  1. Almost all sport/supersport bikes have clip on handle "bars" that sit much lower than a standard or nakes sport bike. A standard/nakes sport bike has "regular" handle bars like a bicycle Naked sport bikes also usually have a slightly detuned engine offering more mid range and less top end. The pegs are lower for a more confortable ride without having your knees and elbows touch(unless you're @dfeltand your elbows and knees touch on a Goldwing! ?). Clip on's vs handlebars. You can see there's at least 2-3 inches difference in riding position of your hands alone.
  2. It's only a sprint to 60mph. 0.3 is pretty huge in that short amount of time. I think the gap at the end of a drag strip would be much greater.
  3. Tesla hasn't been around for generations with manufacturing plants building towns and supporting generations of families. That's why there is uproar when they layoff/fire people. Also, for the record, I'm not taking sides here. I'm just pointing out why there isn't uproar when a small company doesn't get the same flak as a massive one.
  4. I think the large grille on the 7 Series looks good but not the X7.
  5. YUP! I actually think it works,.in a weird way. It's a little obnoxious in that color but I think the off center emblem and "grille" look pretty cool.
  6. A little something to get @dfelt a little excited. Ford F-150 EV
  7. Absolutely. The state is fckd.
  8. Yup, good ole IL is #2. I wouldn't live here if finding a job and moving were super easy.
  9. I can't agree more! The most I've had was $279/month for me Escape. As long as it is under $300 I don't mind it and I still feel like I'm in control of the loan and not worried about not having the money to ever pay for it. My current Focus is $114/month.
  10. Absolutely. Not everybody has a family income of 100k. It isn't uncommon for younger people to start making 30k out of college with monster loans. Seriously? This is average? ?
  11. These are equally similar to each other as the Mercedes, BMW, and Audi lineups..
  12. We got about 10-12 last weekend and we're supposed to get a few more this weekend. I think it's estimated around 4-8 inches.. but with ice to start.. I think all of last year/season we got under 8 inches. Usually we get more than that. I think last year was either a record low for a season or very close to a record for STL.
  13. Plus, aren't all of these electronically limited in the first 2 gears so you don't get all 900-1000 torques anyway?
  14. They could just update them to get at least modern efficiency out of them. Is that a lot to ask for? The Silverado and F150 smoke the 5.7 in performance and they're the same or better in fuel economy ratings(with the 6.2 and 3.5EB). I bet if they did this people wouldn't really bat an eye and they'd love it. I don't really understand the fascination with straight 6's but it seems like people love them for some reason.
  15. No, but those high hp versions are only in SRT vehicles. Also, this is a 6.4 putting out 410hp, fwiw. I also don't think the phrase, "The Hemi is capable of delivering more HP than any other street engine out there" is accurate.. It isn't like the 840hp engine is just the 375hp engine with a supercharger with zero modifications done to it. They build it as necessary, as would any other company. Just in the same way GM didn't just put a massive blower on the 6.2 to make 755hp. They built the engine knowing it will be 755hp with the necessary components. But yes, these are dated int he sense that they aren't the most powerful(the ones not in SRTs) and they aren't efficient. They're a mix of "okay".
  16. This will be a very good car. I have no doubt in that. I just doubt it will be 50k good.
  17. There's no vehicle they offer that has 5 HEMI options.
  18. There still won't be a road legal version of the Rivian on the road in 12 months.. is my prediction.
  19. Until these EV startup companies have something to sell and they pass safety requirements they're completely insignificant to me. All fluff no substance yet.
  20. The Rivian will be a joke next to a Power Wagon.
  21. I don't see how that looks dated at all. And nothing like a Buick. Yes.
