  1. I was just thinking the same thing. Otherwise, the model shown above actually looks pretty nice for the segment they have in mind.
  2. Not once did I say it did but since you look for any reason to slam EVs as junk while you drive a car made by company with a history of junk (as well as just general history of negative trolling where EVs are concerned), your opinion on this means squat to me quite honestly.
  3. Really don’t want to bother with you because you don’t want to hear the answer but let me just sum it up though. A country that makes endless unreliable junk doesn’t get to make statements about American companies and their issues regardless of truth or not.
  4. Here’s the non-story regarding the Times Square message. Never take seriously, a Chinese company criticizing someone else’s quality. https://www.google.com/amp/s/mashable.com/article/tesla-iunicorn-chinese-ride-hailing-repair-costs-billboards.amp
  5. Where I grew up, that is the choice of transportation for convicted DUI drivers. It gets all the honeys though lol, certainly than any Smart car will.
  6. If not for RAM sales, FCAs losses would be even more devastating that they already look. Just brutal.
  7. But those are not EVs which is the only thing that matters here. Didn’t you read??
  8. Yet you don’t say what that decline means because your point was clearly to troll especially given that most models this year have suffered far greater year over year losses. But “technically” he is right and that’s all that matters lol. We will just sidestep all the ICE autos losing sales by the thousands this year. All that matters is that one EV who is down a whole 59 units over last year.
  9. No worries but thanks for clarification. I did not want anyone to misread my intent here.
  10. That is not the context on which I was speaking but I get what you’re saying. My remark was pretty much a trolling deflection.
  11. Only in the most technical sense, yes it is down. However, given that the year over year loss is less (percentage wise) than the majority of ICE autos out there, it means nothing. It doesn’t mean EVs are crap. It doesn’t mean that no one wants them. It literally means nothing.
  12. I don’t know why people buy the Jeep Compass but people still do. Fewer this year than last year as well. The Bolt, for the record, is only down 59 units for the year compared to this time last year, which is far less than many other models out there even when accounting for percentage loss.
  13. At one time, some folks thought that no one would ever buy a Tesla. History is not being very kind to those folks.
  14. I would take any Mini Cooper over any Smart car. Absolutely overpriced garbage.
  15. I apparently do that more often than I’d like lol. Such is life sometimes though.
  16. Really iPhone? That should say “I could SEE them also starting...” Fat fingered typing.
  17. You would think it would be both but it would seem to make sense to start with the higher volume model (full size) in a effort to mitigate the costs. I could them also starting with midsize just to test the waters but if you’re going to go all in then you might as well start with your bread and butter models.
  18. Read what I actually said though (in response to ocnblu). I know that specific policies have affected it but his claim was more about their politics in general and even their immigration “issues”. Below is what I replied to but you are correct on the specific policies. “The EU is a fractured entity, insignificant and losing steam, overrun by immigrants who will not assimilate. Look at France. Look at Britain, desperate to break away, desperate to return to sovereign status over its own people. A failed experiment.“
  19. Me believes you think too highly of yourself. “Australian Shepherd”? More like a neurotic Jack Russell Terrier looking to nip at anyone’s ankles whenever positive news comes out regarding EVs. Nothing clear headed about it while others (speaking against EVs) do it with more tact and actual common sense. The pace may be questioned. The marketing may be questioned. Hell, all sorts of things can be questioned where EVs are concerned but it is coming and it will eventually be the new norm and not the outlier or exception. That is the way of the technological world where some diehard anti-EV folks will join the ranks of folks like the flat earth society while the rest of us move on.
  20. You are owed nothing from me and both of my posts about EVs here were of the positive. If all you want to do is focus on my signature because you seemingly have the notion that it’s all about you, then that is our problem. The only one inciting here is you. I love your little “since you’re one of those people” jab like that is supposed to be an insult. Not taking your bait ocnblu so get over it and move on. Now, about the actual subject, The politics (or how you perceive them) have nothing to do with the growing sales of EVs while sales of other cars have been sagging or flat.
  21. Other than the natural progression of EVs in the marketplace, it seems that the negative PR that comes with diesel these days is probably playing a big part in the increase in sales there.
  22. When you make future remarks about others trolling, I want you to look back on posts like this as to why it is hypocritical. Oh and you’re not the only person on this planet I have talked to about EVs and who has a problem with them. It a blanket statement about those who refuse to see progress. Not everything is about you. Now do you have anything non-trolling to add here or is that all?
  23. Proving that there is a market for EVs even if some folks want to close their eyes to the obvious.
  24. Now it does depend on the year with those. Here, the 1st gen models go up to $15K (until you get to 2011) and those tend to be the 550/AMG varieties. The mileage is a killer though because you know that after 100K, German cars start forcing themselves into your bank account with your money screaming “#METOO”! Very much unwanted for most folks. Nice and rare.
  25. The *better* looking one... (is what that should say). The Aurora was a sharp looking ride back in the day.
