Sounds like what i already said... His objective wasn't to slap huge tariffs on other countries but to make both trades fair. There's no reason there should be a 2.5% tariff on things imported from the EU and then stuff we send to the EU has a 10% tariff.

I don't even get the text box to type in.

Well, at least it isn't just me...Hahaha But it hasn't allowed me to comment on the sales threads for the last few months.

@Drew Dowdell is there a reason I can't comment on the monthly sales threads?

The back and forth with Ford is comical and entertaining. http://autoweek.com/article/other-news/ford-fires-back-tesla-twitter-war Ford also had a response to the "7000 cars . 7 Days ❤️Tesla Team❤️" with "7000 cars, circa 4 hours. ❤️Ford Team❤️"

Dodge News: 2019 Dodge Challenger Adds More Power, Silly Names
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
Prius Prime competes with the Volt. Since when did the Volt get an 84 mile EV only range? Also, wasn't this about Dodge and their lack of innovation? They're the only ones with no form of EV technology. Whether you agree or disagree with competing with the Bolt or Volt, there are pure EV, plug-in, and normal hybrids from all of the Japanese and German brands, which you said they didn't.- 18 replies

Dodge News: 2019 Dodge Challenger Adds More Power, Silly Names

What...? All of the German and Asian brands have hybrids and/or plug-in hybrids. Nobody has a Demon competitor but there are definitely cars that compete with the Corvette.- 18 replies

Industry News: Detroit Auto Show To Exit Winter Season in 2020

That's a good point. It does make sense to do it at a time of year when people are more willing to leave their homes and travel.- 10 replies

Dodge News: 2019 Dodge Charger Adds A Bit More Muscle
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
No, the article title is a little misleading. -
I've never negatively commented on Caddy's design, At least not in the way you're talking about it. I like their A&S styling, for the most part.

There's nothing wrong with its design though. It's clean and simple.

Or you just like the way it looks, which a lot of people buy based on.

That's the Challenger, not Charger. -
Dodge News: 2019 Dodge Charger Adds A Bit More Muscle
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
More muscle? I was hoping for a bump in something. Just using the same tune the "regular" v6 already has isn't much of adding anything. -
Not trying to back track again but... I do think smk is somewhat right about the JGC engines. I think they could perform quite a bit better with a turbo 4 and twin turbo 6. We all want V8 noises but the 5.7 really isn't anything other than a good noise maker compared to a TTv6. Keep the v8 or n/a v6 for those afraid of modern things. They could have a 275hp/300tq turbo 4 and a 375hp/400-425tq twin turbo v6.

They might be comfy but they aren't as easy to drive as most anything smaller than them.

Yes, sorry. 8spd! Recommended but 87 is fine as well, at least for the Ford, and according to the manual.

Exactly, and worse is that I do end to drive very conservatively so really the small engine in both vehicles would do the job 99% of the time. A couple things I like about the top engines is: sound for the 5.7! they can pass with ease(I don't often but when I do i don't like the wait I have now in my N/A Focus, and the potential to get more power out of them because I'm always looking to do things to my vehicles. The 9spd in the JGC is very intriguing as well over the 6spd in the Edge. I never had a turbo lag issue with my Escape so that likely wouldn't deter me with the 2.7 either but lag is lag and there would be more than a n/a 5.7, 'MURICAN, V8. I also only average 12,000 miles per year so fuel economy really shouldn't be a huge concern of mine but I'm cheap and I can't ignore added fuel costs.

That's the size I want as well, "mid size". I'll eventually go and drive a Grand Cherokee and Edge but I know I'd "need" the 5.7 in the Jeep and that's quite the gas guzzler... but is it much worse than the 2.7 in the Edge..? There is a local '16 Edge Sport that I want really bad but i know I don't need that.

I don't know if I would ever be comfortable driving something as large as these full size BOF SUVs. The're so damn big.
