  1. Cobbled Crap, he must have been over paid to have money to waste on this vision. WOW not a good thing unless you need an engine. Might be worth the $3000 they are asking from a parts stand point.
  2. New Ford C-Max Hybrid in Candy Blue. Very cool color.
  3. That sounds like a true bend over and take it like a man statement! I vote the 4-6-8 V8 as one of the worst engines ever right up with the lousy Diesel converted V8's GM built also.
  4. I agree with Drew, I drove both a FWD and AWD model and I was really surprised. This is not your Grandfathers FWD. The FWD is really well controlled and the AWD is amazingly well balanced. I would say that many could not tell the difference between the AWD XTS and an Audi.
  5. Interesting = EXCITEMENT! Best news I have heard yet for Caddy. Focus on quality high profit auto's that drive people to want to own a Caddy.
  6. Wrong product, they are too late for this limited market segment. They need to update and revitalize their current products to bring excitement back into it.
  7. Clearly the capitain is asleep at the wheel for steering Acura. They need new blood for cleaning up this house and getting it invigerated.
  8. Wont Happen! The CEO is clearly drinking the wrong punch. Start with better cars, not boring equal stuff to Toyota. I agree with all that has been posted here so far, but they have to wake up to the fact that they do not have a desirable product line to the youth and with debt still an issue for Americans, they need to look at bringing in quality products that drive EXCITEMENT, not BORING as their current product line does.
  9. I found that this engine under the Nissan NV200 is rated at 48.6mpg. They also have a diesel version that is rated at 53.3mpg. Chevy should have both engines at launch in addition to the CNG version which is also rated at 48.6 mpg as this could really turn into an cash cow for them as fleets move to fuel efficient service/work mini vans.
  10. Was talking with a few guys who are on the GM Fleet sales and host the GM Fleet linkedin group and they say a CNG version is also being considered since this van has CNG in Europe. This would meet the needs of cities that are requiring taxi's and inner city deliveries to be on a green source of energy. I see big potential here for this.
  11. Did Lambo's 50th birthday spawn a crisises that could only be answered by the crazest of cars? Read the review and sound off on your thoughts of this super super car. Story http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/lamborghini-egoista-one-off-crashes-lambo-50th-birthday-183859747.html Gallery http://autos.yahoo.com/photos/lamborghini-egoista-slideshow/ Enjoy,
  12. Excellent write up, I do wonder if the bluetooth connectivity is more an issue with older phone technology rather than just a delay.
  13. Cars truly have gone to a lesser pedistal as the flexibility of CUV's meets the more active life style or at least what people want other to think they live.
  14. No one should really be surprised by this as they failed in the US before and their cars are not that great. They have a limited market appeal and Fiat does not really seem dedicated to a global business. Ton's of Fiats sit on the dealership lots and few move. Fiat dealer which is part of a Dodge, Chrylser and jeep franchise in the greater Seattle area allows the folks to cross sale you anything. You rarely find sales people in the show room for the Fiats as they just have limited appeal in a suburban area.
  15. I agree that auto makers need to stick to real world numbers. more people drive 5-10 over than under. Such is the stupidity of the politicians.
  16. Exactly, clearly they had no sense in building auto's let alone taking tax dollars if they were not going to build auto's that actually had some attraction.
  17. Wrong Move, This is a BIG BIG MISTAKE for GM. Sorry but Chevy is entry to medium level, then you go GMC to have medium level to near luxury and then Caddy. Having a luxury level will just cause confusion and start to drain R&D dollars away from the proper approach to marketing with where all these brands compete. GM Wake up to History, Chevy does not Need This. Your GMC division is the luxury level with Denali to Compete against Fords Platinum level and Dodge. Wrong move I think.
  18. that would be a 3.1L v4... for a 'truck' engine, sure.... but a slant inline would be better, and dwight has proposed something like that, right? i do think a ~200 hp 4 cyl CIB engine would be interesting for a modern s-10 a ~4.7L v6.. lets see how the 4.3L LT derived truck engine is first. My thinking on this is due to the wonderful V4 engine that Katech made based on the Corvette V8 engine and that Motus Uses for their new American Made motorcycle. http://www.katechengines.com/engineering/katech-v4/ Sweet options for the 3 V4 engines available. Base is 165hp, then 220hp and top end model is a v4 with 346hp.Spome sweet crate motors.
  19. Seems that there could be far more variations on this engine with amazing gains and like Riviera states, I wonder why they do not do a v6 or even a v4 off this engine. We know you have build a quality V4 engine with over 300HP 300lbs Torque with no Turbo, I would think this would be more efficient than the weak version we have of 4 bangers with turbos.
  20. I will agree with your facts you have stated, though with 4th generation carbon fiber tanks, it seems we are getting light tanks with compressed gas and getting the power out of the source. LNG, Liquid Natural Gas has potential also. No matter what form of fuel, I think there are benefits to both DI and TBI that we can use. I also think that Drew has a valid point that we need to be looking at higher compression engines to go with alternative fuels. Interesting to see the fuels listed as such as I have always seen it as Gallon equal which gives vastly different numbers.
  21. Hang in there my friend, Life will get better. I know things seem bleak at times, but it always looks like that before a door of sunshine opens up.
  22. Yet not fleet whoring a car out helps to keep up the residual value. Much better for private owners looking to resale.
