  1. Yesterday you made you cry, today you make me jealous. Ive never been to Nafpaktos. I always crossed the Corinth canal to get to Patra or Kyllini to get to Zakynthos and Kephalonia. I had past friends that came from there though, and told me its a beautiful place. But then again...like you said in the Ford thread...Greece is paradise on earth... Its still August, so Im assuming European tourists are currently in full swing, Zakynthos will probably be swamped with young Italians....make sure to make a pit stop in Argassi if you want to see Daytona Beach Spring Break type partying...LOL!!! Ive never been to Samos....my mother-n-law comes from Rhodes, so Ive been there. And Santorini. Crete is where I wanna go next on the other side... Like you said yesterday...pos sto dialo kantadisame etsi? Translation: How in the hell did we end up this way? Both for us...and Greece's economy. Enjoy your vacation Wings. Do me a favor, in Zakynthos, if you can, and you are passing by the the northern tip of the island, look straight ahead at the other island that you will be seeing in the horizon (Kephalonia) and just whisper these words : "Andreas promises he will be back soon. With all of his family." Ill be toasting you with a shot of ouzo later in the day. Yia sou!
  2. Now THAT is funny! You trying to burn an Oldsmobile down....not so much...I dont care if its a W-Body! Hell...even an Oldsmobile J-Car...one does not try to kill it with fire! Have some respect for the dead, if not for the oldest American car company and the TRUE father of the mass production automobile assembly line...automatic transmission...etc...
  3. Great that I entertained you but not so great that I annoyed my Canuck brother... That is how he is lookin' at me right now... My Mom: "So Oldsy, how was your fist day in school today?" Oldsy: "Great! I made a new friend! We had a pushing and shoving match...but it all worked for the best in the end, mom!" Here...A W-Body...why? It replaced the G-Body!
  4. dude...I dont care...its you that started this... Like what you like...the thing is...its kinda irrational...to be lookin at overhangs the way you do... I posted 4 G-bodies...and you had an aneurysm... and you are soooo worked up about it...that stick I mentioned...you buried it up your butt so far...it disappeared...Fabturbo fellow might have to install an intercooler after our convo... Listen man...I dont want to go further into this...you are an admin after all...the thing is...its quite unhealthy to be so hard up on a couple of inches of overhang...(no puns intended...honest... )especially concerning 1980s so called muscle cars... To boot...one particular G-Body is a very sought after muscle car...Darth Vader's ride...just to blend in with you...since both of you seem to be Comic con nerds... I aint a Comic con nerd. but I am nerdy in my own way concerning certain comic con things...Stars Wars is one thing...a mild Stars Wars fan...but Im a very WW2 geek...so... friends?
  5. You think a G-Body is not balanced in its proportions? OK???!!! You said it best...You like what you like...and Ill like what I like...the thing is...I dont throw hissy fits over overhangs... PS: I dont want to do anything with that stick...especially when its been up your butt so deep. Yu could keep it...maybe you could share it with Fapturbo over there...looks like he needs a reason to continue fapping...the pics of the G-Bodies might have made his turbo lag...
  6. Thanx for answering me. But...pretty strong overhangs...you know...for FWD... Less overhangs...considerably in the front...less so in the back...especially for FWD... But it does seem foolish to whine about front overhang yet accept it on your Intrepid where as compared to that Zeta car...your Intrepid still exceeds your standards by at least 6 inches...and is maybe not THAT much shorter on the G-Bodies... and the ultimate...and you cant get more ironic than this...and...you cant get more MOPAR machismo, RWD at that, then this next car... and the overhangs in this one are stupendous!!! Although I like your thoughts on overhang styling...I dont seem to be bothered by it...I actually like it and look forward to it...on some models.... As long as the overall product looks good on the overall picture is #alls Im sayin' Oh...some mid-engined exotics have whacked front overhangs too.... Oh look Porsche...modern Porsche because classic Porsche...is slightly less... it dont matter where the engine is located and what wheels are powered #is alls Im sayin'. I guess...its a bitch to be soooooo picky in life. Maybe we should start reducing the amount of times we stick a stick up our butts during the day. That way we could enjoy the birds sing more often...#justsayin' All in the name of fun...this post was. Nothing more. Nothing less.
  7. I wanted to address his post...but I figured...a poster that either 1. doesnt have the courtesy to join our forums to engage in a discussion a) because he prefers doing the run and gun type posting b) posts once in a blue moon just to troll... 2. doesnt have the balls to actually confront, as a member, the posters he targets doesnt merit my precious time. I aint gonna waste good bandwidth on him....he aint worth all that aggravation and stupidity...
