The millions of 3 ton light duty pickups on the roads have done far more road damage than a few electric cars will, I think... In time, as the electric auto grow, they will do far more damage than the light duty trucks. .... based on.... what? The short term is the large amount of Green House gas produced for each battery pack built. Longer term is the added weight as more and more auto's get built, that added weight will mount up and cause more wear and tear on the roads. Accidents will I think release more toxins and cause more delays due to the special mixture of the battery packs and the special cleanup equipment. I believeV

G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
Sweet Video Ocnblu Thanks for posting. -
My comment wasn't a "low blow". I was guessing that he got him some powah!! GMCGUY74 I never took your comments as a low blow, I was more thinking the trade it in for the 4th gen Camaro or Accord as a low blow.

GMC News: Revealed! The 2014 GMC Sierra Denali
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
I love this truck, while for most I can see having the 5.3L V8, I think Denali should be still top of the line with the bigger v8. Real world numbers seem to show the 6.2L gets the same mileage as the 5.3L so not really sure why they feel the need for the old 5.3L V8. -

I think we could come up with some other nice Niche Packages Black out edition would be nice. All black Chrome, etc. -

Agreed, having a 4.5 to 4.9 L Baby Duramax Diesel would rock in the Half ton trucks and half ton and three quarter ton SUV's.

Seems all the Passat TDI's I find in the Seattle area start from $26,000 and top out at $33,000 for a 1 year old low mileage model. I saw the TDI's Premium edition running higher. They seem to be pretty pricey auto's for a used auto compared to what you can get in other models from other brands.

Sounds Good as this would be a more real world usable car. Question I have is how much faster will the roads wear down and get nasty due to the increase in weight? Everything I read is that truck drivers should pay more since their trucks weight causes them to break down faster.

I agree with Drew on the whole Honda thing!

That could be a year 2 add on if interest is truly there. I wonder how much is left once VW supplies it.

I would agree with you that Chevy and GMC both need their up level versions. GMC Needs to have a modern day small Canyon Syclone and use the Modern day Twin Turbo V6. Then you can have a Twin Turbo V8 for the full size truck. GMC should have the Sierra Grizzly to compete against the Ford Raptor. Use the LS9 engine and a Kick ass Baja off road suspension with BF Goodrich AT tires. 36" diameter. Chevy could have their version also called the Silverado Banshee or Silverado Cougar.

Pictures are a no show. Bummer.

I agree with Drew, it looks like a wrap put on a car and will probably change as his taste of the moment change.

Interesting info you add Drew. Glad to hear there is more to this company. It does make me rethink the deal. Would be worthwhile then for Lutz to pick it up cheap and keep it an American brand.

Very solid review grammar issues aside. Still have to shake my head at a car that has plenty of HP and weak Torque. We all know Torque gets today's heavy modern auto's moving. When will they properly build an engine with Torque equal to or greater than HP.

Some great deals on the last model year DTS. Cushy soft ride for you or go for a Buick.

This ugly van needs some major work and there are far better options out there.
