  1. Yeah Imperial Blue, Midnight (Pontiac/Buick) and Deep Blue are all the same Indigo-type 37U Blue. Nice color-better than the bland Navy/Ming/Midnight (Saturn)/Dark Blue now. Where do you get the Canadian info? I'd love to see the site for Optra, Wave, G5 Pursuit, etc...it would be much appreciated if possible! Thank you!
  2. Isn't a Toyota Prius only $1,500 less? That's awesome pricing! Can't wait to see this and how it will grow Saturn! Saw a Red Line today and it looked dynamite-bet we can expect the same thing here!
  3. I know its far from popular, but why not resurrect the Pontiac Banner as a Dodge Magnum rival? Put it on Zeta, of course! Ditto Buick Signia for a more luxurious version, the latter styled right after the 1998 concept car, one of my favorites. I thought Recon had a code-GMT318 I want to say? 317 I think was an MPV based off the 2000 MUV concept car, riding a stretched VUE wheelbase, and one of those was a smaller, Honda Ridgeline-type pickup (ah...what GM lost...another missed opportunity in which they could've been first to innovate something-the FWD/AWD car-based crossover pickup)
  4. Good move GM but call it LTZ!! Leave SS for RWD V-8 cars! Good to see the correct powertrain is being offered here-now about G6 and other non-Aura Epsilons....
  5. What's wrong with two-tone colors? Ithink his point was that there's too many greys-Sunset Blue is really some grey, Thunder Grey, and Platinum-the latter (67U-aka Chevy's Silverstone) looks almost convincing as silver, but its still just a light, better grey. I like Stealth (Slate) Grey the best, but come on, how about more vibrant colors? And that Gold Mist sucks and doesn't look remotely like gold-they shouldn't have traded Sand Storm for it.
  6. How come this one's so much later than the Outlook and Enclave?
  7. Now that makes more sense-so a manumatic or maybe even TAPShift then, right?
  8. These pics and more info are available at AutoScoops.net Looks great I hope Saab pushes through!
  9. Hey, if 100,000 units fails for Camaro, just design a different front/rear end clip and select interior pieces (and wheels/other exterior pieces), and voila, you could have a new Pontiac Firebird taking up the rest of the slack! (And don't give me the whole cloning/brand-image-non-fitting speech-we all know what's happened in both areas).
  10. Oldsmobile Joaquim, huh? That's the first time I'd ever heard about it-I'm assuming the minivan was the circa-2005 Silhouette before Olds got pulled and CSV's came to play, but was Joaquim a pre-Recon? I remember Recon was slated for the Theta architecture, but wow, that's interesting! And there was also an early-development GMX382 Alero-am I correct there too? Intrigum was supposed to be essentially an Olds version of the Malibu Maxx if I remember correctly as well.
  11. Yup, he was on my local news the other day-was right by Bausch and Lomb headquarters today...small world, huh?
  12. Thanks for posting stills of that video! I still have the videos (haven't watched them in a while though), but I've always wanted to see a still of that pre-Anthem/Aurora-thanks Avant1963!
  13. Who exactly is going to buy a manual transmission in a full-size (or even mid-size) car? GM large cars haven't offered a manual transmission since early 1971!
  14. I'd vote for Roadmaster, but Zeta's not the ideal architecture for it, IMO. I voted to keep Lucerne, since they've already invested a bit into it.
  15. Also, the 2001 Vizon concept looked spectacular in pictures-it should've come to production as-is. Actually, I'd still support it! Just edge up and shorten SRX's rear end, jack up the power, send it soon! That rolling piece of artwork-or, I mean-Infiniti FX-needs a rival!
  16. True, but a few things: ES350 is still a mid-size car, very nice one at that-DTS is large. Buick is not yet at that big-ticket luxury field yet. They need to be able to match Mercury Milan and the 2007Chrysler Sebring before going for Acura TL and Lexus ES350. However, Milan and Sebring are slightly smaller cars than the LaCrosse (by about 7" overall, but trunk space is similar, with the current Sebring winning at 16 vs. 15.8 or so for Milan/LaCrosse). LaCrosse really isn;t that luxurious, even in top form, and its top engine only has 240hp. ES350 has 272; 270 I think out of TL. As seen in Enclave and almost in Outlook, GM can make 270hp out of that same 3.6-liter DOHC High Feature V-6 (but make a 250hp standard-or at least optional on Malibu/G6 models, like Aura). I wouldn't mind seeing a revived SLS on Epsilon II 112.5, but only as long as it didn't intrude with CTS-it can be styled like it (in fact that's the only way I'd go! Ditto other Caddies), but of course FWD, edgier, and essentially a smaller, more modern DTS. But I would prefer to see LaCrosse spread its wings, and not only be that near-luxury 5-6-passenger mid-size sedan, but also to spread into ES350/TL territory.
  17. Expedition EL you mean? Excursion died-but this looked more macho, nicer than Tahoe I think-I wasn't impressed with Tahoe-once school's done, I'll have to hit up my Chevy dealer.
  18. Was on a bike ride and I saw my first 2007 Chevy Suburban-a Black LT 1500 4x4. Much nicer looking than Tahoe, the rear overhang was a little much and it did look a bit of "too much the same", but its proportions look good, kind of macho. anyone else seen these on the roads yet?
  19. The Wave's surfacing in July? Okay! Hang on...I'm all for a fuel-efficient sporty Pontiac-BUT NOT ANOTHER CLONE!
  20. Oh yeah-couldn't see the sedan photos yesterday. My vote is for neither-they're both boring.
  21. The G6 GXP I would like to see would have a 300hp supercharged DOHC 3.6-liter HF V-6, 6-speed OD manual or TAPShift-neither concept last I checked had the proper engine, or it wasn't powerful enough.
  22. Great idea on the Rendezvous! Especially considering that the Enclave is full-size, but larger than a Mercury Mariner. Buick shouldn't make it too tall looking like the current model, but follow the Enclave's styling and 3.6-liter High Feature V-6 (ditto for Equinox/Torrent, should the latter continue or even have a purpose).
  23. What's the trunk like? Are we talking a real full-size trunk with 20 cubic feet? Comfortable 6-passenger seating? 2003 SS Concept-inspired styling? Sounds exciting!!!!
  24. I was hoping for something a bit more Airflite/Airflow/Pacifica-inspired, but this looks interesting. Just don't offer the dull 300 grille, or worse, the one off the Aspen.
  25. Stylish, but boring-type stylish (i.e. Pleasantly Bland School of Design-as if we haven't seen enough of those) , not pizazz stylish like the concept car.
