  1. Oh I know they needed cash and they took care of it. My point was just that "ford would be dead if..." Well, the whole D3 would be dead "if" not for *insert a any one of a few things here*. I know it wasn't some miracle of management but foreseeing a sh!tstorm and preparing for it vs not preparing for it is usually preferred. Ford absolutely is in a worse way today because they're paying off loans.
  2. Interesting they would say this publicly but it doesn't surprise me one bit.
  3. Do they not put the engine in its optimal rpm range for fuel economy though?
  4. It happens to me as well..lol Yeah I think this is why CVT's are growing in popularity. They offer the versatility that a fixed ratio transmission just can't.
  5. Without having the Ranger out yet, I still prefer the Taco. A lot of that is looks alone. It has a more rugged truck look to it. The interior looks better to me and being shorter their low seat works for me. I could understand a taller person wouldn't like the seating position because it does have a higher floor and you sit more in a car-like driving position. I'm very skeptical with the Ranger only offering a turbo-4. It would have been really nice to see a detuned 2.7T or the new 3.3 n/a v6.
  6. None of the interiors look 50k worthy, if you ask me.
  7. I was about to say.. All of the mid-sizers can touch 50k if you opt for every option on the highest trim. I added everything I could to a Lariat(4X4, SuperCrew Cab) and it came out to this, even the more pricey paint.
  8. https://shop.ford.com/build/ranger/#/config/Config[|Ford|Ranger|2019|1|1.|301A.R4F.....914.76E.CAB.RETAIL.99H.AWD.44U.XLT.] Hopefully that works. That'd be pretty neat.
  9. I never closed the tab yesterday so it's still active for me lol Yeah, that's absurd.
  10. I built one how I would want it yesterday.
  11. Yeah, when my Escape got wrecked my rental was a Yaris. It was a big ole POS.
  12. I like the idea of electrics as daily drivers but I still love the sound of an internal combustion engine still.. I understand they're worse in most every way but sound is a pretty big aspect of a vehicle to an enthusiast. 300hp Mustang with a V8 and manual trans or 600hp EV Mustang I'd want the slower, manual trans, V8 car still.
  13. Oh yeah because Buick was the world's leader in coupe sales just a year or two ago.
  14. I was just cracking a joke because I knew it'd rile you up..lol But in all seriousness, there is nothing about Buick that says, "I'm a real luxury brand".
  15. They are fantastic deals to be had! Too bad nothing from Buick even remotely interests me...
  16. I think that's his whole point. They still have 2017's because they can't move them unless there are huge discounts. Cars sitting on lots for 1-2 years..it bad.
  17. The deer on the college campus I go to are nuts. They have no fear and know nobody will screw with them. I've seen them right in the middle of campus just munching on grass probably only 100ft or so away from a building. I've almost hit dozes of them next to the road. It's crazy, their population and carelessness on campus.
  18. Ours needs her nails cut more than her hair trimmed. Te GF does hair for a living so she typically can trim her hair well enough but we're scared to do her nails and accidentally cut them too short.
  19. It makes sense to use it but I think it should have been something like a hybrid and twin turbo setup or something like Volvo's supercharged and(in this case) twin turbo. Or maybe hybrid, supercharged, and turbocharged. I think these three "powers" are terrible use of the trademark. Exactly my thinking. A decade ago they were tacky badge-job vehicles. They've distinguished themselves much better now.
