Sorry Cubical, I have to down vote this. Even when I was 12 I was already 6' tall and my sisters were almost as tall as I even being older. Many people do not want a minivan or full size van to carry adults. Adult carrying is VERY IMPORTANT and I think many are to focused just on themselves the driver when you also need to think about others you carry. This is not a corner case but a much more common use case. I see it daily coworkers cramming into tiny cars, corpool in cars or SUVs and everyone is cramped it looks like. More common than many realize.

ALWAYS RELEVANT!!! The biggest missed place in ALL AUTO REVIEWS is to clearly talk about how people sitting in the front will affect those sitting in the back. There is NEVER a perfect front seat sitting and back seat sitting that fits a perfect 4 or 5 adult placement. This is the LIE that the auto industry has not owned up to. You and your coworkers decide to go out to lunch and your the one who offered to drive. You and one coworker are US average size of 5'8" another is 5'6" tall but very large size and the other is 6'2" tall and you drive a Camry. Who sits where and why. IMHO, ALL Auto Reviews should cover sizing and how it fits for the AVERAGE American but also if you have Large size people or tall people or even very short. Just like many other areas in life that people either try to fit everyone into or ignor it totally, the interior space of sizing for a single person is a lie when you will always have a variety of sized people. They should clearly state a 4 adult person space seating in every car or SUV on how people will fit. Fine if 5'8" tall is the standard they want, but then clearly state how much head room, hip room, leg room, etc. is left or if there is not enough. We have discussed many times on how tight the compact to mid size 4 door sedan market is and how even when multiple OEMs state the same or near same seat size, one fits more comfy than another. The reviews are heavily biased on just the driver and not taking into account passengers. I could go on but I hope you get my point.

Ouch crazy prices are bad for all, but then it is a capitalist society with what ever the market will bare. -
OUCH Ford is scaring people today with their $11 billion restructure plan and lay offs. @A Horse With No Name Seems the stock is down today to 2009 pricing. Recession level based on what this story is saying. https://jalopnik.com/fords-layoff-plan-is-making-a-ton-of-people-nervous-re-1829751888 https://corporate.ford.com/homepage.html Weird that no official info is on their web site.

@William Maley How is the interior space for big people? I grew up with my parents having a 626, my moms car and later my oldest sister got a Mazda 6 in 2007 which if I was in the front no one could sit behind me. So how is the interior space and rear headroom with that coupe sedan design?

An SUV to make ya go H'mmmmm ? Interesting how they got this from that above.

Yesterday was a weird day, driving on the freeway and no time to snap a pic but saw an AMC Javlin kind like this one off the web. Have to say I kinda like the body design. Maybe just a nice big change form the over abundance of the mustang and camaro everywhere I look. Also as I was exiting I saw an old metro van like this: Wife asked what it was as she had not seen anything like it before. Weird day with old iron that you rarely see anymore.

Bummer, sorry it did work but the web site seems to kill their older pages.

Disagree, their Debt load is so big, I suspect that the next recession will cause them to finally have to go bankrupt to unload their excessive legacy debt and pension obligations.

Thank you, that is cool!

China Leads the market in EV sales and now they have decided they cannot allow anyone to lead in self driving autos. pony.ai is an autonomous technology startup that is raising funds to push science fiction to reality not just in China but around the world. Recently they just raised $102 million in funding to expand their testing. They currently are a Level 4 autonomous vehicle startup with the HQ in Beijing and remote offices in Fremont California and Guangshou, China. This company founded in 2016 by Tiancheng Lou who worked previously at Baidu an AI company and James Peng a programmer who was part of Googles autonomous program started the company to build systems that could work on any auto. The focus is a complete software stack that works both internally in the auto and externally taking into account action of what is going on around the perimeter of the auto, what is being done inside the auto and what humans may try to do to the auto. The goal is a software solution that is fully independent that can be sold to any auto company. With a quality management team / founders, young staff of graduates and their A and B funding secured, the company is now worth $1 billion dollars without selling a single software solution yet. GAC Group (Guangshou Automotive Group Co) has signed a strategic agreement with pony.ai in February 2018 to cover all aspects of self driving for their product line of auto's. Currently they have a public course that the AI auto's are available for use by the publik in Nansha, Guangzhou and covers a total of 2.8km route. While China currently lags behind the US in AI autonomous driving, no one should ignore them as China is the new Silicon Valley hotbed for tech startups. From software, motors, to battery tech, the Chinese government is helping companies to become global players and take over the markets due to their market protectionism. This does bring up big questions around protecting their market at the cost of competition from the US, Europe or other Asian countries. Japan and Korea have decided to open AI development centers with partners in China to keep from getting blocked out. Does this mean that GM's ownership and work in San Francisco that Honda just bought a piece of could be in jeopardy of getting into the Chinese market? EV Obsession Story

Thank you OK, you have that stupid rubber piece below, but probably helps with airflow. hood is a bit taller, but windshield looks smaller. Over all top of the trucks look the same. Honestly, without some sort of measuring tool, I doubt anyone would ever really know there is a change in the drag coefficient. Thank you again for posting, this is great. -
I do like Workhorse electric van. Focus is on commercial use at this time. UPS, FedEx and the USPS are all using it in tests for residential delivery work. 100 miles under freight load. This would be nice for both inner city and residential delivery where range is right in the 80 miles per day use. Quiet

I like this, different than all the other trucks out there. Needs some tweaking but I like it. I like the interior and the fact that this is made with a Carbon Fiber frame and was built to give 186 miles in the cold of northern Canada and be used off road shows this was for more than just normal road use. They sure took a page from Tesla with the large center display. Yet this was also built in partnership with the University of Toronto. So I am thinking more a project study than actual production when it was shown off last year. Original published story: https://cleantechnica.com/2017/06/02/havelaar-canada-unveils-electric-truck-called-bison/ Havelaar is quiet on their long range plans for this truck. http://www.havelaarcanada.com/bison/ Is it worse than the Workhores W15 that is going into production and they have numerous reservations for? This is a pickup with EV range and a built in generator for even longer driving. 80 miles pure electric up to 80MPH and the generator kicks in for a total of 310 miles. https://workhorse.com/pickup/ You might not like the style or power train, but at least these companies are offering diversity of truck style and options. OEMs seem to be stuck in a rut.
