  1. I would like to take a moment to point out what the strength of a real frame is....
  2. Can't wait to see this thing finished, keep the story coming!
  3. Lovely indeed!
  4. That is my favorite generation Eldorado, I love them. There is actually one sitting in a driveway near my house....I sometimes wonder if I should just knock on the door and ask about it.
  5. There's a Caprice wagon like that in blue across the street from me.
  6. Wow what an opportunity BV! That's awesome!
  7. I really wish the media would report this kind of major flaw, if only so that the masses would be enlightened to the fact that Toyota is not perfect, they make (sometimes serious) mistakes, just like every other company.
  8. Keep the info coming balthazar, it's fascinating (as is your collection of cars).
  9. Tell me about it, I think I spent a total of $100 on the bumper, both headlight doors, teh driver's side headlight/grill support, grill, and primer and paint. Yeah, that I'll have to buy from ebay or something. When the weather gets a bit warmer and I've got more free time I'll touch up some of the surface rusted areas. Sometime between tonight and Monday I will wash it, and get all of the dirt and grime off, which has been there for who knows how long. I'll post some of those when I do it.
  10. So as you guys may recall the T&C came to use in a bit of a mass. The bumper had caved in, which included the cover and the the actual bumper, it also bent some of the front end so the headlight housing/grill don't all fit quite right anymore. At the time it looked pretty bad, and it was further compounded by lack of avaialble parts. Eventually after hunting through 6 junlkyards I found a downer, a blue Caravan. Last week I sanded and painted the bumper I got white with some automotive spray paint and primer I got from teh parts store. Today I, along with some help from my brother put it all back together, Have a look. It's very rewarding to do things yourself, in addition to saving money. I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out.
  11. LOL @ the Baja.
  12. I like how they are including the pillarless section in t he photo. :AH-HA_wink:
  13. Me likey the Datsun.
  14. `08 Dakota (first I've seen) `08 Magnum (also first) both red
  15. Apparently you've never heard one of Sixty8's rants about wanting a V16...
  16. That reminds me, I noticed recently the trunk in the Prizm being wet, as we've been getting more rain and less snow now, and as it turns out, as 69 pointed out, the damn body shop neglected to seal pat of their work so water leaked into the trunk. How much you asked? There was a puddle a couple inches deep where teh spare tire goes. There's also mold on the cardboard-like tire cover. Sorry to hijack the thread, BV I think the gently used beater is probably the best route, at least in terms of just getting a decent car for now.
  17. I love it.
  18. Makes me want to get LoJack. I hope you find it man.
  19. It's an improvement, but it's still not a real Buick.
  20. I prefer the `06 and up face, the pre MCE looked ungainly and just plain horrid. The Maxx body style helps too. Although the new on is much better IMO. Nevertheless, the new lighst work well with teh SS package and make it look a little more sinister. That G6 man...can't warm up to it.
  21. This stuff is pure rubbish that lacks any sort of aesthetic appeal, or design creativity. Now this is some cool stuff. ZAHA HADID’s Performing Arts Centre in Abu Dhabi:
  22. Chevette would be a bad name, the Beat, Groove, or Trax are better names.
  23. Free wrench!
