it actually all started with a different car... a corvette... i had always liked the look of a corvette... but when i was younger... i figured it wuz a new car that had no history... as i got older.. i saw the older ones... i immediately was drawn to the C3... i love that car... still do to this day (69 L88 please... haha)... but anyway... all of a sudden i realized that classic cars were far more appealing to my taste than most modern ones... i went from vette to GTO and then i found the f-bodies... it was the trans am first... uncovered while looking through a Pontiac history website for GTO stuff... and then i saw the camaro... i was in love with the f-bodies immediately and not too long ago i saw a camaro that will forever cement it as one of my favorite cars ever... it was a 1969 ZL1 replica... someone took a stock camaro and stuck a new engine in it and then put a bigger cowl hood to make room... but the car itself was tuxedo black... with a deep red interior... when i first saw it my jaw dropped at the sheer beauty of the car... my mouth was open for a solid 5 minutes as i just stared at it... looking at every line... every gorgeous curve... and that... is my camaro love affair story

mostly mid to late 70s... with a few 80s thrown in (Motley Crue, GnR, Skid Row)... i can tolerate some new stuff... dont care too much for hip-hop/r&b but i wont ask someone to change the radio if its on at sumplace... i hate the whole emo/screamo thing... and nirvana... dont like nirvana

well moltar... there was no such thing as a "lumina coupe" in the 90s... there was lumina and monte carlo... i refer to them as 2 door luminas bcuz they... while not exactly being ugly... were not sporty looking... if you parked one next to a lumina... the differences were not very many... as far as the 00-05 gen... the curved decklid ill agree with you... it looks weird... but if you look at the intimidator model... the one i have... it has a duck tail wing that gets rid of the odd look of that and actually makes the rear look very attractive... the front end... im always confused as to how people find it ugly... but if your saying that the car as a whole was ugly... and not including the 06 in that... then all you dont like is the front end... they changed almost nothing besides the front end and made the duck tail available even on LS... and carstar... yeah the backseat is huge... my mom has an 05 deville... and my cabin actually has more legroom in the back than hers does... the car is of a similar size as well... it is a huge car... you really have to see it in person to realize it

how about a sweet forcefield like in the mercury milan commercials? haha but being completely serious... maybe like... oh man i dunno... thats hard... cars these days have so much random stuff in them its next to impossible to think up somethin unique... if something comes to me ill be sure to post it tho

id love to see a RWD buick coupe... altho i dont think it should be the velite... the velite is more of a roadster car... ala solstice... going along with the kappa idea i think they should put a velite-esque vehicle on kappa... and for a RWD coupe go with Riviera or Skylark... then put the lucerne on a RWD platform, keep the lacrosse and enclave and then buick has all it needs Lucerne LaCrosse Riviera/Skylark Enclave Velite Kappa

the way the wheel wells are designed... it looks like the front wheel is bigger than the rear... which makes evrything look backwards... and whats with those seemingly random lines down the side... they look weird... and im gunna hafta agree with evryone else... the styling is so boring... and where the GTO had the power to back up the boring styling... these just dont... have you guys ever sene the torque numbers for the 3 series? they are disgustingly low... the top of the line m3 puts out less torque than my monte... bmw likes to hide behind awesome horsepower numbers which really dont matter if you dont have the torque to back it up... so i can definitely say im not a fan... the cars are boring looking and due to low torque... they cant be very exciting to drive... since torque is what you feel... oh well...

well first off let me just say i love the GT... its so nice looking... has the sharp lines i kinda wanted from the solstice (altho the solstice is beautiful too... i just wanted sharp lines) and also... decka... what do you mean it wont make its way over here? is there talk of them bringing this over? or do you mean the deisel engine wouldnt be in the sky? as far as powertrain for an OPC model... is the 2.4 with 260 horse turbo'd? bcuz if its not then it would make sense to just turbo it... if it is... maybe a small s/c or turbo 6?

oh yeah i cant wait to see a RWD one... thats gunna be awesome... and i totally agree with you on the 2 door luminas they sold back in the 90s... those were gross... they had the 3.8 so they had decent power but... the styling was terrible...

