  1. Well, if there were winners and losers here you would be in the losers column. The whole point of this blew over your head. I never asked if they compete or what class they're in. They've both on the same mid size crossover platform and I only asked about their looks.
  2. Well, pretty simple, who wore it better?
  3. Unless the styling is spot on to your eyes, I don't see a reason to buy this over a JGC or an Edge. Second thought, I forgot about Ford's old and lame n/a 3.5 as a middle engine next to the GM 3.6. On that end, the Blazer is better but both Jeep and Ford offer more powertrain options, and better ones, IMO.
  4. It's also an Edge, Fusion, and MKX motor.
  5. Completely agree. It just seems really odd to use a n/a 4 banger in something this size. They're taking the Kia Sorento and Highlander approach offering a n/a 4 banger. They are offering more power & torque than those two. I think those are the only three offering those base engines. It seems weird to me. I think they could have done a 2.0T that they already have in-house and tune it for efficiency with something like 225hp and 250tq and it still leaves plenty of room for the upcharged 3.6 with 310hp/266tq... The 3800 would be a better choice! 200hp 230tq would be almost perfect for a base engine. The Traverse has the 2.0T as an option.
  6. Ya know I knew it downsized but I thought the Traverse did too.
  7. I didn't know Acadia and Traverse changed in sizes. I thought they were still twins. My baaaaad. (that's number 4 on his list ?)
  8. Because they have the Traverse.
  9. Pretty sharp looking vehicle. I'm not sure about the doors but it's a concept so they might not stick.
  10. The 2.5 is not a great choice for..either.. Less than 200hp, less than 200tq. The Acadia probably can't get out of its own way. This will be better as it's smaller
  11. Why does the Acadia have a base 2.5 and the Traverse has a base 3.6? The optional engine on the Traverse is the 2.0T and optional engine at GMC is the 3.6...?
  12. First glance instantly reminded me of the Lexus "predator" fascia like @smk4565 said. But why the n/a 2.5???? If this is a JGC and Edge competitor it's way behind on the engine lineup.
  13. Correct. Consumers absorb the price increase.
  14. I believe the goal is just a level playing field as we pay waaaay more in tariffs that others pay to sell their stuff here.
  15. That's where I figured the loophole was... Globally they've had a diesel option in every car, I'm assuming. I have a feeling they know their past products a little better than we do.
  16. They could get the power numbers they need with the 2.0 but it would be a dog on fuel to the point it isn't even worth it.
  17. Yeah if i lived somewhere different and used the extra goodies, I would definitely want that. ORRRRR I'd still want the more "road-ready" JGC and try and invest in a Wrangler as a toy anyway... ??‍♂️
  18. See, with a JGC I would prefer to just have the street tires and Overland package because it would be capable enough for me as a JGC with 4WD. I don't need whatever makes it a Trailhawk and I'd rather it just look classy rather than "cool"(if that's the right terminology).
  19. I think it's more cool than poser. I mean it really can do some off road stuff, right? I think the Renegade Trailhawk is poser but not the JGC.
  20. It's a much larger vehicle so it has a chance to sell at a premium over a GLS.
  21. All of this China talk got me thinking.. What's gas cost in China? when converted to US Dollars and US gallons it appears they've been between $4.10-$4.40/gallon in 2018
  22. Weird that you had to order a 2.0T CT6. There actually happened to be one in the parking garage at work one day, it had the 2.0T badge on it.
  23. All of that and you don't even say the name of the car you drove?!? VERY good review though. I always enjoy your thorough reviews.
  24. Sales still don't necessarily mean better car...
