I don't use premium but I seek out a Top Tier station every single time. The only times I don't is if they're an unreasonable distance out of my way which I think only happened once with the Focus.

How often do you change your oil?
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Product Questions and Reviews
When I buy a car I know the dealerships change it so i wait until the next 5,000 mile interval and then stick to every 5,000 miles. For Example, my MKC has 37,xxx miles on it and when I hit 40,000 I'll change it and then every 5,000 from there. It's the easiest to remember and even the most basic of oils will last 5,000 miles. I've been using Pennzoil Platinum or Mobil 1. I bought a box of the "shop" Fram Ultra filters(gold can). It's a Fram Ultra but they're sold in bulk only(they're not supposed to be sold to the public but people on ebay get their hands on them). They usually sell for about $9 a piece and buying them in bulk was about $6.30, I believe. -
BMW News: 2019 BMW X7 Joins the Large 3-Row Luxury Crossover Fight
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
Well, yes. My point in using the Tahoe as an example was that it is larger than a X7 but the area behind the rear seat does not look much larger, at all. The reviewer saying they can't fit two carry on bags and backpacks behind the 3rd row would also struggle behind the 3rd row of a Tahoe.- 47 replies

BMW News: 2019 BMW X7 Joins the Large 3-Row Luxury Crossover Fight
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in BMW
I can't help but think they're either full of sh!t or their carry on's are larger than a carry on is supposed to be. It's not going to be as wide as a Tahoe but it sure doesn't look like it's any tighter back there than in a Tahoe.- 47 replies

FWIW, there isn't much space behind most 3rd rows, even in the big boys. Tahoe Explorer Durango Traverse- 47 replies

The highlighting to quote part works. ?
-
Those are two different things you just said. Does the entire segment look cheap or is it just not as good as CPO vehicles? Obviously a CPO luxury vehicle "above" these is going to be better but I don't think anything about a C Class is cheaply made or looks cheap.

^ Same here. Similar situation with highlighting somebody's text to quote them.

Well, I don't like their other "Gran Coupes". I can't imagine shorter proportions are going to make this look good, look at Escala -> CT5.

Thanks, I had just never heard it described like that before. I don't keep up on my design language language.

Don't all the major luxury brands pretty much have that same exact setup? Turbo-4 Hybrid Turbo-6
-
I don't mind the coupe-styling on 4 door cars but maybe this is just too short or the design language doesn't match it. Maybe it would look better longer? I think it looks great looking at the front. I think it looks great looking from the rear. But, I think it looks a little awkward at most any other angle.

If I had all the money in the world I would ask Lincoln to make me a custom mashup of these three colors. i think if they were done correctly it would be the most pretty interior ever. I don't know exactly how they'd be mashed up but I think the red would be the main color, second most used would be white, and smaller accents in the blue.
-
It's amazing how color alone can completely make or break an interior. The top pic just doesn't look good. The design doesn't look good. Then you look at the bottom on with dark brown(saddle-looking color) contrasting with the black looks worlds better and the whole design just looks better. Same design, same shapes, but adding contrasting colors makes such a difference.

Lol it looks like nothing special under there. It looks identical to the 2.0T and I'm pretty sure the 1.5T in the Escape as well. I used to prefer all black but the last couple of years I've fallen in love with browns. I prefer darker rather than a tan. Almost any color looks good as long as it is mixed with a good contrasting color, imo.

Thank you very much! I'm pretty dang stoked about it so far. I was originally looking for 2017 Escape Titaniums and just randomly looked at MKCs assuming they would be too pricey but 2016's were about the same price. 2017 Escape's got the upgraded 2.0T and refreshed body and in 2016 MKC and Escape got Sync3 and those were musts for me for either vehicle. Thanks! The dark brown is tits to me, love that.

Well, I finally found what I’ve been looking for, in my price range. This past Saturday I picked up a 2016 Lincoln MKC. 37,460 miles, $21,000, 2.3T engine with AWD. Upgraded real leather seats in dark brown and cream that I absolutely love. It had auto-high beams that I was skeptical about how well they flip off then back on and they’re surprisingly fantastic. As soon as any headlights show up in front of my they flip off, be it just over a hill or a mile ahead of me. Neat. Classic Ford, I already have to hit up my local dealership because the exterior thermostat is reading waaaay off(like -35F) therefor also throwing off the temp thst throws out the HVAC. It’s still under warranty and if it wasn’t I’d be dealing with the dealership I bought it from, well I’m doing that anyway incase it becomes lemon-worthy. I want them to know about it right away. They also legally had to instal the front plate bracket.. they said they were going to do it and I asked them not to but because IL is a front plate state they weren’t allowed to let it leave without the bracket on. I’m going to see if they drilled the bumper or if it was mounted through the grille this weekend to see if I can take it off.

Mercedez Benz News Maybach to Build SUV in Alabama
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Mercedes-Benz
I never said they were "just a Silverado". If youi're going to quote me, just quote what I actually said. Yes, I know all of this. It's a completely redressed up Silverado the same way the Expedition is a completely redressed F150.- 33 replies
