Nope. It’s definitely on the bulleted list that @David posted earlier. It’s one of those 7. 3G can be decoded to tell you exactly what I got. This might be too much of a clue, so if you get it, just hold on to it for now. I want to see if @balthazar can get this one from the clues given.2 points

I see a lot of similarity to the Velar in the shape and lines (not the details). The Velar is my favorite of the LR/RR models. The Flex I would call a CUV, I guess...the labels wagon and CUV seem to be hazy as to what is what. For example, the Volvo V90 I would call a wagon, but the XC90 I'd call a CUV or SUV... body height definitely plays into what is a wagon or CUV.....if the body height is more or less the same as an equivalent sedan, then it's a wagon IMO...2 points

This was designed as an EV, so that's not going to happen...and we are talking about GM..it would have had a transverse 2.0 4 had it been an ICE product.. I'd love to have seen GM build a powerful V8 CUV to compete w/ the Cayenne, but that window of opportunity is past...GM's future is electric as they have stated. GM is committed to the EV future...whether they will be successful or not only time will tell...2 points

@Robert Hall @balthazar As per the comment from all things EV hater @ocnblu stated about this icing up and not able to open up in winter, I disagree. Clearly GM / Cadillac took the automation of this door opening up into account as you have plenty of space below the panel that is where the ice, mud, road debris will get on and I do not see this affecting the operation of opening up for charging.2 points

Front fascias are the same, grilles differ. Headlights are the same...and the E-class is the only MB line w/ 4 bodystyles..sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon.1 point
-
Except all 4 of those are E-classes. I don't care if all Cadillacs look the same, I care if Cadillacs look like Chevrolets.1 point

? So just found a writeup on how to identify your Ford 3G, 4G and 6G alternators. https://alternatorparts.com/ford-type-3g-4g-6g-series-high-output-alternators.html That makes me think an F-150 Crew cab pickup with a trailer hitch for his rack to hold his bike.1 point

I do recall discussion of Merc GLE/GLS, Grand Cherokee Summit and Durango also at one time..1 point

@balthazar might like this old truck on Hoovie's garage... a forest service green longbed 2wd '03 Chevy Silverado...with a manual and 6.0 V8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGRf3iXimvg&t=29s1 point

I was thinking XT3 since it is closer to Encore sized. Anyway, welcome back, Drew...we've missed you!1 point

Yeah, I'm only going out once a week at most, so not seeing any classics that may be out and about.. been a stay-at-home summer.1 point

The black lower body trim certainly gives it the appearance of a slimmer profile...but I think it's more CUV tall than wagon slim...I see a bit of Lincoln Aviator in the lines, with that vertical narrowing as you go front to back.1 point
-
I also like how there clearly is an actual window in the C-pillar behind the door and not fake trim... they must not have let the CT5 designer near this. wagon, CUV, or non-sedan... it's interesting however it gets categorized...1 point

Agree with you that the stupid 2yr to get to market is just total mgmt. ignorance, would have been better to hold off on showing anything then till closer to the on sale date. Disagree with you on the ICE thing, that boat sailed and the companies who move to EV sooner will survive I believe. GM can survive on their current ICE line up to profit through the change over to an EV portfolio. Cool part is that I can see this as a Blackwing edition with the 3 motor 1,000 HP / 11,000 lb-ft of torque layout that they are planning for Hummer. Course, EV's are far more programmable than ICE and so they could have a potential 2,000 HP / 22,000 lb-ft of torque version to go into the ultimate Blackwing version all with Black chrome would be awesome. Rear is for sure very controversial and it does seem to generate a love or hate reaction on the web from people posting. For sure Cadillac has people talking about them.1 point

I dig this actually...pretty cool. but the idiocy of it (typical GM idiocy in a higher dose this time) is to not have it ready until 2 years from now, and also, it really would help Cadillac a lot more to make it ICE engine and sell it as the XT7. twin turbo six standard. Blackwing v8 twin turbo OHC optional. I'd change the rear side window a bit and wrap the tailights a bit differently but I sort of dig what they are getting at....trying cool things. Front lighting is way cool.1 point

I definitely want to check out the new Broncos once they are established. I liked the old Broncos (big and small). Looking forward to checking out the next Grand Cherokee also.1 point

Mentally something just snapped and for wahtever reason I no longer hate Ford. Would like one of the new Bronco's, but that is probably at least three years out with initial demand and teething.1 point

My work is so boring these days. But still able to bill for 40 hrs/week, thankful I don't have to commute to an office.1 point

Sorry; have had some depressing automotive news today; my detective hat is on it's hook. ? I think knowing what I know in general, the JGC fits the best RE DD's scenario, but I don't know. Not picking up on '3G'. Sorry. - - - - - grumpiness & sadness ?0 points

Waaaaay overthinking it. This will however handle the mototote to carry my motorcycle (when I buy that). The clue 3G is actually very simple.0 points
