  1. WTF is up with the PIG Nose Grill? The ProMaster van is still butt ugly, but then it is a van. The new chrome grill is enough to make me Just do not get what they hell the stylist was thinking with that grill?
  2. ??? Scout, not sure what El Kabong is talking about but please tell us a little bit about yourself, type of auto's you like, hobbies, etc.
  3. Makes sense with the crewcab models, you get a very versatile auto. GM is doing well in this segment, I am sure Ford and Ram are reviewing it as there is money on the table till the next Gas run up in prices.
  4. Someone is crying over spilled milk. I do think those laws are very much out dated for requiring dealerships myself though.
  5. Bill Clinton did that in the 90's and we still did not get better roads. Then Shrub spent Trillions on his personal war and we still did not win. Wasn't my point dfelt but in my only defense of Bush Jr. he also had to use a military that was cut in half by the Clinton administration during the 90's. There is a direct cause and effect link there but I don't want to talk politics here. It never gets anyone anywhere here. True and I will also respect and stay away since this is not the political thread. My point is no matter who is in office, they waste money out of the country rather than taking care of the country first. Our infrastructure is pathetic and we need to build a modern electrical grid, natural gas, roads, etc. I believe we can all agree we need to invest in America first before elsewhere.

  8. I am excited by this, but sadly it is also still just a half ass measure as the current highway infrastructure work needed is estimated at $400 Billion. So while this will help, it will not really address replacing the old worn out bridges and roads nor will it really address the need for better mass transit and freeway expansion to deal with congestion. Cut a third of the 1800 military bases around the world and use that money on rebuilding America.
  9. I do not think they will have a choice as Germany is already having a major problem with acid rain and destruction of the forests due to it. The German gov is working to change out of diesel mode and into green mode. I would expect a drop in diesel and manuals.
  10. So you like them short and fat. Got it!
  11. Sadly I see many of them here in Washington, even in an EV i Car they are still assholes. Interesting observation is as one time at work we had 3 of them in the parking garage and all are gone now. The folks all traded them in as they could not live their life the way they wanted and charging of them took for ever. I think the i cars are the fastest turn over of new to traded in I have ever seen in an auto.
  12. Amazing Deer tries to take out Police Cruiser. Dashcam captures the deer after flipping over the auto and then running off into the woods. WOW http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/12028256/Deer-flips-into-the-air-after-hitting-a-police-car-then-miraculously-runs-away.html
  13. Interesting read, sounds like this is being used to finally kill off trim lines that really do not make sense or profit. Course I wonder how much they will have to spend to cancel contracts, but this should help them clean up a messy product line.
  14. Yes to quote the original story, "When operational, the first three buses will likely be deployed on routes 241 and 226 on the Eastside initially, because that is where their charging station is, said Metro spokeswoman Rochelle Ogershok." http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/blog/techflash/2015/11/king-county-metro-starts-testing-100-electric.html Here is the link for you also.
  15. So Route 226 and 241 both start and end at mass transit centers. Route 226 has 50 stops and is a grand total of 14 miles. Route 241 has 25 stops and is a grand total of 16.8 miles. Both Transit centers have chargers for these buses, so they will run the route and then charge up again, then run the route again. Should be good for minimal disruption. I do wonder how heating and AC depending on the season will affect the battery packs.
  16. G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com The King County Metro mass transit division has decided to work with manufacture Proterra, Inc., a Burlingame California based company in testing pure battery powered electric buses on the hills of Seattle. These buses get 23 miles per charge and recharge in 10 min. These three buses will be deployed on heavy use city routes. Metro will be evaluating the cost savings from using EV buses. This testing will take 1 year and be done over the 2016 calendar year. Metro as well as Proterra is committed to having the greenest bus fleet in the world. Full Story is found here.
  17. Not a bad looking sedan, but a bit too conservative for me. The interior is nice. I just hope the interior comes in black or at least Mocha Brown as the white interiors like tan show so much dirt.
  18. Interesting to compare the concept to the production. Very close but clearly some changes made for maximizing the electric drive system.
  19. Very Cool, Gotta love the pedestrian decapitation front end on it and of course this will come standard with the rear cameras to deal with the small blind spots! So I wonder how fast be fore we see families with a BOLT as their go to work and local driving auto plus a gas powered or Hybrid CUV for road trips?
  20. Any Idea what this is in this picture, it is gone from all the others. Maybe packing material for when the auto was shipped for the photo shoot? Very sexy overall, Cannot wait for newer better quality pictures of both the inside and outside.
  21. At least it is much better than the ugly BMW I3 or Prius puke.
  22. At least here in the Seattle market the incentives do apply to all the products including the GTI, the only change on the GTI is that the auto loan is a 1.9% interest for 60 months versus .9% for 72 months on everything else. Kinda weird, not sure why this one is different but it clearly is stated on the web pages for the VW dealers here.
  23. Very cool, looks good and true to concept form. Weird observation in the very first photo is a weird boxy thing around the right front bumper area. Wonder what that was as it is gone in later photos.
