Dodge News: Dodge Challenger Adds All-Wheel Drive for 2017
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
Pair it up with a V8 and stop wasting everyone's time FCA. Good grief. They are just phoning it in if it doesn't involve a Jeep or a Fiat. Probably why they are headed to the great crapper in the sky.- 83 replies

Yes "Really" to all of it and anyone who is not beholden to their employer would know this already. Many examples have already been given to why this has been the case. Along with big oil, the big 3 were the biggest detriment to new technologies and changes that had to have government intervention later on to force their hands. This is not really a debatable point but if it makes you feel better, just continue on with this illusion that Ford is the lone exception to the truth.

I'm also sure that Ford, like everyone else, did some things exactly because the government told them too.

Yeah some folks fail to realize that the same government regulations that are supposedly squeezing out companies today are the same ones responsible for emission reduction in the first place.

November 2016: General Motors Co.

I may depend on the wheel size that makes more noticeable or not. I had 18" Hemi wheels on mine so it was a little taller than the standard SXT models.- 34 replies

Honestly I could not tell the difference if you were to put an AWD model right next to my old Magnum. Very subtle.- 34 replies

I don't know about the newer model cars but the Magnum AWD was about an inch higher than the RWD only models.- 34 replies

Kind of like how the Mustang was "sticking it" to the Camaro for most of year, i.e. more than 30% fleet/rental to do so.- 34 replies

Barely because that's when it all went to hell for Lincoln and Cadillac and they have been digging out of that hell ever since. They are getting there though.- 34 replies

Yeah, it really stuck it to the CT6...by a whole 300 units. And saying Continental name means something would involve willfully ignoring the boring trash of the last 30+ years. It would be the same if Cadillac tried to bring back the DeVille name. It has been completely tarnished by years of begging a neglected also ran.- 34 replies

The Escalade is definitely the clear winner here. Out of all them though, I would never ever consider the hideous Infiniti or the notoriously unreliable and overpriced Range Rover. The Lincoln should not have even been invited to the luxury party though until the new model comes out, which promises to be leaps and bound better than this outdated beast.

Kia News: Spying: Are You the Production Kia GT?
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in Kia
My god, I hope not. Looks like they slapped the nose of a Hyundai Genesis Coupe onto a Kia Optima! Just a whole lot of "nope" there. -
In gun metal gray (similar to the one on Ray Donavon), that is one gorgeous ride. Of course it would nice if this would happen in the U.S. Instead we just get more tall body wagons that they call "CUVs". For shame.

At least two of the fires in NC are suspected to be arson. People suck. They are getting some rain in area today though so hopefully that helps the firefighting effort.

I echo your sentiment. There are just too many variables working against it right now.

Short of commercial applications (which would face stiff competition here), there really wasn't a need or a case for this truck here and Mercedes made a wise move holding off on the US market. That could change down the road, mind you, but it is clear that now is not the time. Thing is hideous anyway.

Anything to actually add to the subject @FordCosworth or are you just stopping by to show your negative support like always?

After reading that comparo, I think we can put this "MT is nothing more than a GM propaganda arm" argument to rest. They were ridiculously harsh on the CT6 in a test that was set up for Volvo all the way.

No. That was a vote against the poster and not the post. I can guarantee that.

My first encounter was with one at a specialty shop. It looked exactly like the one picture except the interior was red. It had the original 380 with 63,000 miles on it, all stock and was in mint condition. They were asking $18,000 for it in '92 and if I had a garage then, I would have bought it in a second. Just gorgeous.