  8. I love that 1999 Charger concept, but that I hope the Giulia platform to house a 1999 Charger concept look-a-like better be a stretched version, because the Giulia looks to be too short for that 1999 Charger...especially if FCA wants to get the right proportions to really make it resemble the 1999 concept. That 1999 concept is a long car.... And Im stoked for the return of a Barracuda. It says convertible...so Im guessing a Dodge Barracuda would be the convertible version of the next generation Challenger? Im OK with that... EDIT: http://www.autoblog.com/2015/08/26/barracuda-grand-cherokee-trackhawk-promised/ The link above states that the Barracuda will be offered in coupe and convertible form and will be smaller than the Challenger.... Im still OK with that. Im stoked with the new Charger...hopefully it will be as long or longer than the current generation and less bulky...more slender...like the concept...with the same proportions...that 1999 Charger concept is pure Americana...I miss those days when all American cars cars looked more or less like that....sleek and slender long cars with long hoods and short decks....and sometimes long hoods and somewhat short decks...but still technically longish decks...if you know what I mean... About the V8 part...I wish it would be a part of the Mopar mainstream performance card...but the way the automotive industry is going....I wont hold my breath....and if I continue living in Montreal (gas prices are high in Quebec)....I doubt Ill be a customer of a V8 car anytime soon either...
  9. All C Class Mercedes... It has more to do with my personal group of friends than anything else. Like BMW 3 Series cars or BMW itself. Im luke warm to the W202. Hate the W203. LOATHE the W204. Im confused by the new W205. There are days where I think its the ugliest thing ever built, then there are days were Im admiring it...weird feeling.
  10. Its a wonder why we even get along, CCAP. I hate the C Class Mercedes more than I hate your generation Mustang. I could tolerate your gen. Mustang, but that C Class is a no go for me. Like there is no way in Hades where Im gonna let up on my displeasure for the C Class. With the Mustang....at least there is the Bullitt Mustang and the Cobra R that I LOVE... Ill try to find middle ground 'cause I cherish your internet friendship and your posts. I really like me some M-B 190 E Cosworths....and the 190 in general. However, your former C Class looked good I must say...so there is that. I probably would choose your Mustang over your C Class if I had to make a decision.
  11. Hyper....all your posts about the subject at hand about sums it up...quite nicely and elegantly I might add.
  12. I have realized I dont want car tech. Other than certain safety features and nanny stuff, such as ABS brakes and traction control...all other stuff could go to HELL!!! Ill only keep a USB port or two...that is it!!!
  13. Im confused....so...are you two Pixar playmates for or against overhang and the GM G-Body? Because...everytime I see overhang on a classic American car... And I just... TOUCH MYSELF... OOOOH...AHHHH
  14. What really is missing...in 2015...is the original pony car and muscle car formula... Sporty car that most could afford with not that many features...reducing the price necessary to get into one. RWD at that. There is the Toyota/Scion/Subaru Trio. The Miata. And Im afraid that is it. None of those offer a V8, nor a V6. The FRS and BRZ are as close to what Falcon based Mustang and Chevy II based Camaro were all about back in the 1960s... Base V6 engines and for the Mustang in 1964...a very anemic V8... We do have the pocket rocket hot hatches... Those back in the 1980s had the pony car formula...albeit in FWD form...lost it sometime in the 1990s...but since 2010...the hot hatch sporty and affordable formula is back...no...not RWD, but FWD....and keep in mind...today's hot hatches would also embarrass some 1960s muscle cars in the quarter mile...and they turn...and brake... so yeah...I agree with you HyperV6...'tis 2015...and all three "pony cars" from Detroit have grown up...even as far back as 2002...and let us not kid ourselves...a Camaro SS was just a stone throw away in price from a BMW M3...not exactly cheap. And a lot lot cheaper in quality and build at that. this 2016 Camaro...will probably rival the M4 in quality and build...and if not the M3...certainly the 435 Series
  15. I really just want something a bit more up to date for my Toronado (if I had the money). No need for 500+ horsepower. Swift and silent... a mild Turbo-6 would be fine. That Monte Carlo is way overkill on an astronomical budget. If I had a resto car like that, I'd get a modern port-injected 5.3L from a junkyard because they're inexpensive and can be found anywhere. Couple of mods and it would make 330-350 hp. If I was doing a G-Body resto-mod... - Id go with a TT 3.6 LF3 for the Regal ....Id get the engine from a crashed CTS V-Sport and install it in the Buick...you know...Turbo 6 connection... - Grand-Prix would be a 6.0 LS2 @ 400HP/400 ft.lbs torque from a Pontiac GTO...because Pontiac... - Monte Carlo would get the 5.3 liter...like we said about a Camaro...for 327 cubic inch nostalgia purposes and Chevrolet - Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme would be getting an LS3...from a wrecked Pontiac G8 or Chevrolet SS or 2008 Corvette... I wouldnt want more than the 400 or so horsepower with all these engines I chose. Actually...Id be more than happy with your choice of the 5.3 @ 330-350 horsepower range you chose... I chose those engines for some sort of connection I made with history and such... These are my restomod G-Body models. 1987/1988 Chevy Monte Carlo LS 1981 Grand Prix LJ 1987 442 and/or 1983 Hurst/Olds 1987 GN GNX
  16. Im confused... 2 cylinders less, but more equipment? Could THAT be a selling point? Or how 'bout this scenario...move up to the "mid-engine" for both vehicles and the roles are reversed...2 cylinders more for the Camaro AND enjoying MORE power... Yeah...we will wait and see how this plays out...
