  1. It's an improvement, but it's still not a real Buick.
  2. I prefer the `06 and up face, the pre MCE looked ungainly and just plain horrid. The Maxx body style helps too. Although the new on is much better IMO. Nevertheless, the new lighst work well with teh SS package and make it look a little more sinister. That G6 man...can't warm up to it.
  3. This stuff is pure rubbish that lacks any sort of aesthetic appeal, or design creativity. Now this is some cool stuff. ZAHA HADID’s Performing Arts Centre in Abu Dhabi:
  4. Chevette would be a bad name, the Beat, Groove, or Trax are better names.
  5. Free wrench!
  6. Exactly, they didn't do enough with the "refresh" of the current one. Chrysler should definitely consider a hybrid powertrain when they are redesigned.
  7. Happy Birthday ocn!
  8. Chrysler is retarded, they should have made a compact sedan instead of 2 Jeeps. Considering how well the Caliber, a hatchback, sells, image how well a sedan would sell?
  9. You know you can lease a PT Cruiser for $99 a month.
  10. That's an idea, but then you'd have to fix the Millenia to actually sell it for reasonable money anyway.
  11. The big thing to consider is that while you are throwing money at it, you do know the car. When buying a new used car there's always the chance of the unforeseen happening. Remember how you wanted to sell the Cutlass without mentioned it's issues? It could end up light the $h!fire: fine at first then downhill after that. I just think it would be worth it take it to another place and get a 2nd opinion, maybe they'll find something the other mechanic missed. It's entirely possible. The brakes you could do yourself, tires you could pick up used, not sure about teh suspension though...but you get my drift. If you're anting a new car go for it, just my :twocents:
  12. Rather than dealing with registration fees and hoping the "beater" is reliable, if it were me I'd spend a hundred two on a dealer actually taking a good look at the Mazda or something, find teh real problem, and go from there.
  13. 1st gen Stratus is also an idea. The price range is right up yur alley, they are roomy, comfortable, the design has aged well, fun to drive, and good on gas. If you can find a 2.0/5-speed you can get 36 mpg on the highway plus the fun of having a manual. There's also the equally rare 2.4/5-speed.
  14. Obviously it was an April Fools, but let us enjoy the moment damnit
  15. Sorry, I forgot the link!
  16. Congrats! You'd be amazed at how many of the of us here at least respect the Civic for what it is. I personally like the coupe bnetter than the sedan so fine choice there. The interior is also a nicer place to be than most compacts (and some midsizers). Congrats on your new car! Just out of curiosity, did you ever give the Mazda3 a try?
  17. You say it as though GM products never break down. Ask BV, I'm sure he begs to differ. What it all boils down to is this: All cars regardless of where they come from will need work at some point in there life. As the miles rack up things wear and brake eventually. These are the facts of linfe. It doesn't matter if it's a Honda, a Buick or a Chrysler, something will need to be fixed eventually. There are just cases were some cars need more work more often than others.
  18. Well it only came on when the engine stalled, although the engine light never came on.
  19. He's never had game compatability issues.
  20. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=125393 DETROIT — If the car enthusiasts within General Motors prevail, Pontiac will further expand its lineup of rear-wheel-drive performance vehicles to include a 400-plus-horsepower V8-powered G8 coupe. Just don't call it a GTO. The coupe, which would be based on the Holden Coupe 60 concept the Australian division unveiled recently at the Melbourne auto show, would arrive in showrooms within three years' time. Since neither the Firebird nor GTO name will likely to be revived for the Pontiac lineup, the G8 coupe will carry the performance mantle for the brand. To do battle with the big-horsepower Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR, Dodge Challenger SRT8 and the upcoming Camaro SS, Pontiac will have to outfit its coupe with the 402-horsepower LS3 6.2-liter V8 that the company recently introduced at the New York auto show in the G8 GXP sedan. As seen in these illustrations, the G8 Coupe GXP won't be a true hardtop like the Holden Coupe 60 Concept. Like the Camaro and Challenger it will grow a B-pillar and fixed rear side glass in production trim. It'll also get the GXP sedan's 19-inch wheels, 245/40ZR19-spec summer tires and a version of the GXP's aggressive front fascia. That rolling gear would be attached to the sedan's stiff FE3 suspension and, like the sedan, the GXP coupe would offer an optional Tremec six-speed manual transmission. Additionally, the G8 coupe, which has been developed alongside the Camaro, would be offered as the G8 Coupe GT, powered by the same 361-hp 6.0-liter used in the G8 GT sedan. Of course, this all assumes that a faction within General Motors that fears upcoming CAFE (corporate average fuel economy) standards doesn't quash the project. "The G8 Coupe is not dead," said one source within the company. "This is an uphill battle. It shouldn't be. But it is." When pressed, our source indicates that the chance of getting the coupe is probably less than 50 percent. Predictably, Bob Lutz is said to be in the pro-coupe camp. This isn't the first time the two factions have battled over G8 variants. "The G8 GXP, the G8 sport truck and the G8 wagon were all part of the plan. Then they pulled all three just three or four months ago. It was a classic over-reaction to CAFE. We got the GXP back and, because Lutz is a big fan of the sport truck we got that back, too. But then Dodge killed the Magnum and that was the end of the wagon," our source says. What this means to you: We don't care if they call it GTO or Firebird or Powder Puff. We still want this Corvette-motored coupe much more than a revival of the el Camino. — Daniel Pund, Senior Editor, Detroit
  21. I'm keeping it. Sine I have no time and even less money this semester I'm just using the Prizm as my daily driver. Once school gets out I'll have time to look it over, although the chains are being replaced within a couple weeks hopefully.
