  1. Hopefully Potus 45 will listen for once to the smarter people on his economic team. Tariffs are a bad idea.
  2. Your saying these cars are reported lost in the california fires? ?
  3. Always loved the look of the Aston cars, so happy they are doing an SUV. Very cool!
  4. That is very interesting, If the tariff's are that high would that not make this a $18,000 to $26,000 vehicle unless they build an assembly plant here. I will say if they take a page from Hyundai for 10yr / 100,000 mile warranty and go with a set price model like Saturn, they will find buyers here as many hate the negotiation portion of auto buying. The negotiation part is one of the reasons I think Costco auto buying process is so successful. Set pricing that allows dealerships to present an auto for sale and you accept it or not. Very simple, no stress buying.
  5. Easy, if we can send thousands of troops to the border, we can send thousands to help build containment around these fires. The national Guard and our military should be sent in as they do have training that can assist with building the fire lines that can help contain and put out these nature started fires.
  6. My Week has been this every minute awake or asleep!
  7. Interesting so the Kia Soul EV is still only an appliance (oops) compliance auto for markets where they have to sell an EV in order to sell their ICE auto's. Hmmmmm ? not really sure if that is a smart move today with so many other companies coming out with EVs.
  8. I tend to agree with what he says, we have first gen solid state batteries, but to make them in the density and quantity needed is a bit out. I expect most if not all EVs that come out between now and 2024 will be Lithium Ion and then by 2024 we will see some of the top line models have the solid state and by 2030, we will see solid state push into pretty much all autolines for EV use. The benefits of Solid state batteries will I think help OEMs to push to move to them sooner rather than later.
  9. GM's approach is an interesting one and one that is making me rethink if I leave them for some other brand. Be very interesting to see what happens with their large EV roll out.
  10. Sad that Japan and Europe get the updated PHEV and we have the old one. ? You would think if they are going to update the auto, then do it globally and send the new one here too, not release as new the old one that is behind the one across the pond. ?
  11. R.I.P. to those who have lost their lives. The lack of Federal response to the fires is inexcusable. Amazing pictures of the wildfires that started on Federal land and are burning down California. One picture I thought was sad but cool is some person's McMansion is burning down, but the fire fighters knew what to save! Ford GT350 at a home in Malibu. Car Dealership in Paradise from the Camp Fire was a total loss as the town was burnt off the map. Some old cars lost forever
  12. I will say that the 1hr 11 second preprep of the battery pack for Ludicrous mode is an interesting point that no one else has ever brought up and I found buried on Tesla web site. Interesting, it would be cool to see the runs again if they did not do the battery optimization prep.
  13. Your just showing how Jealous you are of people with fun toys. All 4 SUVs are cool, but Tesla built the fastest one!
  14. Yet the Tesla X spanked those overpriced SUVs.
  15. Wonder if we could get an Eliminator version? ? I loved the original Jeep Pickup Eliminator. Gladiator Eliminator edition with a TTV6
  16. Bet FWD/AWD Plugin hybrid is what I think it will be.
  17. Believe it when it is actually on the dealership lot!
  18. DAMN, Just realized this past weekend was the Seattle International auto show. I drove by as they were winding down the final day and they had 6 Ford Rangers there for test driving, 3 jag iPace and 3 Mercedes-benz MQC. I am so pissed that I missed this year. Where the hell was the advertising.. bummer
  19. True, not from the OEM, that part is cool. Road rally is a big deal around here, amazing how big with Porsche and Miata owners.
  20. Cool that they did it, but Meh as far as interest goes from me. I see plenty of cars like this around washington from various vendors.
  21. Red Robin for lunch and this beauty was parked right there for me to check out. Needs a bit of TLC but very solid and cool.
  22. Not as impressed as I thought I would be for a car with this power.
  23. This is a very cool video drag race of the super powered SUVs and it is way too funny! WOW, G-Wagen G63 wallows like a Hippo!
  24. Nissan Press Release Nissan Frontier Sentinel Concept Photos Powered by a 2.3 liter twin turbo diesel - 190 hp Heavy Duty GT Radial 285/75 R16 Twin Nissan Leaf Battery packs - Enough Power to power an average size American home for 24hrs. Equipped for deep jungle support - Gloves, lanterns, helmets, ropes, axes, hooks, toolbox, and more. Drone take-off and landing from the top compartment cover. Multiple electrical outlets on the both sides and back of the truck allowing support for a wide range of appliances in various power types. Designed for heavy high water levels with snorkel and above windshield alert system. SÃO PAULO – Nissan today unveiled Frontier Sentinel, a concept pickup truck designed by Nissan Brazil's styling studio, at the 2018 São Paulo Motor Show. The concept is designed for rescue missions in all types of Brazilian terrain. Frontier Sentinel integrates a host of innovative features, including two battery packs from the Nissan LEAF to deliver auxiliary power. The cargo bed has been adjusted to accommodate the battery packs and also features a set of drawers to store gloves, flashlights, helmets, ropes, axes, toolboxes and other equipment. The top part of the cargo bed has a deployable platform from which a drone can take off and land. A strengthened roll bar stretches across the sides of the cargo bed, which features more space to store rescue equipment and two power outlets. The Brazilian hyacinth macaw, a parrot native to central and eastern South America, served as inspiration for the color: Thunder-Blue. Frontier Sentinel also stands out for its snorkel, which lets it navigate deep-water crossings, and a special lighting system on top of the windshield. Inside, the truck has an Electric-Yellow dashboard and central console. Inspired by electric circuits, it's the same shade of yellow as on the seat trim and stitches. Read more about the Nissan Frontier Sentinel on the Brazil newsroom here (in Portuguese.)
  25. Agreed, it is an awesome bike that I can so see being popular not just on rural day trips but in the inner city. Talk about easy to get around with no smell.