  17. You mean...these are the two I have to choose from? Just as how I love me a Bandit Trans Am...because of the movie...and it has to be a 2010 Challenger rather than a Hellcat...well...Kowalski's white 1970 Challenger for me...that and the 440 six pack. If we are talking about a pro-touring resto-mod however...well, I might as well get the 2010 Challenger instead...but...let it be known...that the classic muscle car from the 1960s and 1970s will for ever be cooler than retro models from the new millennium... What makes a Mustang exempt from this is that the Mustang never stopped... its lineage has always continued on...unlike the Camaro and Challenger....which makes the Mustang super cool, because it keeps on soldiering on...doing what it has always done...non-stop...and re-kindling pony car coolness with its retro design...and helping to resurrect Camaro and Challenger retros at the same time....while the latter last two pony cars...had died...
  18. I recently "liked" a Chears and Gears post about a poster "liking" an extremely relevant page on Facebook about damaged Toyota products...because: 1. post was funny. 2. poster shares same sentiment about Toyota products as me.
  19. Yup...and looking at the 2.0T, it makes 275 horsepower, the same amount (but less than the 2.3 ecoboost from Ford) the LT1 Camaro made in 1993...and more torque... I was 20 years old in 1993 and I thought that was an un-Godly amount of power... Yeah...Ive said it before, the 335 horse 3.6 liter V6 Camaro would be good enough for me...but if I had a choice...like El K mentioned...a Silverado 5.3 liter (327 cubic inches for nostalgic purposes!!! ) 355 horse/383 lb-ft torque would be my dream...no need for more power than that...and V8... But my wet dream would be a 6.2 liter, screamin' chicken laden, black and gold...never mind...
  20. Ah RIGHT! Its BA-ACK! The DOWN VOTES are BA-ACK!
  21. For you...but some of us actually prefer American Muscle sounds over Ferraris, Lambos.. Veyron? Yeah...I dont think so Tim. Why? Its muffled! You hardly hear the engine! And yeah...I do like Ferrari symphony......I just prefer American V8 rock-n-roll that much better...ROCK ME AMADEUS!!! Ironic post...from me. Rock Me Amadeus...Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart...pseudo rock song...if you could even call it that... about an Austrian...by an Austrian group... Nothing Rock-N-Rolly about that....nothing American either...but oh well...Its fun posting Olds style!!!
  22. I ran out of time...to do something about that...without trying to be too conspicuous...but yeah...semantix...or seman-tics
  23. semantics and El Kabong be like I could just imagine what the name Bill does to you...
  24. Awesome! I once wanted to buy a 1959 Chevy Impala 2 door sedan, but my daddy did not let me. So I used his stupid 1986 Chevy Celebrity instead. And in hindsight...its more like this emoticon... That is as close as I got to own real American iron!!!
  25. 389? Did somoene say 389? All I could think of when someone says 389 is this: Little GTO, you're really lookin' fine Three deuces and a four-speed and a 389 Listen to her tachin' up now, listen to her why-ee-eye-ine C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out GTO WA-WA!!! wa, wa, wa, wa, wa, wa! What housed that 389? And in what will it be its future dwelling? You and Balthazar.... I respect mucho...because you guys are the real deal...when it comes to cars!!!
