    This isn't out of the norm for any luxury automaker and even non-luxury vehicles. Look at all of the half ton trucks, for example. Chevy Colorado has a 30k price spread as well. Starts at $20,200 and can be built to over $50,000. Lexus GS starts at 46k and can be built to 90k. Yeah they're not at the top but they're pretty close and offer performance trims their competitors don't save for the SRT Jeeps. There also isn't one brand that has a class leader in all of those segments so that's kind of a moot statement as each automaker kind of mixes and matches who's atop on each segment. Just because the Fusion is going away doesn't mean it isn't a good car and still towards the top half of its segment and for being around for 6 years already, isn't a bad testament towards the car.

    There's nothing wrong with the Fusion, Edge, or Explorer either.

    Yeah those are pretty much reserved for considerably pricier hot hatch versions rather than just a larger engine in the same car. It would have been perfect if Ford would have offered the 2.0T in the Titanium trim along with the ST.

    YUP! "Mazda is predicting about 188 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque from the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-X. Today’s 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine, as fitted to the 3, makes 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque, putting the X on a similar plane as the uplevel 3’s 184-hp 2.5-liter four. Mazda further claims the X will be up to 30 percent more efficient than the smaller Skyactiv-G. We’ll try to confirm those claims when we eventually test a production-spec Skyactiv-X in about two years when the next-gen 3 reaches dealerships."

    Challenger does the B pillar best, it’s not there. I thought the Mustang was like that as well but it looks like it might be from that pic.

    Good idea of power output, 152hp. Thats enough as my Focus has 160 but me personally would like a middle ground to the hot hatches for a nice daily that can get out of its own way a little better. I’d like numbers like what Ford’s 1.5t put out in the 180hp/200tq range.

    They also made it in this disgusting color.. In the same year and same vehicle they made one of my favorite colors and one of the ugliest colors!

    Yeah, I believe it was just the first model year for the MKC, 2015.

    I do with they would have pulled the roof further back so the rear window wasn't so horizontal.

    I agree with that order almost 100% except I'd throw the ATS behind all of them.. It's like an eye sore in the middle of all of those coupes(in that angle).

    I'd drive one of those based on looks and interior.. 137hp for the outgoing model and if this is more, I'd guess it would be a marginal gain so like 145hp or so. That'd matched to a CVT would be what would keep me out of it more than anything else.

    The only reason I'd buy the Taco over The Twins is looks. I think the Taco looks so much better even though it does pretty much everything worse. I'm ready for a turbo engine in these mid-size trucks. I'm not sure how the little turbo 4 will do in the Ranger but I think a small turbo 6 would be perfect. Even with a very conservative tune making only like 280hp but with like 320tq+ seems like it would be a huge segment hit. Come to think of it, I think that's almost exactly what the 2.3 in the Ranger will do but let's be honest, turbo 4's in larger vehicles still have no proven themselves to get advertised mileage.

    I agree but you still need people to buy those vehicles at those prices. Just because they make them doesn't mean their sales will remain where they are for a more profitable vehicle.

    Lincoln Continental - A little pricey but also in a dying segment. It does what it was designed to do but I think the lack of sportiness hurts it in professional reviews. Cadillac CTS - Good car, poor sales. I think Cadillac is still struggling with brand image to those outside of the automotive world and CUE has been an issue since day 1. Even if it is better now I bet it rubbed a lot of people wrong. Also, not real buttons.. Colorado/Canyon - it isn't that it has poor sales(well the Canyon kind of does - 32,103 in 2017) but I'm surprised it never took more from the Tacoma. I guess I'd say they're lower than expected because they're lower than the Tacoma even though they're pretty much better in every standpoint AND the're an American branded truck company.

    You could replace this flat and bland section with a part of their Silverado bed and you'd never know the difference(I hope you grasp the sarcasm).

    Cadillac can't make pretty coupes. They haven't for quite awhile now and it's all in the rear 1/3 of the vehicle. Yeah! It's everything behind the doors that is just botched. It's like the quit trying and just pulled the body back to the required distances and said, "it's done."

    Based 100% on looks, I’d take the rear end of the Infiniti. The ATS Coupe does look way better than the last CTS Coupe. Boy did I hate that thing.

    Too bad Cadillac doesn't know how to design the rear 1/3 of a coupe. They call it quits at the end of the door and just sh!t all over the floor instead.

    Random Lincoln comment that Olds' pictures reminded me.. I saw my first purple MKC the other day not 5 minutes after talking to the gf about how I wanted a purple MKC and I had never seen one. I love that color. It's so dark in person too... Too bad they were 2015's only and still had MFT so I'll never own one.

    Speaking of Infiniti... Their Q50 Hybrid seems like one hell of a bargain on the used market. Makes me want one really bad. I really like the updated(whenever the current gen came out) styling and it seems like it'd be a fantastic daily driver. One example: Q50 Hybrid The miles and price vary some but you could get in one for less than 25k with what I would still consider lower miles, <40k. Another: Another Q50 Hybrid

    WE know this. General public probably absolutely no clue which exactly came first. They, more than likely, see 100 times more Impalas and just think that came first because they probably saw them first. If that's the case... one Cavalier, please! No worries
