Let me just say that if they manage to give an EV Challenger 500 miles of range, I am selling some organs for it. I only need one kidney.3 points

I love french too. French girls are AWESOME when one is coming of age (wink wink) French MILFS? Depending, but Ill tell you one thing...french girls between the ages of 15 (when one is also 15...) and 30, are just hot hot hot and a boy gets to learn a helluva lot about the female body and how it works with a french girl, if you know what I mean...2 points

So; you're assuming. That assumption flies in the face of the mass movement away from BOF to unibody construction, which was done industry-wide to save on manufacturing costs. There's still going to be differences in the platform for a coupe vs. a 3-row SUV, etc. Suspension, width, length, strength... it's not like the old days when they'd bolt a 2-dr sedan / 2-dr hardtop, 4-dr sedan, 4-dr hardtop, convertible and wagon to the same frame ('platform'); OEMs don't hardly build multiple bodies on the same platform anymore (sadly). Like I alluded to; the skateboard MAY be amortized over more than one model, spreading out its costs. I get that. But the coupe body, interior, electronics (a chunk of), glass, etc would all be unique. With the super low sales of coupes, I would not be sure the skateboards amortization would support the cost of the coupe body dies, material costs, R&D, certification, etc etc vs. it's likely super low production.2 points

Or the potential for that to be an issue later on, giving some credence to the adage that "you can't have your cake and eat it, too."1 point

From what I remember we had the following dealerships that covered Pontiac: Westlund Pontiac, Buick & GMC in Seattle WA Dick Lewis Pontiac & Cadillac Olympia WA Valley Pontiac, Buick GMC which was bought out by Brotherton and moved from Auburn WA to Renton WA. Seaview Pontiac, Buick GMC Lynnwood WA No old image as they remodeled the place about a decade ago. I know there were more Pontiac dealerships than this in Washington state, but these were the ones I was aware of due to family / friends that lived in these areas.1 point

Spotted on June 11 - near home This was at the market. The girl who owned this car bought it when it was 1 or 2 years old and likes it. Has the red sport trim. I got up closer to see this MILF sticker! I'd never seen a sticker with that on it before. It said, "Man, I like frogs." I do, too. I took 3 years of French in high school.1 point

Interesting news on German auto companies and diesel gate. More fines for colluding. https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/08/business/eu-commission-fines-german-carmakers/index.html1 point

So here at my local caddy dealership which used to be a Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Cadillac dealership. Building is the same as it was since they built it back in the 50's. Now they are finally going to remodel into a 21st century luxury dealership. A great assortment of older auto's on the lot either employee owned , in for service or for sale. Employee owned In for service Used for sale New 2021 for sale. Wow, only 3 new Escalade, 4 new cars and 2 new cuvs on the lot, about 50 or so used and the used are selling at new prices. Crazy, they just sold a 2yr old used Toyota Rav 4 XLE hybrid for 52K, sold new T $49k. I had seen the stories, but now is not the time to buy an auto. Crazy used prices due to the chip shortage. Yup, here killing time as I await my oil change.1 point

It's tough to know when GM's troubles began. I think that the push to make Americans think that driving an American vehicle was uncool was a big part of it. Californians began abandoning domestic vehicles decades ago, and at a very quick rate. Our family still kept buying them, though, and my parents were foreigners. Yes, foreigners! However, in terms of quality and reliability, GM did begin to falter toward the end of the '70s and beginning of the '80s. Early versions of computerized emission control systems such as CCC (Computer Command Control) required repairs and replacements of sensors much more so than current versions, where you don't see "check engine" indicators as often. As for the "Poncho" up above, the ghetto wheels have to go. Put the Pontiac ones back on. Then you've got one stellar vehicle. They made my favorite convertibles within the GM fold.1 point

I will have a story today covering the Stellantis EV day release, some great info, but I have to say after watching this video, I am very excited for An American eMuscle Dodge Charger and Challenger. AWD seems to be clear in this screen capture of the video. The Germans should be scared as the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE is coming with POWER to Spare!1 point

