Drew, that is a sweet bike. I used to ride till I got married and had kids. Wife gave me a choice of her or the bike. I retired the bike. Miss it, but am happy with all the other fun toys that have replaced it especially my waverunners. I have always liked the Yamaha bikes, I checked out and rode the following that is a blast: Empulse TT 10,400 watt hour EV Bike. I also like the Hammer S

The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Is Officially Sold Out!!!
This.. Absolutely This. The CTS-V and the Escalade possess a great deal of what would make a helluva sales romp happen over at Cadillac IF.. GM would just realize that the OHV V8 should be in everything they make in one form or another.. only exception maybe being the XT5.. and even that should get a TTV6 with minimum 400HP asap. This also reinforces why Cadillac needs to do a V edition of the Escalade. I would take a fully loaded ESV Platinum V edition now. Would love to have my escalade as is with that extra supercharged power! At this point.. just for profits and novelty. I could see a 550HP Escalade. 640HP in an Escalade would have GM on trial for MANSLAUGHTER weekly.. guaranteed. I see no problem with keeping the engine as is all 640 lovely ponies in the Escalade. Other high end SUVs have this kind of power and are not on trial, just saying.

Quick Drive: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and Wrangler Unlimited 75th Anniversary
This was cut during editing as I couldn't find a spot to for this to fit in, but I think it describes my feelings on both vehicles. "To put it you this way: If I was going to do the Moab trail, I would pick the Wrangler because I know it will get me there and back. As for getting to Moab, that would be handled by the Grand Cherokee." That is a perfect ending IMHO! I would totally agree with you. Have the Grand Cherokee pulling a trailer with the Rubicon Wrangler on the back. Leave the Grand Cherokee at the trailhead with Trailer and go play for the weekend in the wrangler. Nice job Bill!

Quick Drive: 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and Wrangler Unlimited 75th Anniversary
Love the write up and the comparisons, ending wise, the Grand Jeep Cherokee is a great auto, but is too refined for those of us that like to play in the outdoors. Wrangler it is!

Volvo News: Volvo Sets A Modest Sales Goal for the S90 in the U.S.
OK, true, globally, but then I checked out what Volvo stated and was honestly surprised. Here is their actual numbers: https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/press/releases/2009/2008sales.shtml In 2007 they had a record year producing and selling a total of 458,323 total auto's produced globally. The S80 made up a global sale of 42,527 so then that would make this a multi-billion dollar sales auto. But I would have to think this is still slim in comparison to other product lines. They clearly are not as big as GM or Toyota.

GM News: GM Announces Partnership with Navistar for Cutaway Van Production
the blue is sharp, i really like the rain forest green too but if had the cash and nothing better to do with it id go for the midnight edition 2500 hd I think he was talking about the Colorado btw. how embarrassing, i keep forgetting the diesel colorado/canyons. duramax = 6.6 when i hear it! a local dealership had a trail boss z71 crew cab colorado but the 43k price tag is tough to swallow... Yupo, I was talking about the Colorado/Canyon twins since it was what started off the article above. They are lovely trucks as are the full size.

Volvo News: Volvo Sets A Modest Sales Goal for the S90 in the U.S.
OK, so maybe I am missing something, but if the S80 sedan only sold 12,347 in 2007 and the average transaction price was $75,000 that means gross sales was $926,025,000. I wonder how much it cost to develop the auto in the first place, support, testing, etc. Did they ever make money on the auto? Even break even? I question how a company as small as Volvo can make money on such low production figures. Any additional info on this from them?

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes-Benz Teases A New Modular Electric Platform
I think who ever gets multiple versions of EV CUVs out that are quality, 200+ to 300+ range will clean up. I am hoping that GM is starting that with the BOLT. BOLT 225 mile EV Subcompact JOLT 325 mile EV Compact JOULE 425 Mile EV Mid size VOLTAIC 525 Mile EV Full size I could see this as a full Chevy EV Family of CUVs.

Cadillac News: Cadillac Introduces A Special Edition of the ATS for Japan
I agree that 99.9% of people will not be able to tell the difference between the 15HP but I bet a butt load of folks could tell the difference between a V8 and V6. Yet the exhaust system does give it a very nice note! Yes the cost is there, but I like the pull of a v8 over a v6 everyday.

Weird Issues today June 10th 2016
OK, I know I am tired, I even looked in the help section but I cannot seem to find the options or style or theme to change and see if that is an issue now even though up to the time this started all worked fine for me. Where do I go to change my look n feel as I seem to be missing the link in the interface.

Self Driving Machines is a battle for your soul and that of Detroit!
G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.CheersandGears.com Self Driving Machines is a battle for your soul and that of Detroit! Wall Street Journal had the following story, Detroit Battles for the Soul of Self-Driving Machines. In reading this I felt it was more about Self Driving Machines and the battle for Detroit and your soul as a driver. The story goes on to follow an engineer who left Caterpillar and went to Ford only to end up at a startup that is doing far more inline with High Tech software companies than auto companies. It made me wonder if the new Detroit is not the west coast now. The amount of technology that is being aimed at the auto industry, self driving cars, internet access, updates on the fly, etc. makes it seem like the future auto's will be more of an electric device you update to get the latest and greatest and for those that want performance with customization, you pay an extra fee and get it. It is amazing to see where employment is at in this industry and how software engineers are driving the creation of new jobs and growth. The story covers how GM just bought Cruise Automation for $1 Billion dollars. Toyota just also bought a competitor company for $1 Billion dollars and the engineers are extremely wealthy now as GM's company was a 20 person startup, Toyota's company was a 16 person startup. Ford just bought a software cloud computing company for $182 million to expand their software expertise without adding layers of employees at corp. Even Tesla is not immune to the brain drain that is pulling talented people away from building advanced tech autos at established companies and going to startups. The story goes on about the signing bonuses at more than $25,000 a year and how Google and Apple is just consuming them with traditional high paying software development paying jobs that the auto industry is not used to paying. The interesting ending comment is from GM, Quote: “The notion that we’re hiring someone at GM, cradle to grave, a lifer, that’s dead,” Mr. Huffaker said. The goal instead is to get them to stay longer, he said. This was a great story that talks to me and shows just how technology is radically changing the auto industry at a pace they have never dealt with before and could make evolutionary changes in just a few years compared to the 20-30 years it used to take to cause profound change in a product line. Check it out and sound off on what your thoughts are on this!
