  1. I forgot that each SLP car (Camaro SS / Firehawk) came with 'birth certificates', complete with 'birthmark' & 'footprints' :
  2. This thing is an absolute work of art....highly impressed...
  3. yes, lots of truth there. However, some have managed to pull off some distinction I feel. The Volvos have a scultping that I think people are able to recongnize as distinct (the Xc90 for example). I think the Lexus RX also. I just think that on the side of the XT6 there isn't really even a hint of Cadillac in it. The XT5 has a bit of the older SRX in them and also still has a bit of the art and science vibe to it, as well as some CTS influences. The side flanks of the XT6 I don't think they even had the time to really explore even some decent character lines.
  4. To sell windshields, and they're not the only OEM that does it
  5. ASSumption!!! That is what your making here and you made it about the SRX, XT5 and they both have outsold the MB products. Try again Waldo!
  6. The only place you could probably point to for valid numbers would be Porsche. Otherwise, while there are those of us that want hot SUVs. I think it is a much smaller number than @smk4565 realizes. Would love a new SS suv to replace the Trailblazer SS.
  7. WHOLE LOT MORE PROFITABLE THAN GM SELLING SMALL CARS
  8. Lot of spottiness out there; too many cars with automatic lights blasting down nighttime highways with all lights out or no functional brake lights. I swear its gotten worse, not better.
  9. I would bet money that if GM made a Corvette SUV that was rear drive/awd, 495 hp and same price as the C8, it would outsell the C8 by a wide margin. Performance SUV is a hot growing segment.
  10. Do you know why Chrysler / FCA puts that lil graphic on your Jeep?
  11. I'll admit, even though the XT6 and the forsaken XL7 are almost peas in a pod (same size, same motor)... It actually does turn out that the XT6 side profile is quite a bit different than the SEX L 7 I will say the XT6 has quite a big ass though. We are talking Kardashian huge here. BTW is there anything about the profile of the XT6 that is identifiable as a Cadillac without seeing the Cadillac badge on the car?
  12. Tucker did the same with it's concept 'Torpedo'.
  13. The seating is like how McLaren did with the F1.
  14. The XTS and XTS V-Sport could send 90% of the torque to the rear, but you never gave it credit for that. Just another example of you moving the goal posts around to support your favorite brand.
  15. Funny how years of you harping on transverse mounted engines (especially ones over 300 hp) changes into "teh best evarrr!"
  16. Former next door neighbors moved a couple miles away. They had a late model Liberty for many years, and a Kia Soul. The Soul got totaled in a crash about a year ago. They traded the Liberty on a new Cherokee, and she got a Renegade. Drove by yesterday and the Renegade's gone... replaced by an awesome green Soul X-line.
  17. Badass truck, no doubt -
  18. Porsche dealerships are usually paired with some other premium brand.
  19. With only 35K sold so far on track to sell 70K this year, it does make one wonder how a dealership stays open with so few sales. Gotta be expensive service.
  20. Not exactly aspirational, is it? At least in photos, it just does not have luxury cache.
  21. Even Lincoln is seeing the need for a 500 hp Aviator, even though they aren't aiming to be a performance vehicle. But we can all watch the Germans and Tesla see rise in SUV sales while Cadillac and Acura die on the vine with their range topper 305 hp V6 3-row crossovers.
