  1. Camino hears the site with the flow chart & troubleshooting info this is what I used http://chevythunder.com/ Best of luck, & yeah Autozone Advance & O'Reily's can help with loaner tools Autozone is free though
  2. Ever do that compression test It just seems that you're just fine tuning an engine with a problem that hasn't been identified yet. I know you are frustrated but go by the flow charts to fix the problem instead of chasing this rabbit. I know how bad I was chasing my tail when the ignition module failed partially (the fuel side failed) took me 3 days and my best friend(as good a mechanic as myself)2 days to find it 1.5 hrs to drive get the parts and repair. Please don't take this wrong I don't mean to heckle you I really want you to get this fixed with the minimum time effort & $ expended I'm trying to find the flow chart I used & will post a link when I find it Best of luck, Rick

  5. Good for me, their all Chevy's. Might have a future Chevy sub forum but not necessary.
  6. I wonder if any teams will campaign at Mid Ohio next year I'd go for sure
  7. Thanx Olds
  8. Per above post that is the purpose to change US law to equal Canadian law allowing any car at least 15 years old to be imported thus we could have a newer used Ute(wagon coupe sedan...) sooner.
  9. I like where this is going I may get a Holden wagon yet or a HQ-HZ maybe
  10. Good choice and I hope your very pleased with your lease. I realy like the Reagle also every time I see one in traffic Im mesmerized by the trunk deck I still think that it's fiberglass. On the G/P though only $1K? you'd been better off selling outright if you had anything else to drive. Your car would have brought in 3500 - $4000 easy around here but I guess Cali is a different world. If you've followed the thread about insane used car market prices you'll know where I'm coming from. I'd also like to thank you for helping to fuel the economy. It takes guts to take on a car payment these days. You and other like minded folks are keeping the Country moving till the Government can get out of the way and solve some of this debt reduction. My hat's off to ya my good fellow. Enjoy!

  13. First thing I thought too, looking at the 1/4 shot had to look at the rear to see if they went for the split window hatch also.

  15. Camino take a look at all fuel line fittings that looked like a valve seal but should have been black for that. The fuel line seals on that 454ss I did looked suspiciously like that item
  16. Not trying to hijack the thread but Reliable ROPOS's fuel pump died on me. I got it home w/o a tow. I've only got the truck to drive so had to borrow moms LeSabre to run parts. The damage was fuel pump, filter, tank strap bolt, rear U joint. I worry about the fuel lines they're 2x as big as new due to rust, good shape for 330K mi though
  17. Long hood? DTS was a lot longer
  18. Best to ya Cort and see ya soon, God bless

  20. GM needs to UpDate Express & Savana with a new fresh design not bring over some narrow tall Euro Van.
  21. That's just the thing that worries me about the electric Sonic, we will see them for sale with less than 1000 mi on them. That will be epic fail!
  22. That still leaves the X11 in for the win as it's NOT a sticker car the '80 was though. 135hp versus 115hp? Still underpowered. Yeah, its still a sticker and spoiler sports car, at least in my book. As egregious as others, well, no... but it was no Z28... of course, the Z28 in '82 was no Z28, either. ;-) Yeah 20HP seems quite low but the car was able to match a 305cid Nova! The car had a different transmission with completely different gear ratios and axle ratio of 3.73 to 1, huge sway bars, power steering cooler, functional hood scoop, higher compression heads, body kit...It was compared to the 320i,99T,and Volvo Turbo and beat them all in most categories. This was a 17second car at a time when most were turds that couldn't get out of their own way. I was ordering mine when a salesman tried to talk me into a Camaro cause the 4spd had a hold for epa certification I asked him why would I pay new car price for an eleven year old car, he looked at me like . In hind site I should have as the X11 lasted all of 60k mi. The Camaro would still be here now.
  23. Von I'm gonna negate the Space Shuttle vans w/3800's I like them very much w/o the 3100 & 3spd tranny. I had a wrecked Old's & was gonna put in a 3800 S/C but lost my garage and had to let her go. That would have been real fun.
  24. Glad to see the loss of those horseshoes over the wheel wells like a lot of Mitsu cars
  25. Oh, I thought you were just fond of it. In my case, its my favorite, except perhaps the 928. The 928 was always kind of a un-Porsche. No problem, I can stick with the unlovable A, X and J bodies sticker and spoiler "sports cars". That still leaves the X11 in for the win as it's NOT a sticker car the '80 was though.
