  3. Hyper " I think the age of the Muscle and Pony car has finally passed on as this car is proving to be stepping into a area only the elite cars tread and at a price less than the ZR1." I'm inclined to agree and wouldn'y GM be wise to court the kids now with an alpha coupe with large HP I4 & I3's? Think big & small block pony cars of the past w/o so much of the tech not a stripper car just no magna ride ect...
  4. I'm so happy for you and I probably have touched your truck as I was at the factory doing inspections on every V8, it was a great gig while it lasted That color you got and the Imperial Blue were my fav.s
  5. Thanx Big Pontiac I've not heard a Muncie in way too many years and that was in the Imp , but it's been sitting way too long . Money and these vidios would go a long way in getting it back on the street.
  6. I got ya & am living that nightmare unemployed also
  7. Saw my third yday I just thought it was a local depressed market thing?
  8. We were able to see them about a month and a half ago but I missed them I've seen them before as a kid here in Dayton OH. I saw them once while on a deer hunting trip in SE OH also that was the best we heard about it and went to the top of a foothill.
  9. I totaly agree with the "to the moon" comment I went to the local Goodwill auction & it was the worst time I've spent looking at cars YMMV. Find a used car dealer who isn't a sleez and see if he will work with you for a fee. I've got a friend that has a junk yard and we had discussed this in the past only to find one in Craigslist.

  11. Nice tech but how many of you remember cold winter days and being slapped on the leg by your Dad for drawing on HIS windows . How far we've come and not in a good way I think at times.
  12. The only thing running the streets now is Reliable ROPOS 1994 Chevy 1500 ext 332K mi
  13. I dissagree in that smaller is not better. In the past smaller engines were base power plants but with the EcoTecyou have a factory bottom end able to take 1000HP IIRC and subsiquent engines will build on this. The 4.3L was a base engine but even it didn't crap out at 100K mi hell it was a small block with low power. What would wear out? Only maybe the timing chain or motor mounts but nowhere near 100K mi.
  14. Nah theyare seen seldom in this contenant been arround for quite some time
  15. I think they are trying to cool the brakes they're on the brakes as much as gas in rally cars
  16. Dwight the compression hight can be changed by the rod or piston but is normaly altered by the piston it self. In looking into the cheapest way to build a mega mouse SB Chevy I found that in using a off the shelf piston designed for a 5.850 length rod instead of a 5.7 the piston would be at deck hight with my custom stroke And now you guys will see how bad I spell with out spell check. I've updated my Linux distribution and now as Hyper says I can't get spell check to work within the fourm outside it OK but not here. Any ideas? I'm using FoxFire maybe I'll D/L Chrome or try KDE's default. I hate looking dumb since I at least know that its spelled wrong if I see it. It's not that I'm lazy I'm dixlexic plus spelling was my worst subject I can spot incorrect spelling though and that just makes it so much worse.
