  1. 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Pace Car I am shocked no one has posted this, the car looks pretty sweet. Someone in my family either me or my son might be getting one if a few years.
  2. I agree. Not saying I wouldn't take a 2006-2007 (Classic) SS someday. Now if it was ranked behind the Tundra which it wouldn't have been, I would have been mad.
  3. You really don't have a clue. Seeing somebody on sixty mintues and not being impressed is not away I judge someone. Sorry you really need to take off the blinders and realize what Bob has done for GM. Solstice, Sky, GTO, G8, CTS-V, and the Volt. He also pushed for GOOD panel fits inside and out. Honestly you haven't a clue, stop the hate.
  4. You smart ass. I always enjoy you Moltar.
  5. Rush is not my source for news. He is someone who comments on things you know? Same for Sean Hannity, and Glen Beck. Although I watch/listen to many of them when I get the chance its not news. New is what is on CNN and FOX. I am sure I would discovery some hard working people in LA and SF but not nearly as many I would discovery throughout other areas in the US. I find it funny how we come to defend these people in Cali whom really don't care for American cars because they aren't trendy enough, and aren't exclusive enough or green enough. Toyota/Lexus products based on my visits to LA are VERY common and you have to look for a Chevrolet or Ford. And afterall we are a GM FORUM, so I find that interesting. Not that is all about what you drive, but driving American to me is a small sign of patriotism. I've spoke my part. Now I am done.
  6. Croc face it, Cali is hardly what I consider in the LA and SF area at least what I consider average America. It is people who care way to much about image, themselfs and one-upping each other. Sorry. I have visited a few times and its very clear to me. People in those large cities in many cases couldn't be any more rude and in-love with themselfs. These are the very people that buy Toyota's and Lexus products, because GM and Ameircan goods are for "hicks". The culture I was raised in is very different from Hollywood and the San Fransico values. I was raised in a different time, when people introduced themselfs and shook hands, and hoe was a garden tool. Once again pop culture, bull$h! and lies have helped ruin GM because all American cars suck right? And it has ruined the minds of many folks especially in large cities like LA. Sadly some good folks live in areas like SF and LA and are stuck with all the jerks. Is being a traditional American a bad thing? Since when is buying an American product or GM cars a bad thing? Since when is thinking people should take responsiblity for their actions a bad thing? Hell since when are teaching childern moral values and right from wrong a bad thing? Call me a traditionalist, Church go-er (most weekends), and my belief that goverment creates problems wrong. Call me a "hick", redneck, old-fashioned republican fine, but those were values far and long before people were pushed to buy hybrid cars and the media starting dumping on the big three for making only large and gas hog vehicles. Should I not be proud of who I am and what I belief in? Should I not be proud of how I was raised? I can't take to much more of this pop culture $h!, because if Cali is progressive then that is NOT SOMETHING I WANT TO BE.
  7. Can I just say THANK YOU. I could not have said it any better myself.
  8. Flawed plan with many flawed ideas... Lets see in your plan Pontiac is gone, mistake. Just like killing Olds was don't even get me going on that or Pontiac for that matter. You have the Lucerne and DTS just floating away and thus getting rid of many traditional buyers. (They'll go to the Lincoln MKS, Avalon or ES trust me.) That is one huge mistake, I support a "premium" fullsize FWD vehicle for Buick and Cadillac with a six speed automatic and a Northstar or DI V6. Anyways that prolly won't happen. GM must do something because in the traditional luxury market Lucerne/DTS buyers GM has, basically most of that market. These buyers tend to be VERY loyal to domestic cars and trade in every few years, pissing these folks off isn't bright by not offering them a vehicle. Next off you have assumed many things will happen in the market/industry which may not happen and have CUT SO MUCH truck production out you might as well give the market to Ford and Toyota. I support this... Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, GMC and Pontiac all remain the tradtional and "old" brands Saturn (which was a mistake) is phased out, Saab is sold or kept, and Hummer just get rid of it. Then narrow Pontiac's focus to cars with a G6 (as a volume seller) G8 (as a niche performance car) Solstice (niche sports car) and nix the damn Vibe (after the cycle ends) and introduce a new Cruze based Pontiac that actually looks like a Pontiac not a rebadge. As for the rest keep it simple would be my advice and bring out great products. Not all your crazy ideas have to happen nor thankfully will some of them happen. Once again depending how GM treats Pontiac that could change what company I buy my next NEW car from. If they piss away a loyal customer like me who will be left to buy them? That is what scares me. FOR THE FINAL TIME GM CAN'T BE TOYOTA. I they can't try to be Toyota nor should they be Toyota. Offering a wide range of vehicles from different brands works pretty well for GM and will keep doing so. Just give it time, and if Pontiac has to live with some not so great products for a while fine, but when the time comes to give them a great new product then do it. Time will only tell. As for my car coming in the summer most likely a 2006-2007 Monte Carlo 1LT (price must be right under 10K) a 2007-2008 G6, or maybe a 2002-2004 Seville depends all on what I find. I could end up with a GP or another Impala but who knows.
  9. Cali in the LA and San Fran areas is full of flakes. In the smaller more rural areas people Generally have more common sense and are more like the "rest" of America. A few big fooled hearted cities ruin the state. Sad. Great place to visit never want to live there. Thanks for the info on the "blue dogs" and the great American cars they drive, it comes as no suprise, because all we hear about is LA and SF and all the progressive save the trees $h! from them.
  10. You need to shut up. Bob Lutz is one of the only "true" car guys GM had. You can thank him for the great Solstice, fast and sleek GTO, the sweet new Malibu, CTS, G8 and the new Camaro. If you think he destoryed Pontiac then your full of $h! he gave a Pontiac a chance with some fun cars. Bob Lutz has been a God-Send to GM make no mistake. He is one of the people along with Welburn that actually care about how a car looks and drives. Get the blinders off man and get the $h! out of you. Do you realize how screwed we'd be with no Bob Lutz?
  11. I totally disagree with MANY of your model cuts, this won't happen nor be this dramatic unless GM wants to loose customers who have been very loyal like me they better not try this. If I leave GM because of a plan with no Pontiac and the various other cuts and I am GM loyal who will be left?
  12. It should be for cars from the BIG THREE ONLY.
  13. Yupper that is what I am guessing.
  14. Even in a down economy this thing will sell trust me.
  15. Killing Olds was a mistake flat out. Pontiac is not safe either I fear but has a better chance of living than Saturn, Saab and Hummer. Much better.
  16. Saturn is not a favorite brand around here trust me. I won't kill you, $h! I agree.
  17. It is a personal pref. thing, I don't care. I like each for different reasons.
  18. Just what the world needs more nut jobs. I am with FOG I would have smacked that crazy bitch in the face. :twocents:
  19. I totally agree DF.

    Opinions?

Convert it too a 4spd. and that would be one hell of a car to drive.

    Opinions?

Sweet car go for it. OHC sixs are not fully apperciated yet.
  22. I was searching around like always and came across a 1988 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 2WD with a 454 BIG BLOCK and the Turbo 400. This black beauty has NO RESERVE, and only 67,500 miles on her. Bidding is around 1,200 currently. If I was closer and was half nuts I would snag this thing for a road tripper. Here is the link... I am sure XP, and 68 will fall in love with this thing. 1988 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 2WD 454ci. BIG BLOCK
  23. Moron.
  24. I totally agree. I wouldn't prolly ever by a car like this, but if I had to I would go with this one or a Volt no question. I have always had respect for Honda and their "culture/products". This thing ain't too hard on the eyes. I am guilty of looking at in on Honda's website. When I go to Chicago I will make a point of visiting the Honda booth and telling the rep a little about me and saying congrations and good luck kicking Prius a$$. They certainly deserve too. As for the Volt I can have a new Camaro 2SS/RS for the same price or a G8 GXP so explain why I would get a Volt? Toyota will be ready for an a$$ kicking and they deserve it.
  25. The other thing you can do is buy used... try bhphotovideo out of NY, NY they always ship timely and are fair.
