    Honda USA CEO Vowing To Make Crosstour Successful

    Tetsuo Iwamura, President and CEO of American Honda, told Autoblog that he is disappointed with the current sales of the Crosstour.

    "In the case of the Crosstour, I'm really disappointed because that's a nice car, [with] very beautiful styling, and it gives very good driving performance as well as packaging. But yet, we went a bit too far."

    Since being introduced back in 2009 as a 2010 model, the Crosstour has been struggling in sales. So far in 2011, Honda has only moved 16,679 Crosstours - a 36% drop compared to 2010 when Honda sold 25,927 Crosstours.

    Iwamaura said Honda is actually "quite satisfied" with sales of most of its vehicle lines (i.e. Accord, Civic, CR-V), maintaining that he sees nothing within Honda that has prevented the company from generating new hit models. Iwamaura also said the company will continue development of its niche players.

    "With further refinement of styling and performance, it will be a very good success, a leading model," Iwamaura said.

    I'm sure the CEO of AMC was thinking the same thing about the Eagle GT back in 1983

    I doubt Tippett thought that, as Eagle lost two models in '83... the coupe and the kammback... and remaining Eagle sales were already falling hard. Besides, at that point, the French were likely using Tippett as a puppet.

    AMC always knew they had their back to the wall. Please don't compare them to a bunch of arrogant folks trying to sell ice to Eskimos.

      I would counter that I would feel less safe in a state with open carry and no regulation like Florida and Texas. Not everyone has the skill or can properly handle the weapons they carry. The year I lived in Texas, I came across way too many situations where the gun owner actually ended up making things worse as common sense is not so common. Without clear training, regulations on how and what you can carry, someone with a machine gun might just get road rage and go off firing causing many problems. @A Horse With No Name Great trip pictures, love the trip, looks like it was fun. It dawned on me that I am surprised the MAGA have not attacked the arts yet as the soft nudity is immense and that would offend their bible thumping attitude one would think.

      You wanna have Chinese wages in the US too?  One of my clients outsources their helpdesk to the Philippines. I've been involved in the hiring process and what they're paying the outsourcing company (who takes a cut) for a month salary is half what someone would make working in the US at federal minimum wage. I'm sure China is similar.

US air travelers are experiencing a second day of flight delays and cancellations, as the government shutdown causes a worsening shortage of air traffic controllers. On Tuesday evening, the flight delays hit even more airports, with the cities of Nashville, Dallas, Chicago and Newark especially affected. On Monday, air traffic control at the Hollywood Burbank Airport in California was unmanned for nearly six hours and remotely managed due to staffing shortages. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said some air traffic controllers are calling in sick as the shutdown, now in its seventh day, adds stress on workers. He estimated that staffing has at times dropped to 50% in some areas.
