AAA latest survey find 1 in 5 want an EV now!
Honestly, It's not uncommon for EVs to lose 30% range in the winter and that 150 mile theoretical range is now 105. That's too close for comfort for me.

Only the Bolt and Tesla can cover that easily, if my memory is accurate. They have too large of a difference between possible range and realistic range when using heat/AC in the winter and summer months and interstate driving isn't optimal for them either.

Next generation Escape wit supposed plug-in hybrid could be a money spot for me and possibly you if they offer it with AWD. Hahaha I know I was just being a big-ole-smartass.

Bought a new minivan
They really are, assuming that is. I've been in modern Odysseys and Siennas and they're incredibly nice with boat loads of room. When I worked in a shop we actually had a tougher time lifting modern vans than anything else just because they're so damn wide now.

What's California's population compared to the rest of the US? Sounds about right.. California is 12% of the us population so all we need is probably Oregon and Washington and that'd cover the 20% that want to buy EVs. Okay... That's only about 15.7% of the population still..

Not a pretty car but it seems to do its intended job quite well.

Industry News: Pedestrian Deaths in Car Crashes Are Rising
Isn't it dependent on the situation? A pedestrian can't sprint across any road at any time and expect to be able to go after the driver who hits them. If there is a crosswalk light and you walk through while it is red that is a ticket for the pedestrian and I would assume if they got hit they couldn't go after the driver(unless it was something weird where it was clearly intentional and no effort to stop or avoid).

I think that is so dependent on the scenario you can't say it's all drivers' fault or all pedestrians' faults. For instance, that autonomous Uber driver(or whatever company) that hit a lady.. The lady apparently came out of nowhere where there wasn't time to react even if an aware human was behind the wheel could have done anything. Then in Drew's case, the driver wasn't paying attention at all. I don't know what the split is but I feel like it's 95% because of phones for both parties.

That's intriguing. That's the only thing I'm not a fan of on that truck. The Colorado looks too soft for me while the Canyon looks great with its more squared off front end. Where'd you read this at?

Lincoln News: Lincoln: We're Still Committed to Cars
Yeah stop and go traffic, 50 mile commute and $4.20/gal add up pretty quick.. Yeah I don't mind people swearing them off. Everybody does it with their own least favorite brands anyway. Explain what this means. Give me a definition of a Honda hybrid not performing the way it is supposed to, please.

The Volt is ~4 inches shorter than a Cruze. My parents don't want a compact car let along one smaller than a compact car. Like I said, "near sub compact car". 1 vote only goes so far. You do the rest with your voting dollars which means more to politicians than anything else anyway. And there's nothing wrong with having an opinion on a given situation. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean he should "get over the history". He doesn't like how it was all handled so they won't get his money again. Pretty simple. He's not on any auto forums preaching to people what they should or shouldn't do.
