  1. They're going to put a 4 banger in their Silverado but not hybrid tech in a Sierra..?
  2. That's just ignorant talk trying to downplay a company.
  3. Nah, all of the modern LED lighting makes none of them look old to me.
  4. True but the Colorado seems like it's better by a larger margin and AMERICAN company selling trucks. I just expected the twins to have more of a negative sales effect on the Taco. As a Taco fan, I'm glad a better truck came out as competition.
  5. I also feel like that could be said for every singly luxury branded vehicle ever created. I'm impressed their sales never dipped when the objectively better GM twins hit the market.
  6. It's funny you try and single Mercedes out as if Audi, BMW, Jag, Lexus, Acura, and Cadillac don't all use the same formula for their family of vehicles.
  7. I don't see the issue because it sold and sold for incredible prices.. ??‍♂️ It still did all the luxury and off-road stuff, it was just rough around the edges.
  8. 2018 vs 2019 G Wagen "What's the difference between the 2018 and 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class? Well, if you're talking about styling, the answer is "barely anything." They look exactly the same. If you're talking about everything else, though, the answer is "virtually everything." There are only five parts that carry over to the new 2019 G-Class from its predecessor: The door handles, spare tire cover, sun visors, headlight washer nozzles and a bracket somewhere you can't actually see. The term "all-new" is often overused, but this is really as "all-new" as you can get." " It's 2.1 inches longer, 3 inches wider and its wheelbase has been spread by 1.6 inches. It didn't really get any taller, which is probably for the best. Thanks to an increased use of lighter-weight materials, about 375 pounds was also shaved from its curb weight."
  9. I'm right there with you @dwightlooi I've never bought a new vehicle and honestly never plan to out of value as well but I do know that enthusiasts always ask for these specific cars and then when automakers cancel them for poor sales.."we" wonder why. And all the crazy SUV/CUV boom, enthusiasts seem to hate but they refuse to buy new stuff to actually influence automakers. We essentially have no voice in the market yet we care the most about the market..
  10. 2019 G Wagen 550: 13/17/14 (city/highway/comb) 2019 Land Cruiser: 13/18/15 (city/highway/comb) Miles per gallon.
  11. I watched a review where they pointed out that the exposed screws weren't there anymore.
  12. Just the exterior styling.. Aren't all the body panels, chassis, transmission, interior all new?
  13. It would actually be tough for me. I like the smaller size of the G Wagen and I don't really want a 3rd row. This is all assuming money was no issue. If money were a concern.. I'd actually just get a Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged(starts at 86k so comparably priced to the 84k LC)
  14. 4.7L V8: 278hp, 5spd auto trans 5.7L V8: 381hp, 8spd auto trans Just kidding.. the 5.7 was introduced in 2008(making 381hp). Looking further into it, it appears this is basically the same from 2008 to now. Wiki says 2007-present but maybe that was global and in 2008 it was new here. The biggest mechanical difference is in 2008 it had a 6spd auto and now it has an 8spd auto.
  15. Oh damn, of course it would have to be this weekend! I'm leaving for Iowa for a niece's baptismal. Not sure if you cared but the STL atuo show is this weekend as well. I'm not sure how close your local show is
  16. You're going to be in St Louis??
  17. Oh yeah. I dig the darker colored, non-chrome grille...a lot.
  18. Yep, the AT4 looks fantastic.
  19. I definitely do not think this is Cadillac's best effort. I don't know how anybody could think otherwise.
