That's what I would expect. They made it pretty clear the 2.7T was a truck engine and it would be awkward to then throw it in a Cadillac CUV after saying that.
-
The angle of that screen looks awkward.. I'd definitely need to see and fiddle with that in person. Good little write up! I always forget what size this is compared to.. Is this like a CRV/Escape/'Nox sized vehicle or is it really smal like a GLA/X1? It doesn't look tiny so my assumptions are CRV/Escape/'Nox.

How did this take them so long? They've been on lots for about two months now. This. Looks. Great.

This still looks better than the 2019's.

I'm not sure if I have any pictures of my 1995 Beretta Z26 but I can sure try and look.

Part of the impressiveness of putting an F1 engine into a road car would be making it legal. Any engineering team can literally put the engine into a car. The complex part is making EVERYTHING work.

Does BMW even have a truly modern V12? Is it ancient like Mercedes'?- 47 replies

My OE continentals(ContiProContacts) on my Escape and also Focus aren't the best in the snow. Starting from a stop isn't terrible but braking is a little sketchy and I feel them give away a little quicker than I feel confident in when turning as well. They're "adequate" at best. It scares me knowing how many people have those on their car in the snow as they're an OE tire.
-
The ExtremeContact DWS were fantastic in the snow on my Mercedes. I would always suggest those as an all-season that sees some snow time. They're not an LRR tire but if you're looking for good snow traction I don't think there is that combination on a good all-season. Fantastic for an all-season*
-
I think I read somewhere that the blends start in the end of September in some places and slowly spreads from then. I's wager the Contis were a LRR tire whereas the Triple Treads are not.

How long does the swab process take?

That was/is my ONLY issue legalizing it in the first place. I think they needed to figure out a way to accurately test on the side of the road before it should have been legalized. I also noticed this never says DUI(or DWI - depending on your state's wording) are increased. It just says crashes are up. They could very well be making a correlation out of nothing at all. If DUIs are causing all 6% of increased crashes..they're absolutely on to something here. Just saying crashes are up 6% since legalization might be extremely misleading.

My god do I hate that people think AWD is some crazy miracle worker. It's great to have but it still needs to have adequate traction to the ground. I don't think it would be bad if they gave it some on-road nuts like an SS version or Z#####. Just a basic CUV seems pretty lame.. It seems like a good vehicle just a little boring.

Yeah if I lived somewhere that got zero inches of snow I wouldn't want AWD either. Getting snow I would just feel like a huge jackass getting stuck in an SUV.

Do they though? Tesla 3 interior BMW 3 interior Bolt interior volume: 94 cubic ft. HR-V interior volume 100 cubic ft. Well I know that.. That's why they sell them in the first place. But if they're trying to get the technology out to people it just feels like something that would start smaller with much larger volumes before a much larger 3-rower. GM with their fckn Kohls sales model. ?

I think it will be a little bit yet before there is a 3-row full size SUV that's pure EV. I think they'd want to get the volume vehicles first but that's just what my brain says.. It doesn't have any form of statistics or studies in front of it.

Right?!? I thought about looking into a used one as a toy last week and thought I'd look up what can be done to get about 200whp and a couple grand gets you almost jack sh!t?!? Super disappointing. Does your future toy need to have a back seat? I would think the Mustang's V8 would make it an easy sell to the kiddos...less so to the wifey...

I'm so disappointed in the BRZ... I think they're great looking cars but I looked into getting more power out of them and they're basically dogs unless you throw boost at them and that's disappointing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWcGW-wlOEg

I'm pretty sure CAFE has to do with footprint and that's why vehicles have gotten larger and not smaller. @Drew Dowdell(It won't allow me to tag anybody else for some reason) but doesn't CAFE have to do with the footprint of the vehicle as well as the fuel economy? Isn't that why we need a CAFE score of like 50mpg and not literally 50mpg.