2 thoughts 1. I want to poo poo on Tampa Bay's parade. But I simply cannot do that. 2 in a row! Back2Back! Good on the Lightning! AWESOME PERFORMANCE...AGAIN! Except 18 million over the cap will forever remain in my thoughts and I will ALWAYS place an asterisk on this Stanley Cup victory even if nobody else might not... 2. I wonder why one becomes a TV evangelist and how could I become one... Seems to be like a fun career! Lucrative too!1 point

Ferrari or Lamborghini might want to challenge you on that statement. EDIT: I just realized you said sedan. Sorry! My bad! Yup...Tesla sedans burn faster than any other sedans. Maybe when/if the roadster 2.0 comes out to play, then Tesla could own the 2 door sports car fastest burning record as well stripping it away from the Italians.1 point

Its been a long time since an interesting car coming through my drive-thru. But today I served a gentleman in his 60s driving an air cooled Porsche 911. Brown coupe from the early 1970s I assume. Light tan interior. I assume that it was from the 1970s because the seat fabric had a weird pattern to them. Fuchs wheels. I didnt ask him about his car. I did say to him that I liked his 911. He looked like he could be a doctor so I asked him if he was. He said close, dentist. So...a dentist with a brown 1970s Porsche 911 coupe came by to have a couple of hot dogs today. He made my day.1 point

I like the photos of the woodworking you posted, but I especially like this! ^ This map is pretty much spot on. Which makes me hate people who b!tch about stereotyping all the more. Where it says "farms" in the middle, it should also say "looks like Kansas." Driving up and down the Central Valley can be so flat and treeless that it reminds me of I-70 smack in the middle of the country. Kevin McCarthy may very well be the ONLY alum of Cal State Bakersfield that people can name. Where it says "palm trees" near Palm Springs, also add "heaven's waiting room." Right above "wine," add "meth" again ... to describe Lake County, right above Napa County, where the social ills barometer runs very high and has law enforcement and social services agencies spread thin. In and around Sacramento, add "bureaucrats" - many of them - who are paid too much for not enough work and sticking to their smoke breaks. To "sea otters," add "great white sharks" ... that snack on them and occasionally try to do the same with a surfer or two. - - - - - I love these sorts of maps. There was one for the city of Vancouver (Canada) that stereotyped all its neighborhoods and was also funny and spot on.1 point

My cousin (the hoarder) picked up an ‘03 mercedes 2-dr, paid $1000. I again laugh as I got a ride in it; just as much cheap plastics and plood as anything from the era. This one is beat to shit; suspension banging and crashing, radio hammering like a woodpecker, trans slipping, large swathes of hand spray-painting on the body… but the A/C works! ? ?1 point

I needed some cleaning products for my automobiles. Both cars hadnt been cleaned on the inside for quite some time now... I have 3 consecutive days off starting today so I thought Id do some car cleaning. I thought I had some left over but nope, so before heading to work yesterday, I bought some cleaning products. And this is what I saw in the Canadian Tire parking lot. My dad's 1979 Impala seemed to have had the same colour... Say what you will about 1970s cars from GM. Diss, bitch and complain and say that GM's troubles began in the 1970s. I, for one though, LOVE many many GM products from this era. This Poncho right here...long, low and sleek. Beautiful convertible. Miles better looking and interesting than the shyte cars that you could see in the background...1 point

• White Mach-E zipping thru lanes like a typical BMW driver. Looks good tho. • rusted/tired red early '70s Maverick, moldering in the weeds next to a rural back road. • Early '50s GMC pickup project, very good sheet metal • repainted 'Petty Blue' '71-72 Charger, covered headlights, cosmetically clean, parked. • '65 LeMans convertible, some significant patches of body rot, Iris Mist, project1 point

Coupes won’t make money though, unless it has Porsche 911 pricing scheme. If the Zephyr works really well then maybe and that’s a big maybe. I think Zypher will go about as well as Continental did. Also the Mustang was the worst selling Ford last quarter not counting discontinued stuff like Fusion or Focus. Coupes are a hard business unless you have global footprint for volume and/or share the cost like Supra and Z4.-1 points
