  1. I think it’ll be quicker than that. Sure didn’t take long to figure out Fiats were still junk. Again though, I may be wrong here. Maybe Peugeot surprises me.
  2. What I am talking about is the fact that both brands were flaming piles of garbage back then. Given that newer Fiats and Alfas haven’t done much to change that perception, I just don’t expect much from Peugeot. I remember an old neighbor of mine, back in early 80’s, who’s mother had one and that thing was always in the shop. While Peugeot may go the Kia route, its doesn’t mean that it is needed in this currently oversaturated market. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but I just don’t see success here unless they pull a magical rabbit out their hat that no one expected. You mean the already sold here Regal Tour X?
  3. I agree with @balthazar. What exactly is the point in an already flooded market full of boring rolling applicances? On top of that, it’s Peugeot, which has about a good a record of fond memories as Fiat did 30-40 years, which is next to zilch.
  4. Ugh. For about a month and a half I was driving from El Mirage to Mesa, a 43 mile drive one way. So glad I only drive nine miles one way now. Long commutes suck.
  5. I lived in El Mirage for a year before I bought my house here in Peoria.
  6. $52K for a Blazer? That’s a hard pass from me. What it ends being priced at a dealership is 100% irrelevant in this internet shopping era. That is Cadillac money for a 2 row Chevy. Just no. And a 300HP Blazer is not worth no damn $52K. Get that out of here too. Fact is that they are both priced too high (like pretty much every car out there).
  7. The Sebring was a good seller becuase it was a rental queen, not to mention a garbage car. Convertible Models that didn’t originate with a sports car (ie. Stang, Camaro, Vette) have been a non-starter for the domestic makes for decades now, despite efforts to change that. Not enough real interest and no one wants to spend the money to develop one anymore, in this CUV happy climate. Personally, I don’t really care about them, one want or the other. Just not for me, as far as daily drivers go.
  8. No biggie. I understand that process more than you might realize. Website updates and maintenance are genuine pains in the butt sometimes. We do what we can do sometimes and just go with it.
  9. Should have never arrived here in the first place. Swap out the Buick logo and replace it with a Chrysler logo, and you have the perfect recipe for something no one ever asked for. I see bar moving is not a lost art form around here. You have tutored ATPs of Benz in the past (much like you do when sales are in your favor) yet dismiss here when it favors Cadillac. That bar has got to be tired from all that moving.
  10. @ccap41 Suggestion actually worked but I can’t figure why that started like that in the first place. I had no OS updates on my end so I knew that wasn’t the problem. Strange. Thanks for the tip @ccap41.
  11. Well, it seems like the site doesn't want me to see any posts past the first page. This started a little over a week ago but whether I’m on the iPad, my phone, or computer, I get this never ending “loading” message whenever I try to go to another page of any thread here. Let me know when this is fixed because I have tried everything on my end. @Drew Dowdell
  12. The results are not surprising. With near on demand torque and AWD, the Stinger will always get off the line faster than the Stang (or Camaro for that matter) but that 100HP difference sure reared its ugly head on the track so the Stang winning was no surprise there at all. Now, imagine even 50 more HP (much less 100 more) on the Stinger. Make fun of the fact that its a Kia (so what?), a derivative of other cars (again, so what? Most cars these days are derivative of something else), or any a number of things people like to slam Kia for. This is a true dark horse car that will impress most folks who are lucky enough to get behind the wheel of it.
  13. You do realize that your sales logic can be used against you here right? See Escalade sales versus anything of competing nature from Benz. Now would you say they outsell the Benz because of the much better materials and price difference? Oh, and after spending 20 miles driving a 2015 C63 AMG, I'm just going to call BS on that top notch interior non-sense. Newsflash Mercedes, don't ever make a white leather seat ever again. Simply atrocious after only three years of use (and only 29K miles on the car). Oh and don't get me started on the glued on glorified iPad on top of the dash.