im getting tired of people bashing th monte for being FWD i understand that traditionally a muscle car is RWD... i get that FWD isnt going to peform as good... but seriously... have you ever driven one? i own a 2004 supercharged ss... and its awesome... the acceleration is great... the exhaust note is great... the handling could be better but it is still really good... honestly people need to stop saying that its a disgrace... because its really not... its just different... big deal... and to be honest... id take my 240 horse s/c v6 over the late 80s RWD v8s with like... 150 horse anyday... sure those looked cool and were RWD.. but IMO... those where a bigger disgrace than the current ones... how can you say a 300 horse v8 is a disgrace for any car? not to mention the styling on them is awesome... they just look so mean... so pleez... try showing some respect for the car... its much better than you think it is

well i wasnt talking about the sebring... i was talking about the avenger... and to be honest... the 300 and Charger... arent that different... sure the charger was dressed up to look angrier... and doesnt have the mesh grill but the crosshair... but you cant tell me they arent close to each other in appearance... and the magnum... if you chopped the roof of the magnum to make it look like a sedan roof... itd look almost exactly like a 300 with a crosshair grill... it really is all the same when you look at them side by side

so wait... your telling me GM gets in trouble for badge engineering... even tho sumtimes its done not that bad (not to say they havent done blatant badge changes... but some arent as bad as most make it seem)... yet DCX... is allowed to just rename the same car 4 times and its okay? 300C, Charger, Magnum, and now this... its getting to be ridiculous... i guess the magnum has some uniqueness because of the wagon thing... but the 300C, Charger and this... same car... same exact car... i hate the media...

alright ive just been sittin back and readin all this for way too long... i understand that the G6 has its faults... i get it... but before i adress the real problem... thanks for the pictures of the interior... the conept G6 is by far the best... the civic interior is gross... looks like something out os a scifi movie... and i think the actual G6 interior just suffers from poor color combinations... its weird looking... but im sure in a black/dark grey it wouldnt look as gaudy as the civic... now onto what i came here to say... turbo... what the hell is your problem with pontiac? did a fiero once tear your civic dx apart? why do you love honda so much? they really arent that great... if you must love japanese cars why dont you love the one who makes actual quality cars that lots of people like (toyota) i personally dont like the G6 coupe that much... but id take one in a heartbeat over an Si... the Si is gross in evry way... the exterior just looks ridiculous... and im asuming the "top of the line" civic interior is the Si... thats gross as well... not to mention... while 240 horse isnt the greatest for a performance car... it is way... way better than 197... im sorry but the pontiac bashing is gunna hafta stop... im a big pontiac fan... and its startin to bother me... i can only hope that BV doesnt see any of this...

while hearing full confirmation that the GTO is back on is awesome... ive been optimistic about it anyway so its kinda expected... the thing about that article that excited me the most... was the news that a new RWD monte is being made in 2008... i hope they keep the general design idea of the current model... i dont really want to see the monte go retro...

wow thanks for the help... that wuz alot of good stuff... but it didnt really answer my question... how much horsepower would i gain with a ram air? i cant imagine it being less than 10-15, not to mention it also helps with gas mileage... and there are a couple other advantages... so when you think about it, 820 isnt too bad

ooh alright... thanks guys... so i am at a disadvantage... but i think the sheer weight of my car minimizes that a bit... thats alright then... not to mention ive held my own against a 2004 mustang gt and a 2005 bmw 330i so its not like im getting destroyed anyway

oh yeah id definitely prefer a v8... but my supercharged 6 provides quite the nice kick in the rear when i step on it... and thats just the thing... it hits just as hard as it would if it were RWD... so i really dont understand why people discredit it immediately for being FWD... oh well... ps. there was lots of snow and ice here in NJ too... my friend with an 05 mustang V6 had such a hard time gettin out of the parking lot at school... i had no problem at all...

that makes sense... but what about in a straight line? any advantages there? if not then people who complain about FWD dont really have much to complain about

i havent driven a g6 coupe... nor have i seen the interior... i can say from experience (i drive a monte ss supercharged) that a 240 horse v6 provides a nice kick in the rear when you step on the gas... however i really think the G6 coupe... looks way way too much like a totyota solara... when i heard they were makin a g6 coupe i was excited... because the g6 is a nice looking car and a coupe would look even better... but then i saw it and i wuz very dissappointed with it... the taillights are almost mirror images of the toyota solara... and the overall shape is very similar... pontiac is my favorite brand... i dont like the fact that they're selling a car that looks japanese... its very disheartening
