I can't help but laugh that it threw a code on the initial test drive. I'd be furious about the fender bender and I would NOT want that to go on the vehicle's record.2 points

This era of SLs (late 50s thru at least the mid 80s) are incredibly crudely & shoddily built.2 points

It is a great looking & terrifically-designed car. The fold-down rear seats are awesome. I tried to buy a red '66 383 Charger once but it didn't work out. I think some folk look at the design process as a collection of final designs, when the truth is (even at the full-size clay stage), that it's a singular procedure with many many steps toward the end product. The first gen Mustang is just about perfect from all angles / proportions. Spot-on. And I have no use or interest in them (too common). The tractor of this still exists, restored but privately owned.2 points

"Automobile", yet they think the 1st gen Charger was a hatchback. ? Dumb premises, dumb article.2 points

When you didn't know any better, you might have thought these were cool, or cute. I'm just talking about the basic small fastback, as opposed to the notchback. Then, when you learned how "reliable" (cough) they were with some of their engines, like the "ping up a storm" 140 c.i. 4 cylinder, you might not have liked them as much. I could hardly see Sean Connery and Jill St. John outrunning and outsmarting the authorities in Las Vegas in one of these - even if in the most potent Mach model.2 points

Haha. As soon as I saw the front grille slats on the YouTube cover, I knew it was an 1984. I'm a little partial to the mid-'70s for sentimental value and, mostly, liked that GM cars then did not have CCC (Computer Command Control), so not much at all in the way of sensors and electronics to control the engine ignition system. The downsized intermediates were actually more attractive, especially with the 1981 reskinning! Their only down sides were that their widths did not allow for the really interesting sculpted dashboards of the mid-'70s and, for those who wanted them, (stock) engines with displacements of 350 c.i. and above. That said, the most comfortable car I've ever owned was also a 1984 (don't know if I'm repeating myself) Cutlass Supreme coupe. And really comfortable because it was the Brougham model. With a measly but reliable 3.8 liter (carbureted) V6, I referred to it as "The Little Cutlass that Could." Here's a scan of a photo taken of it in NorCal. I miss this car.2 points

Too funny. I was not expecting this news. Thought that this graphic might only show Bill, which would have been "drier" in its humor.2 points

Bingo. It all comes down to it being enclosed. Put me at the top of a skyscraper. As long as it has a railing or it's glassed in. I loved visiting the CN Tower in Toronto. I've been 3 times - first in 1996. Being over 100 stories above Toronto and the lakefront is remarkable. I'm easily up there for over 1 to 2 hours. I might agree with your parents if it's a real edgy and substandard road. My parents got wigged out by CA-1. Driving south on CA-1 - a good road - between Monterey and San Simeon is not the place a driver should get overly confident. (Unless it's a chase scene from "Basic Instinct" or something.)2 points

The vagina and butt to pair of boobs ratio on this chick is like 5:1 I would have liked her more if the vagina and butt to pair of boobs ratio was more like 5:3 or 5:4 at the very least. Better if the ratio was 5:5. The caption DOES say 'real women have curves'...and boobies to me are muy importanté I like playing with boobies JUST as much as I like playing with vaginas. (and butt) ALL types of boobies I must add!1 point

Kia Stinger but that is even a little over priced and the back seat is smaller than the Camry. The Charger, but those don’t have much handling. Maybe Kia K5 GT or Sonata N Line, otherwise you are going over $50k for a sporty sedan that seats 4.1 point

the mpg drop in states like mine (no comment) have the specially formulated winter gas that is likely as least as much responsible for the mpg loss, as much as the cold weather itself is responsible. And even then, its sort of engine size dependent. My 1.5 Malibu would see up to a 25% hit with its tiny turbo, but normally was about 10-15%. Otherwise, the v6 vehicles I've had have seen about that 10-12 and when its really cold, 15%. On road trips in cold weather, not too much loss, especially once the car itself warms up from the heat by product of the ICE.1 point

So-ooooo....... dealer still has my truck. Threw check engine code the day it was delivered; needed a knock sensor. Took 2 days to get part, then while road-testing it, had a very minor fender-bender in rear quarter, behind rear tire. Nothing structural, didn’t touch the tire. Going to dealer body shop, and they offered to make first payment. I’m thinking 2 would be better.0 points

Its NOT a track car...the Charger. ITS a COMFY GT car meant to go fast for LONG rides that can handle and brake quite good for what it is. There was no need to say that Chargers dont have much handling. They do OK. Lets flip the script. All other cars are crap in acceleration as compared to the Charger. I dont want to hear anything else... All other cars do NOT measure up as good muscle cars as compared to the Charger. In other words, just accept the Charger for what it is... In V6 AWD form or any of the V8s. Point final!-1 points
