Oh no, I completely agree on the financial investing part of that. Warren knows what the heck he is doing. I don't think somebody should be held "hostage" for buying something foreign prior to being elected but I do think while in office you should only buy American. If nothing else, it is one less thing for people to complain about for X years.

I would definitely drive one of these. I wouldn't want a CVT though. That would leave me with a manual or a different car.

Calculating the EV range based on battery capacity means a Bolt will travel 140 miles in the cold versus the 180 miles we recorded in the autumn. But the fuel economy and EV range in our test cars come with a couple of caveats. ... It takes a while for the pack’s heater, which is integrated in the battery’s liquid-cooling circuit, to raise the battery’s core temperature. In the case of cold-weather operation, the 1.8-kW heater kicks in (which is a significant portion of the power draw on a car cruising at highway speeds), pulling energy from the battery and reducing range. Khoury also points out that all the other accessories used in winter, including seat heaters, cabin heaters, and even headlights (there is less sunlight so they’re used more), increase the demands on the battery in winter months. None of these accessories were used during our cold-weather test, however (we usually set the interior climate control to 72 degrees for our highway fuel-economy tests but wanted to maximize range). Khoury also informed us that the battery heater is one reason why there sometimes is a nonlinear relationship between the distance-to-empty gauge dropping and the odometer climbing. It takes time for the heater to warm up the battery (much like an engine heating up, only it takes longer), which causes a precipitous drop in range early in the trip. We started our winter highway test with an indicated 170 miles of range. When we turned around 66 miles later, the indicated range was 85 miles. Yet when we returned, after traveling the same 66 miles, the remaining range was 35 miles—not the 19 miles we expected. That's just a douchey thing to ask of somebody. I'd wager most, if not all, of his cars purchased by himself were bought before he because the President. US makes absolutely nothing to even compete with a Rolls. Make America Great by making something even half as luxurious and dominant as a Rolls. Rolls Royce probably doesn't even know who Cadillac and Lincoln even are.

You do a crap ton of driving. ~29,000 miles per year! I also feel like cars are depreciating faster than ever right now. I know that's just a "feel" and no evidence behind that but with how even higher end cars are more "throwaway" than ever, it feels pretty accurate.

It's more plain... SR5, Access Cab, cloth, 4WD, 4.0, Auto. It is nice that it is the first year they changed to a touch screen for all trims so it does still have bluetooth for music and backup camera but it's a pretty plain trim. The backup camera blows compared to my Focus though. His is in his rearview mirror and not the clearest of pictures compared to mine being on an 8" screen.

First, "should have". Second, the worst part to most people, I think, is the intent to deceive rather than the pollution itself. They intentionally marketed it as clean and knowingly put out something much dirtier than everybody else and the regulations allowed. They were literally scamming people into buying their vehicles claiming it did X Y and Z.

Because the're all hatchbacks except the Model S and 3, aren't they? Everything else seems to be hybrid or plug-in hybrids. More reasons to dislike the dang thing... ?
