BMW News: BMW Makes Apple CarPlay Free
I believe they're the only company with the rights to be wireless. Everybody else has to connect via a cable.

Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6 DHam Production to End in January
It's just a shame because only a couple years ago everybody's view of Cadillac was that they're 7 tiers above Lincoln and now they're struggling to compete with anything Lincoln has come out with recently. Granted, some of that is Lincoln escalating their portfolio but, a lot of it is Cadillac laying down. It's still sold outside of the US.

I mean, I understand it but, if you're trying to rebuild a luxurious reputation, you are going to have to take losses until the brand catches fire and gains(regains) its reputation. This just doesn't seem like the direction Cadillac should be heading. It's just a feeling they're almost "giving up" and letting the Germans stay up top. They seemed like they were in a really good spot with the most recent generation and these new generations should have built upon those instead of feeling like they're going backward.

It blows my mind they only gave this like two years before announcing it was canceled.

Ask Me Anything: 2020 Hyundai Palisade AWD
That's acceptable to me. I definitely do disagree that the amber light does nothing. Unless you have poor vision, it isn't difficult to see the only light on a mirror in which you're already looking at before changing lanes. I like that. It isn't intrusive in any way unless you're about to make a move in that direction in which it makes sure you are aware.

If I'm driving in a straight line and my car is going off with alerts every time somebody passes me or I pass somebody on the interstate, I'm turning that crap off. That sounds annoying. I'm perfectly okay with the little amber light in the corner of a side mirror as I'm turning my head anyway.

That is true but it "supposedly" came from somebody at GM("Senior GM source") .

You don't need to turn off my backup sensors every time in my Lincoln. If you opt to turn them off, they're off until you turn them back on. The lane keeping and auto braking stuff was the same in the MKX I drove for a couple days, turn it off and it stays off until you turn them back on. @Drew Dowdell, are there any brands that you can think of that auto-turn back on every time the vehicle is started? If you only want to hear about the one vehicle in question, threads would barely be a page long, if you can't compare it to anything. It'd be boring as F.

I think a light on the side mirror is plenty adequate. I don't want my car beeping or flashing on the dash every time I pass somebody or somebody passes me.

It isn't about cannibalizing sales. It was about saving money. https://www.motortrend.com/news/new-cadillac-escalade-ct5-v-no-blackwing-v8/ It's amazing how far those two companies have come(Hyundai/Kia). It says a lot coming from somebody who drives as many things as you do.

I can almost guarantee nobody representing Hyundai has ever publicly stated they are emulating anything Cadillac, and there's no reason to do so. Cadillac is making less and less competitive vehicles and Hyundai and Genesis are quickly rising. I don't believe they have an XT7 coming until I see it. It's been said they're trying to cut costs over at Cadillac and that's why the XT6 is on a FWD platform instead of Omega, like it was originally planned. That's also why the CT5-V isn't getting the new 4.2, nor Escalade.

Go and do a little research on the site. You'll find out how much we're sidekicks. Regardless, it's pathetic any Cadillac is even being compared to a Hyundai, not even a Genesis.

Well, I'm comparing similarly sized vehicles in an overlapping class. And yeah, more often than not, @surreal1272 and myself are disagreeing on things... We're as much sidekicks as the Yankees and Red Sox. I guess a common .. uhh .. thing .. can unite anybody.

@Drew Dowdell Palisade or XT6? The XT6 is most certainly a signature Cadillac, FWD Chevy at the heart of it.

It all comes down to traction and a dually F350 will weigh more with more traction. Both make plenty of torque. An 8500lb F350 would toss around the lighter Cybertruck. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15105555/2015-ford-f-350-super-duty-v-8-diesel-4x4-test-review/
