I know it's not small, I think it's the greenhouse that makes it look like C-segment car.

Is it just me or does it look small?

The folks at AutoWeek.nl decided to take the wind out of Opel's sails by posting images of the new Insignia before it released official information later this week. We've seen the basic shape and several details of the Insignia when Opel sent out "official" spy shots of their new D-segment player (think Mondeo, Passat), but these newest pictures tell the whole tale, sans artful camouflage. Due to hit dealers in Europe this October, the Insignia will replace the Vectra and come equipped with a handful of diesel- and gasoline-powered engines, ranging in displacement from 1.6- to 2.8-liters. Both 1.6-liter and a 2.0-liter turbocharged engines will be equipped in the entry level models, with a 250 hp, 2.8-liter V6 powering the range-topper. Diesel mills packing 1.9-liters of displacement and outputting 120 to 150 hp will also be offered, and there's also talk of a 180 hp, 1.9-liter turbo and a 2.9-liter V6 diesel. The Insignia is relevant to those of us in the States since it will likely replace the Saturn Aura in the next few years. The styling is a slight step above Saturn's current sedan, with an attractive front clip and a rather dynamic swage line that begins aft of the front fender and runs parallel with the rocker panels. Gray Malibu LT...I love how the designers put a full width chrome strip where the fog lights would go instead of cheesy black plastic or gaping holes like everyone else does. It's very classy and doesn't make the car scream "i couldn't afford the nice one with fog lights". `72 Dodge Demon

Really nice work! Your Saturn logo looks great. As far as metal goes you're is quite good, just keep in mind that shiny metal has very dark areas in addition to highlights that are basically white. So the higher the contrast of grays the more it will look like metal. You can see in the Opel logo how there's very dark areas in addition to the very light areas.

Neil was suitably disappointed, but attributed the change of heart to a lack of on-air personality on his part, although last year he was part of the 10-episode WIRED Science show on PBS. In a more discouraging sign, meanwhile, indications are that the scathing rhetoric that makes the BBC show such a hit will be severely curtailed by NBC, who fear a backlash from sponsors. According to Carolla, the program was set to begin filming at the El Toro Marine Air Base in California on March 20.

I'm liking that new steering wheel, as well as what I can see of the interior. Wrap-around dash FTW. The exhausts look nice too and the overall shape looks much better than teh current dumpy LaCrosse. Can't wait to see it with no camo.

They took a Jeep Liberty and made it ugly. That front end is horrible. The rear is OK but I've seen better and the rest is pretty generic. The interior looks interesting besides the stupid placement of the shifter. Chrysler has started a bad trend.

Nice concept but the execution needs work.

Proof that certain people should not be allowed to own new cars It's fixable at least.
