  1. I was trying to nice about it but it really is a mess inside and out. That interior looks like it belongs more in a Fiat 500 and not a Mercedes. I just cannot wrap my head around the ugliness of it all.
  2. Simply hideous interior with a can't make up its mind what it wants to be exterior to match. Sorry but no.
  3. This "Is Ford slipping" is just the ebb and flow of the business. It's just the constant cat mouse game that has been going on with these companies for a century now. They both have different ideas that will continue to make it a cat and mouse game. All that matters is how their ideas benefit the customer and not the stockholders and bean counters.
  4. Maybe you should talk to your buddy who brought up Cadillac and GMC into this because he thought that I would be offended by it (of course, now it looks like it has been deleted). As others have alluded to, CR is crap overall but it is also a tool that one can use to gauge certain aspects of a car or truck (just not all aspects). It should be used with all other tools at the consumers disposal so that one can make an informed decision about their next car or truck.
  5. Exactly my point for years. It just makes me giggle inside when folks just can't get over the fact that not everyone here is beholden to only one brand or manufacturer. I also have had many different results with past cars that would not be considered very good by some here while I have some really crappy experiences with cars that are regarded as having bullet proof reliability (looking at you Lexus ES300). I had an old 95 Eagle Talon for years, back in NC, and it was one the most trouble free cars I ever owned (save for the crappiest factory door handles on the planet). My point here is that some folks need to separate these one brand notions when talking to other folks because not everyone feels as strongly as they do about their ONE brand, whether it be GM, FCA, Toyota, Daimler-Benz, or Ford.
  6. I mentioned Lincoln because they are cut from the same corporate cloth as Buick. No need to get your panties in a knot over a simple observation. Btw, Toyota and Lexus have far more models than Lincoln with a lot of tech while still being reliable. Want to try a different argument?
  7. A thousand times, this^^^!! and mentioning the interior shows that someone clearly has not looked at both, which are the same save for badging and Denali trims.
  8. So Buick is just taking a page from the Lincoln playbook, only more reliably. Good news for Buick.
  9. One word. Raptor.
  10. Ford offers more trims (with different grills, bumper covers, and other sheet metal nuances) than GM so there is are just as many variations for Ford to build than for GM to make the two different brands they supply. This one is better than two or two is better than one argument is just asinine knowing those simple facts.
  11. Maybe GM should have been smarter, like Ford, and just shut down production for a week or two and let employees get paid for doing nothing during that time as opposed to offering the actual customers a nice enticement to buy one of their trucks. Thats sarcasm btw.
  12. Sorry but if that is what is being brought here, then it should come with a fifth of bourbon for being so hideous looking. It is a hodge dodge of everything that the Chinese like to rip off.
  13. While the 911 is undoubtedly the better overall car, it should be for $40K more. Imagine what an additional $40K would do for the Vette. Of course, given the mid engine rumors, you might not have to imagine for much longer.
  14. Happens to all cars even Mercedes. GLA-down 6% for the year and is much newer than the Lamdas GLE-down 19.9% for September 2016 versus Sept 2015 Its a good thing the other CUVs did okay for them since ALL sedans of theirs are down outside of the E Class (which gets the benefit of combining with CLS sales). And no they do not need more than three of they so please. When you have sisters companies under the GM umbrella covering the rest, the need for more is just overstated. They may end up with a fourth but they really are not in dire straights with this, as you are implying. And again, all of those you mentioned have replacements in year or less. Good grief.
  15. They are doing okay and new models are already being introduced.
  16. Yeah. Just saw the Ford report on their numbers and the fleet decline explains it completely. It also confirms what a lot of people were saying about the Mustangs fleet heavy numbers.
  17. Nevermind. Enough lies have been exposed here. I made my point and I stand by it.
  18. Only by a little more than 100 cars, but it looks like the Camaro outsold the Mustang for the month. Don't know why the Stang had such a huge drop off though. Weird.
  19. Funny how you don't count the time it took for you to drive to the service and back X 5 cars. I have three in my driveway, can get necessary supplies in one trip for all three and take care of them as needed. Now, do you understand the flaw in your argument now or do you want to act like you wouldn't be singing a completely different tune if Ford were offering something like the Bolt? I've heard a lot of excuses from you as to why you think EVs are this and that and all things negative (while ignoring or sidestepping the many more positives of EV ownership). The impression you are giving here is that your car buying, driving, and maintenance choices make you smarter than everyone else's while only being different and in many ways not smarter. We get it. You think EVs are inferior to whatever you choose to do everyday where cars are concerned. You just happen to be the only one on this thread, thus far, that believes as you do. I'll just leave it at that.
  20. Sorry but I save money every time I change my own oil (and I do) and having an EV would be a huge plus towards me not having to worry about it ever again. No changing the oil or taking time out of my day to have someone else do it (because time is money and more important to me).
  21. And even mentioning little things like a cord being left out is beyond reaching. Gosh! What if I forget to hang the fuel pump hose?
  22. No they sure don't because you made this about yourself from the get go. I stand by my statement. The topic is still being discussed btw but you must be running out of ammunition to make a comment like that. One last thing. You tried to make it about me the other day with your "you're wrong and I think just afraid to admit it" post but let's just ignore that little double standard and get back to the topic. The Bolt is a great first step for GM in the true EV realm and hopefully it can gain some traction in the market.
  23. Makes a post about eighty people dying mining for that EV power (to prove whatever point he is trying to make) yet says others are talking in extremes. He then says he will not blow smoke up any automakers rear like others do. Hmmmmm I see some things never change. Volumes? Let's see. Ten thousand batteries for cars a month versus the millions of batteries made for phones sold a month. That's a hard one figure out there (obvious sarcasm).
  24. It's like he conventionally forgets the wars started for oil and the number of people killed for it. Simply baffling the cherry picking going on here. You are also right on the money where brand is concerned. This is all about who is releasing said car because if it had a blue oval on it, the story would be completely different.