  14. It probably wouldn't pass the bean counter test but I second that notion. That is actually an interior concept that would translate nicely into CT6 size (or larger, hello CT7?) Caddy and would absolutely shame anything from Europe or anywhere else, for that matter.
  15. Now If they’d just update the rest of it, you might have a winner.
  16. The Disturbed cover of it is much better.
  17. More gimmicks, more price. I also, like others, question long term durability.
  18. I’m good Drew but I’m not the one who went sideways on this. Carry on. It’s called “elitism” and “overcompensation” but that’s neither here nor there. You are right though. That is not a small amount of money and I’ll be damn if I’m going to “swipe that gold card” or get into a $800 a month car payment on a USED CAR, no matter how bad ass it is.
  19. Are you drunk? You are the one who invited me to this site years ago when most of us here were on the MT forums. For the record, the crazy talk started with you and it still continues. You also don’t understand the concept of a “joke”. Stop it BUB. Just stop it. This is about the GS and not about your delicate sensibilities where criticisms of GM are concerned.
  20. Someone got seriously ripped off if they paid $32K for a Soul! That salesman was doing the cocaine celebration dance for real after that customer left. My wife's is the exact same as the one I took almost two years ago cross country. The book on the this one is right at $16K (only 23K miles on a 2015 helped) so we got a good deal that doesn't start anywhere near underwater financially. She is happy which makes me happy. I was plotting a serious act of destruction against her old HHR so I am glad that don't have to get rid of any evidence lol.
  21. My feelings exactly. We will just skip over the part where my wife and I traded in her nightmare HHR for a much better Kia Soul (what she wanted). That doesn't mean that I hate GM or Chevy. It just means that they have produced some garbage over the years, just like everyone else, and I will point it out when I feel it is necessary. Oh, and so as to get back on track here, swap "GS" for a genuine "GNX", and we have a winner!
  22. I'll be sure to do that junior, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PHOENIX DESERT where I live. Seriously, get a clue already. It's old. My criticisms of GM are 100% valid whether I own a Cadillac right now or not. I'll be sure to get right on a car payment that would be higher than my mortgage. Oh wait, I'm not an idiot. BTW, it's either gun metal gray or nothing at all but thanks for taking to time to stalk my buying habits. It also doesn't need to be a "V" as much as it is on my bucket list of cars. A 3.6L will work for now, thank you very much. I was trying not to be a "D" about it because I am not here for the endless back and forth. Like I said, I made my point and if the fanboys want to rant on, then they can rant on to themselves. I will keep on saying what I am saying. I was a "known Ford fan" you know?
  23. Thanks. One brand fans don’t get that some of us can point out the flaws in new cars (and old cars for that matter) and not be a fan of an opposing brand or never intending on buying new in the first place. Just because I choose not to buy new does not mean that my opinion is not valid no matter what some overcompensating person says (And no, I am not referring to anyone specific here). Hell, if you ask me, it makes me financially smarter to not pay a mortgage payment on a $70-100K car or truck. Let natural depreciation take care of the bulk of money waste there and then take advantage. It’s how my wife just got a 2015 Soul with only 20k miles for less than $13K. I’ve sold cars in the past and just did some part time work at a Chevy dealership last year so I don’t feel that I’m totally talking out of my posterior here lol. Carry on folks. Who’s the communist lol?
  24. Jesus man, let it go “slim” (WTF does that even mean anyway). I made my point and stand by my point. What I buy or don’t buy is 100% irrelevant to what I was talking about so give it a rest. And I actially am looking at getting an 2013-14 AWD model (because I never buy new) before years end so how about you give the passive aggressive nonsense (and borderline condescension) a rest.
  25. The problem is not with the 3.6L itself but the fact that GM sees it as the only V6 option for every car or CUV they make when they have so many options available to them. The 3.6 should not be a top of the line option in the XT6 for example. That should be a middle option with a turbo AWD V6 as the top option. Maybe they will change that after a year or two of its life cycle but it should have been done from the start. On this, we agree. The GS deserves better here.
