

Love how you try to flip the number to bash yet another domestic brand. Meanwhile 66% of their buyers are coming from elsewhere like your local Mercedes, BMW, or Cadillac dealership.

I spotted this 2019 Colorado Z71 this morning, in the parking lot at my favorite walking trail. Lo and behold, the keys just happened to be in my pocket. So... I brought it home.

Sure, you can say that but it’s a segment that’s untapped. Hyundai could make it into something that everyone else abandoned years ago. I think Australia Proved it was viable until Holden shut down. I’m ready for an El Camino SS equivalent. Chevy could build one off the Blazer and I’d buy it as my daily driver and let my Camaro 2SS spend more time in the garage.

They should advertise it as a “Ute” or El Camino remake. Don’t try and sell it the the traditional truck buyers, that won’t work. I like this thing actually but then, I’m not much of a truck guy. I prefer sedans with two doors.

Congrats, @ocnblu! I wish IL didn't require front license plates..Plate-less looks so much cleaner and better. My Escape had those as well. Somebody on a forum said it was to get air to the brakes because wheels and tires have grown so much. I don't know the accuracy of that but it made sense to me.

Actually as an enthusiast I am actually starting to feel good about Ford again. New Bronco...Lincoln lineup looks fantastic. Mustang and trucks are everything they should be...transit is a good product. I think Ford discovered its voice in a way that it hasn't had for 40 or 45 years. They earned every conquest sale they got IMHO.

I've always been here and comment only occasionally. It's where I go for my automotive news.

That interior is simply GREAT. And I appreciate the monochrome package. I LOVE the Silver Spruce color Ford has out now, however.

Ah yes, the second-gen Corvair... absolutely love the design and think it is one of GM's best overall. Certainly THE best looking small GM car design ever. Early Vega is also a beauty, let down badly by half-baked engineering and rust protection. They only have themselves to blame.

The prices are out of control. High volume sales need realistic prices. Cars and truck are getting to the point where a 10 year note is needed just to make them affordable. That falls into the home mortgage space.

GM Marketing needs to get back to Basic's. Focus on family and the uses that auto's can have that Families would want to use it for. Show trucks doing things like hauling an RV trailer, boat with family inside of the truck enjoying the interior amenities. Show SUV's / CUV's doing the same thing pulling a PWC, or 2 person small RV. Couples having some we time in a National Park. Show cars out on the town for the night with couples and families. Cadillac XT family of CUVs should be shown being driven into a golf course with a young couple planning to enjoy a round of golf. Show a senior couple with grandkids pulling into an amusement park arriving in luxury for a fun filled day. It does not take rocket science to match up common use cases to how various auto's are used and highlight the superior nature of those auto's to the public on why they should buy GM. Arrive in the 21st Century driving a GM!

The world of commerce appeared so much happier in the mid 20th ~

We have a local truck accessory place, Car-Mic. "Everybody" who buys a new truck goes there immediately after leaving the dealership. I have ordered Husky floor liners from them. Next up is a tri-fold bed cover and Aeroskin hood protector. It does have the factory spray-in liner, which was a yuge consideration. With the Jeep in the garage and my downstairs living room renovation project finally done, seems like some space in the garage was stolen by "stuff". The truck fits, but I need to clean out the garage and haul some stuff to a final resting place, so it fits with more comfort. No Bedrugs or rubber bed mats this time, I got full factory bed protection. The 3.6L with 8 speed auto work together like peanut butter and jelly. Sooooo smooth. Above photo is not good quality. I will post a few more photos soon.

OK; I thought we debunked this whole 'headlight rating' thing before. We did... or I did. IIHS testing does not reveal any "poor" headlights, only RELATIVELY 'poor' headlights. They should all still eclipse headlights made just 10 years ago. This misleading rating will only spur automakers to release brighter and brighter and BRIGHTER headlights until we as opposing drivers are all legally BLIND. It WILL spiral out of control. IIHS should NNOOTT be ranking headlight 'performance'.

Also why isn't the back up camera retractable so it only comes out in reverse, thus isn't an eye sore when not in reverse and also can't get dirty, thus doesn't need water sprayed over it and the back of the vehicle leaving a washer fluid trail running down the bumper. Side note, I think the Black Label Navigator should be a 4 seater with lay flat seats, refrigerator, folding tables, power shades over all rear windows and a full glass roof with electrochromatic dimming and a blackout power retract suede headliner .

You literally missed the point to try and flip the narrative. Fact, 66% of Lincoln sales have come from NEW buyers which, last time I checked, was a good thing. Your screen grab from CARMAX means absolutely nothing. That’s just for CARMAX and nothing else. You have to be pretty desperate to reference that for anything. Referencing Edmonds is also spotty at best because their rankings are over the map from year to year. Yes, I asked the dealership to remove the airdam as I did with my 2015 Colorado. I think it looks so much more "ready" without it, like a 4X4 should look. Yes, it has little deflectors at the front of each rear wheel. I read somewhere it is to direct air around the wheels for better aero. Kind of like the beef air curtains on the new Silverado (and Ford Ranger! Along with many others). A Chevy dealer and a Ford dealer, each about 25 miles from me (and on the same general route north of here), showed blue midsize 4X4 extended cabs. The Ranger is an STX FX4, but it was discounted to only $1k cheaper than the Chevy, and the Chevy has way more stuff on it. I went to the Chevy dealer first. Never went to the Ford dealer. I have a deeper affinity for Chevy anyway. Thanks all for the nice comments. The itch is scratched. My truck is a twin to a co-worker's, so I need to make it stand out from his. I am thinking of the black bowties and black Colorado nameplate kit that are available through GM Accessories. I also have Husky floor trays ordered, and an Aeroskin hood protector (I prefer them because they lay flat to the hood, no gap to catch dirt.)

Are we sure there are millions, otherwise I would be seeing them far more often than a couple times a year. Maybe 20 to 30 thousand owners across North America.

Customer just got this dog - it's 10 wks old, weighs less than 2 lbs. She had me preemptively build her THREE coffins; for this dog, a 2nd dog not yet realized, and a 3rd one not even considered yet. I love wacky dog people.

Saw a 20 year old Navigator this afternoon in this Monocromatic style--black, with stock rims painted black, grille blacked out.. someone was ahead of the curve...;)

We live in Jersey; she's never pumped her own gas. lol But your statement is not a "fact", its a stereotype, and not that I gravitate towards these sort of labels at all, but it's kinda sexist. There are a significant quantity to women who race, build, repair & customize vehicles, and aren't afraid of a little dirt.

Never said they were angry, diesel-spraying woman. Just a fact woman do not like dirty greasy things and would when given the option not have to deal with gassing up an auto. Ford put together an all womans engineering team who designed and built key parts of the Ford Flex. They first used the design of a vacuum sealed gas door with no gas cap as it removed one more dirty item that woman did not like to touch. As such, we have now seen this copied and in use by plenty of various auto companies on their auto lines. I bet if you asked your wife about this, she would say she would rather not have to touch a gas cap or fuel an auto if she had her choice.

Not surprised....it truly is on the way out. At some point gas prices will shoot up hard yet again-and that is why EV is going to pick up and bury diesel -or at least what is left. It’d the reason why the rest of the word is dumping diesel and going with smaller ICE and EV based cars....

Number one: they never advertised it. This was an amazing combination of economy and power. 38-39 MPG in this class of vehicle is UNHEARD OF (in more ways than one, unfortunately). Pundits said ppl want economy, first and foremost. That was a lie.

Any other major, radical revisions/upgrades besides the sticker & the shorter antenna? Perhaps one of those air vent air fresheners? Whatcha gonna put in the bed?
