  1. Luckily, 99.9% of driving doesn't involve the limits that a car has an advantage at.
  2. There isn't much performance a CUV loses to in a Malibu, Fusion, or Impala.. Yeah, there's a Fusion Sport as an outlier.
  3. Yeah one of my best friends had an HHR SS. That was one quick little sh!t.
  4. Facts.. It's honestly disappointing they don't have more SS versions. I get they might not be profitable and you can't do it to everything but with 'Nox and Cruze sales it would be pretty cool to have those offerings. I know I would be in on an equinox SS. I'm not sure what they would cram in it or just turn the wick up on the 2.0T but a 300hp/325tq Equinox would be hot. I just thought of this.. They have the new 2.7T they could drop in there.. although it's probably not designed for FWD. That would be perfect though.
  5. "SS" sedan was the name of the vehicle. I wouldn't count that as a performance trim. The Trailblazer or Cobalt were the last ones that I can think of. They no longer offer the first year base engines and roll out performance versions. That hasn't been done in a decade and everything has been new since then.
  6. Doesn't Subaru offer pretty good AWD systems as well? Also, that's one thing that does grind my gears about Jeep is that they have like 3 or 4 different AWD/4WD systems for the Grand Cherokee. Some are great and some are as weak as the Blazer..
  7. What was the last vehicle they offered an SS version that wasn't a Camaro?
  8. Absolutely. there just isn't a sedan that makes me want it over a comparable SUV/CUV. I either want a sporty coupe or an SUV/CUV/truck. I just don't really care about sedans.
  9. I'm not even upset sedans are going away because I currently have no interest in buying one.
  10. Nice, they're trying to sell cars like Kohls sells clothes.
  11. I think this is a positive evolution.
  12. Definitely. The Trail Hawk was just a tad under 45k as well and nothing else in that class of SUV/CUV can touch it off the beaten path. I didn't even include any of the SRT versions. I thought they were pretty obviously going to cost more than 45k.
  13. While I agree the Blazer is priced ridiculously the Edge ST and Grand Cherokee easily surpass 45k. A Grand Cherokee Overland($48,745), High Altitude($51,240), and Summit($55,040) are all above 45k in 2WD and 4WD. 4WD prices are what I typed out.
  14. This isn't a global bike platform? If not, why in the hell wouldn't it be? This is their first production electric bike and they didn't make a global platform? That makes no sense to me at all.
  15. Well this won't sell at 30k.
  16. Yeah just tweaks to the front and rear. I don't think the '15's looked aged yet but the '14's look almost 20 years older.
  17. True but they also cut prices to compensate some of that. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a25725993/tesla-price-cut-model-3/
  18. You might not like the Edge, and that's fine, but I don't see how it looks "exactly" like the EcoSport. I don't find the new Chevy and Ford offerings as questionable.. They seem perfectly acceptable in the CUV-heavy market.
  19. Ford HD Platinum has earned their brand recognition of a work horse. They have earned their right to price them at 100k. Well, this company will successfully sell 3 trucks. 100k truck market, HD market, green market. They've successfully narrowed the market down so small. FWIW, a fully loaded F450 Limited is 90k before adding the ticky tack add-ons.
  20. Tesla didn't introduce a 100% concept until they had their feet under them slightly with some brand recognition. Remember, their first vehicle was a modified Lotus crammed with batteries and motors. Who in their right mind drops 100k on a fully electric HD truck? There's no way the 35k towing/5000lb payload is going to be even close to "affordable" for 99% of the people in the market for an HD truck.
  21. It's another company that's all smoke and mirrors until there's a product on the road owned by anybody who isn't on the board. Anybody can take preorders and never return the cash once the company $h!s the bed. Tesla.. Where have you been?
  22. Another EV concept.. I'll wait to be excited until they actually produce them. 35k towing capacity? Yeah, right.
  23. They're just nice entry/exit heights.. Trucks aren't the same. My dad's Taco I have to step up into and jump out of a bit and it's stock height. Getting in and out of that isn't as nice as I feel like it should be for a "small" truck.
  24. I'm still on the younger side of life and getting in and out of a smaller SUV/CUV is much preferred than getting out of my Focus. I thought my Escape's seat height was perfect for my height. The step in and out was almost exactly my standing height so I didn't step up or down to get in and out of it. I want another.
