  1. That's one badass car. Looks, performance, it's just great. Already sold out... GOT DERN IT!
  2. Yeah, that's a very good point. While Lincoln has done a lot wrong in the past decade..or three.. Eliminating some of the badging on the back of the MKC is nice. They got rid of the "ecoboost"badge and I believe that was done across their lineup, I just haven't looked.
  3. "To further complicate things, V-Series will have V badging but will not bear a torque figure. Why? In part because the number is too large. The CT6-V, for example, with the 4.2-liter twin-turbo Blackwing V-8 engine generates 550 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque or 850 Nm."
  4. Also, 271 ft-lb = 367 Nm. I think rounding up by that much is also ridiculous.. Everything else has forced induction, right? Oh I forgot about the N/A 6.2 in the 'Slade.
  5. This is stupid. Not quite as stupid as Audi's new naming scheme but it's pretty terrible. If they'd just ditch the n/a 3.6 they could stick to the old school displacement number.
  6. THE SUPERIOR PHONES! ..Triggered.. ? But, in all seriousness, that is absolutely correct. That's why I've loved my iPhones.
  7. Average Jane and Joe who don't give a crap about automobiles don't want complexity. They want it quick and simple.
  8. Wow, that's terrible, imo. Horrible way to integrate AWD. That was my only question, does it retain the setting for the next time the vehicle is started. If it does, I see zero issue with it. If it defaults to 2WD every time, I wouldn't like that.
  9. There are plenty out there now. Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, and Audi at the "reasonable" price range. Each of them have at least two that I can think of. Well, Audi only has one, SQ5. It isn't an RS but 349hp/379tq in a compact SUV is pretty dang stout.
  10. Sorry, like I said, it was looking at sales. http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2019/01/small-and-midsize-luxury-car-sales-in-america-december-2018/
  11. ??‍♂️ I agree, anything over 50k is expensive for an automobile to me. I was just pointing out the 3.6 +AWD can be had at a "reasonable" price as well, not just the 2.0T. CT6 is classified as a mid-size sedan.. I don't know if they're wasteful on the interior volume or what but it gets classified with the CTS when I'm looking at sales ??‍♂️
  12. His says $99 Weekly. I had to do some small font reading because it didn't make sense to me. $99 a WEEK. It doesn't seem that special of a price.
  13. Hmmm.. I'm not a huge fan of it not saving the setting but it isn't the worst thing in the world. However, I think for most people buying these it should default to AWD.
  14. Having the option is nice but if it does not save the setting for the next start, that would drive me nuts.
  15. I agree that more options is always welcomed but it seems like an odd thing to make an option. I don't know much about the GM system but does it default to on or off when you turn the vehicle on? Does it retain the setting for the next time you start the vehicle?
  16. Yeah, if it is compared to those it sells very poorly. E Class/CLS: 46,424 5 Series: 43,937 I agree it is expensive buuuuut a CT6 3.6 + AWD starts at 54,990.
  17. Ahhh okay, I get them mixed up as I'm not much of a Lexus fan. Thank you!
  18. Yeah, I was just sticking to the vehicles mentioned but that Lincoln has been selling disappointingly as well. I don't know much about Lexus/Toyota, is the LS a rebadged Avalon?
  19. ^ That was per goodcarbadcar.com's numbers.
  20. I was curious so I had to look them up... CT6: 9,669 7 Series: 8,271 S Class: 14,978 A7: 3,852 A8: 1,599 ? Nearly 10,000 units of CT6 isn't bad at all entering a segment the S Class owns and is very established.
  21. Exactly, these expensive trims with base engines just don't sell. Nobody spending that kind of coin wants a little 2.0T engine in their luxury barge.
  22. That's how STL is run as well.. It's a really weak effort, for the most part. I go when I can but there is rarely anything truly NEW there. I remember two vehicles that stood out to me before they were on dealer lots and one was the Challenger and the other was the 2019 Ram 1500.
  23. They also make it public that they're making the changes. I don't recall Ford, GM, Mercedes, or anybody else making these kinds of press releases three or four times a year. That seems so absurdly stupid that it's funny to me.
  24. I would agree. I was just stating that while he thought the ML fit what was being discussed didn't really fit his description of "full-size". I think what @balthazar said as "first influential" would be a better describer than "first ever" for a lot of things. I still do not think the ML fits that, fwiw.
