Interesting options as a cab driver. I wonder if Joe Schmo could buy one o these and use it as an Uber or Lyft driver?

Lexus News: The Uncertain Future of the Lexus GS and IS

Have you opened your eyes and looked at a Lexus? You might find them ugly but you can't say those front fascias aren't creative or imaginative. -
Lexus News: The Uncertain Future of the Lexus GS and IS
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Lexus
The cars that Lexus would be dropping aren't A or B class cars. Mercedes only makes one bad product, CLA. Everything else is competing for or already best in class. I agree with that to a degree. But, I feel like the mainstream cars that are doing that has a lot to do with aerodynamic efficiency as they're a more "slippery" design and fuel economy is key for the Ford, Chevy, Honda, etc. buyers. Well, they are the worst segment of automobile on the planet. Hideous. Just absolutely HIDEOUS. -
Hahaha, that's funny because that's the picture they even used. That blue and white is beautiful. MORE PICS OF THAT CAR!

tesla autopilot Testing company shows why Tesla autopilot crashes so much
ccap41 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Tesla
I guess I meant it isn't fast enough to not be able to react if in "regular" driving mode. I understand if you're in an autopilot-like mode you're not going to be 100% conscious of the road. You just aren't. You might be looking out the windshield but you're not just waiting for something to have to react to. And if you are, then why even use the system if you're THAT attentive? -

I'm curious what they are going to do with that and how they plan to get it out.

tesla autopilot Testing company shows why Tesla autopilot crashes so much

Makes sense but that's not faster than one can react if they were watching the road. -
I had to look it up and it was built from 1985-1988. It also sold for $480M in 2012. Edit: Wrong Washington Mutual building sold for $480M in 2012 While an attractive building it is nowhere near as cool as the era of buildings the one Ford just bought. The design of stone/marble is so much more elegant and beautiful than anything modern can touch. Yes, modern stuff is "cool" but old stuff is beautiful.
-
What's the name of this building? I can't seem to find it.
-
All new buildings are built with more glass than this and zero stone like this. Can you imagine how good this front entry way will look once it's just cleaned up???
-
Nothing will ever be built looking like this building again. Save what can be saved. Plus, they can make this building probably just as efficient as any other building when going through and redoing everything. And it'll look way more awesomer. Yeah, they should spend an absurd about of money to build a whole new building covered in glass, like everyone else.
-
This is an awesome move because old building are timeless. They have aged so well and this looks like it will be one of them. *worries about how efficient a building is* **Shows all glass buildings** ??

So if we lost ~10% of auto sales but increased the cash coming in, it works for the government. Lose 10% sales, increase 25% tariff. It sounds like a net win for government cash flow.

This was the color green I assumed you meant. It fits the vehicle so well. -

I like that most enthusiasts do tend to buy used(myself absolutely included!) yet we are the same ones asking for different colors and then say we couldn't find X vehicle in a different color used.. I think this would look ? in a dark green/dark blue/maroon. Apparently, they just don't sell as much in those colors. -

Those "Performance" wheels look AWESOME! Most people are buying on the white to black scale so it makes sense to limit their costs to the main colors people buy. I don't know the colors of everybody's vehicles but how many here own a color outside of the white to black scale? -

I know you'd disagree.. There is nothing better for everything than a Cadillac Escalade!! You're also comparing something that is like a 20k+ difference in price. LOL just kidding... 27k vs 75k. ? -

Well they never gave any public numbers on it. They just said it's coming and gave us info on what it will do. That's like saying Ford and GM shouldn't talk about future EV products until they're shipping to dealership lots, kind of an absurd thing to think. -

But, in all seriousness, you don't believe interior measurements. The Escalade is always the biggest and roomiest in every scenario. -

What kind of differences for road trips are there? I haven't driven either of the vehicles but I would wager the new Pacifica is quieter and offers a softer ride than a BOF truck with a solid rear axle. -
