Really you have to ask why I find his post funny pointed at you who likes to live in the past. Comical, that is for sure. Yet we still love ya too! ? Poor Cadillac, that baby needs a blanket.

Cadillac News: The Move to Electric Marks Cadillac's Last Stand
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
Many of those long memories people you state are also out of touch with moving forward into the future and will fall behind in skill set and ability to work as the workforce moves forward and they are left behind. The fact is Humans can NEVER STOP LEARNING, Never Stop Changing and NEVER Stop embracing future change. Stagnate is Death, nothing wrong with having a hobby of learning the past to make sure mistakes are not repeated in the future, but the past is not the place to live. Everything has a life expectancy and once must move forward in life. Everything wears out, everything is replaced and changes. There is a reason really old things have a smell of death about it. -

Cadillac News: The Move to Electric Marks Cadillac's Last Stand

Blinded by the PAST, you fail to see the future and survive. Companies that live in the past die. Many great companies in the US did that, GM is looking to the future to survive. FCA, will die as will any company that tries to stick to the past. Rest in Peace! -
I have to say I really like this SNOW BUNNY! It does have some stance for Car lovers.

LOL, I would too if I was in NJ, Last time when I worked for a company in Princeton, an engineer had a simple 2 story house of 2000 sq ft and was paying according to him $12,000 a year in taxes and this was in 2011. I have that same size house here in Washington and pay only $4000 in 2018. I can only imagine what the taxes are now 8 years later.

Cracking up laughing on how a rich Dubai Driver who imported his Lamborghini legally for a road trip through the US and Canada schools an idiot Oregon state Patrolman.

I noticed that for the most part, that while Tesla puts a HP figure on their base home screen for their auto's, when you look at the specification page everything is metric. I also noticed that Atlis and Rivian is doing this. I wonder if Cadillac will take the risk of going metric rather than sticking with the old standard system? ? -
Cadillac News: The Move to Electric Marks Cadillac's Last Stand

Best part about this is that I believe many of the Cadillac's I have posted above would slip through the air with minimal resistance and be a silent stealthy luxury ride with tight handling that I would be proud to own. Those styles prove we do not need an ugly auto like Tesla. Tesla has amazing technology, but their style is anything but pleasing to me. -

Nissan has always had some interesting concepts. Could be an interesting EV. Reminds me of a GMC Concept truck that the name is escaping me at the time. -

Then in that case lets put in the proper eye candy of what an AWESOME EV lineup could look like. Urban Commuter So many awesome EV possibilities! -
CT5 V EV might just be so much faster than the ICE V can ever be if Cadillac executes properly.

Probably old Raiders fan that fears not being seen. Probably drives on the freeway with their hazard lights on thinking it makes them safer. Free Man? ? College bills, coming home to visit and asking for more. You my friend are never free, Kids are for life! We just get the freedom to finally walk around the house dressed or not however we want as no one is around to be offended by it. Live Naked and Free we say on the west coast! Just the stench of Horse Manure!

Do not forget all the shark attacks in Florida and their massive sink holes since the aqueducts are devoid of water so everything is just crumbling into the sea.

I REALLY HOPE that they shock everyone with a Escalade EV. They will have me putting money down if they do. @A Horse With No Name Are these car pictures for the Random thread or to make a point here on electrics? ? -
Nissan News: Nissan Cutting 700 Jobs At Their Canton Plant
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Nissan
This makes total sense based on the global slow down in buying but is the news upset that Nissan is cutting jobs compared to GM, Ford or Tesla? I stated in another thread that so many who are upset at GM better get used to these announcements as everyone else will be cutting too. This is just normal business sense to adjust for decrease in sales to control costs and keep profits up. -
Yet where is the Hate and ROAR in the News about Fords massive layoffs. Seems there has been a bit of unfair attack in the press and from the white house. Like you again not taking sides, but pointing out there does seem to be a bit of a lopsided attack on GM versus the others.

Good Questions and I myself have never heard of the term "naked bike". @Drew Dowdell Do you know more about a "naked bike" versus a speed bike? Since all we have is the front image so far of this new electric bike, I have no idea of the style yet. If the Lightning Strike is a single rider bike like the Livewire bike, then I think Harley does have a problem as people will cross shop the two. I honestly think based on the info they have supplied that it is another sports bike like the Livewire. To quote them: Lightning is announcing the upcoming launch of the all-new Lightning Strike – the world’s first premium mass-market electric motorcycle. Does not sound to me as if it is going to be another crouch rocket speed bike.

I totally get what you are saying and used to think the same way, always drove to my job and enjoyed my freedom machine. Yet when I got my first ever tech job in Seattle, I quickly learned community transit was my friend. Driving from my house to work is 18 miles one way. In an auto by myself takes 1 to 1 1/2 hrs, then $45 a day to park, plus the gas, insurance, etc. Today, I save thousands a year on Insurance and drive 1 mile to the local Park n Ride so I qualify for low mileage driving, yet still enjoy my road trips and my Escalade has gone from high miles to low miles since the change as I only put on about 4 to 6 thousand miles a year. The company I work for pays for my Mass Transit pass or what we call an Orca card here which is good for any bus, lite rail or Amtrak train. I have zero stress on my commute which takes all of 30 min from the north end into Seattle where I get off and walk 4 blocks to work. I do not have to pay for parking and my gas bill has dropped big time. I OWN MY OWN AUTO's. I enjoy them and drive when ever I want, but I save a ton on gas, maintenance and wear n tear on the auto. Stress free to and from work, fast commute compared to most others and total flexible schedule as buses come every 15 min. I personally am not a fan of Uber or Lyft, small tight auto's and honestly just as rude as normal taxis. Take the bus or for when I travel just grab a regular cab from the airport thankfully, this is at most just twice a year for our huge tradeshow in vegas now. I have the freedom to go where I want, when I want with my auto, yet I save thousands by using mass transit to get to and from work. Has not changed me seeing doctors or running errands, just saves me money.

Trouble for Harley Davidson Livewire complements of Lightning Motorcycles While all the world was focused on the Detroit auto show this week, a small start up in San Carlos California announced their second motorcycle. In 2009 Lightning Motorcycles was founded to bring a true electric super-bike to the world. This bike was the LS-218 and has racked up numerous racetrack wins and set land speed records. The LS-218 has a governed top speed of 218 MPH, 10,500 RPM red line, 200 HP, 168 lb-ft of torque and a 100 mile range with a weight of 495 lbs. There are options to give the Super-Bike a 120, 150 or 180 mile range plus plenty of other options from enhanced brakes, suspension, etc. all for a starting retail price of $38,888 USD. It is truly the fastest production motorcycle in the world. Now if this was all they had, Harley would not have a problem, but as the very first image above states, Lightning announced their second bike the "Lightning Strikes" that will have a base 150 mile range, top speed of 150 mph with a 35 min recharge on DC for a starting price of $12,998. Production begins March 2019. At this time there is no other information or pictures of the production bike, but all this will come out at the grand official Strike launch in March 2019. 150 miles of range, 150 mph top speed for $12,998, ? I think Harley Davidson should be worried! Lightning Motorcycle lightningmotorcycle.com 933 American St, San Carlos, CA 94070 (650) 453-3769
