  1. Let me correct that for you, a very small select group of people like mini. The majority of Americans want something much bigger.
  2. Or it could be due to the TTV6 over a V8 of the old Navigator. Last generation Navigator had a 8200 or 9000 lb towing capacity depending on standard or extended length. So this is a big drop in Towing compared to last generation so I think you are correct that they are playing it safe on the TTV6 for now.
  3. You nailed it on the Head, if you are wanting Luxury with Towing capabilities proven over millions of miles. The Escalade or Navigator is your SUV. I would NOT trust the GLS to tow up and over a pass or do really any heavy towing. The focus as @smk4565 has pointed out is driving dynamics. GLS is 7500 lbs towing Escalade is 8300 lbs towing Navigator is 6200 lbs towing I suspect the Navigator is under rated as we all know the underside is a Ford Truck. I honestly am surprised by the under rated towing of the Lincoln.
  4. Hyundai has seriously mis-stepped for the global markets that have changed and want a different lineup than what they offer. It will be interesting to see how fast they can turn things around.
  5. You show your ignorance with this section. The Escalade holds it's own, it does handle off road with no problems. I have taken in places most would never consider and still got back to paved city streets. .1 second is not noticeable by everyone. If the GLS is so superior it would outsell the Escalade. Yet this body on frame true full size SUV does hold its own and surpasses in that category you always point at. Sales!
  6. If you look at the additional pictures on the story, you see the actual Cadillac logo on the back side and some sort of sticker label on the side that shows it could be a prototype, but still it is an actual fob based on the additional pictures on the Story from Jalopnik. So I would have to say no photoshop. Here is the BOLT Fob. I can see a fancy version of this above for what ever auto they have it on next.
  7. WOW I am actually not surprised by how many Crowns Toyota Sells that they did not have this on sale sooner. Should do well even in a tiny little country like Japan. Status is everything there.
  8. What does everyone make of this photo? Jalopnik story According to Jalopnik, an anonymous tipster emailed in photo's of a key fob and clearly proved it is from Cadillac by flipping the fob over to show the Cadillac logo on the back. The interesting thing is that the new leader of Cadillac has been busy rolling back all of the former leaders car focused stuff and refocusing on CUVs. Yet when asked about a new Halo auto and if the mid-engine corvette could be used as a base, the response was we will have something much more interesting and special for Cadillac. Now with that said, we get pictures of this fob which would show a frunk and trunk plus a retractable roof. Is it possible that Cadillac could go AWD EV Halo on us? What do you all think is going on here? Is it the fob to an EV Halo car, Hybrid Halo car, Mid-Engine ICE Halo?
  9. I just do not get paying millions to tear it down and rebuild. Some just have way too much money.
  10. That rocks! I wish I could find something like that here in Washington. I love the layout, the land, the whole thing is just awesome! Enough space for a decent workshop!
  11. COG = I get the point your making, but my comment is what I feel spot on for the bug history that to me never really did it and I feel that same passion from that era continues today at that company. Maybe I would feel different if after WWII they had closed VW and required it to start up as another auto company name. My issue, point made and I understand what you are saying my friend. I get what your saying in regards to Ford. They had some amazing products, but the mass market versions of cars for the most point did underwhelm.
  12. I honestly have not figured out what is so great about VW products. German heritage but clearly my American self just does not like the bland blah looks, feel, driving dynamics of the Nazi cars.
  13. Sequal time as to why the Audi R8 was totalled. Seems a Frame flaw is to blame.
  14. Sounds like mergers and buyouts to bring Mini into BMW as a store within a store.
  15. I have to agree, for the first time ever that does look nice. Still take a GMC over this, but for once the 2019 Chevy does look nice in this package. Playing with the configurator, this also looks good to me.
  16. Quality of product and actual delivery of new product would be nice. 2013 was 5 years ago and the industry has moved on. Right now this is a MEH to me.
  17. Cadillac is so Rockin it!
  18. Only in Japan would you find Starbucks babes.
  19. Yes they could, but will the 1% club buy? Right now, so many models are barely selling 100 units a month, I doubt the German companies can continue to spend money like this especially if all the indicators are correct and a global recession is coming.
  20. I go by e-clat, sound nice for an electric bike. Would like to test one for a ride. Be interesting to see how fast you can go.
  21. I submitted the following for GM's new eBike naming contest. Hey I would be happy with a $1,000, but if I win $10,000 that would be awesome. éclat
  22. You totally read my mind. Does anyone Rich care about a high end convertible in the age of CUVs powered by ICE, Hybrid, EV power train. I wonder if it will even hit 100 sales a month. I expect the first month they will report a few hundred as the dealers buy 1 or 2 to have on the lot, but I really doubt it will sell much.
  23. Shocking, 31 reads of the story, no posts and after almost 22hrs, not a single sarcastic remark or down vote from @ocnblu I think he must be slipping! @A Horse With No Name @Robert Hall What do you guys think?
  24. It was a funny reply, I got it!
  25. I do think that their saving grace would come in the form of their new CUV/SUV lineup. If they can get it out fast enough to capitalize on the CUV craze before our next recession hits.
